@Candy_nee: I can't tell if it's bloat or my excess intake of leftover Halloween candy....
With one if my miscarriages I think it took me until about 8 weeks to feel like I was having bump and not bloat.

@NurseDMB: fingers crossed that you're earlier than you originally thought. It is super stressful. Sending you positive vibes and hugs!

@Candy_nee: yes! I'm wearing my old maternity jeans because the bloat is so bad. I feel like I just ate 10 thanksgiving dinners.
@QBbride: thanks! I'm almost positive I was 12dpo yesterday. I just don't get it because my symptoms are increasing, right now I have really bad nausea and feel like I could throw up. I'm going to test tomorrow and see if it's darker than the other day. I didn't tell them that my O date is a few days off from my LMP, so I know they probably think I'm further along, but I really don't know if that changes anything.

@NurseDMB: I was in the same situation. I ovulated later (CD18) and they were thinking I was already well over 4 weeks when I got my blood draw. Hopefully the darkness of the line gives you some peace of mind.
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@NurseDMB: they were probably going off your LMP. I O'd probably 4-7 days after a typical 28-day cycle. Good idea to test again tomorrow (or even wait an extra day if you can).
kiwi / 643 posts
@Tidybee: yep, I didn't even get a positive OPK until CD 18, so I think I ovulated somewhere between cd19-20.
@QBbride: I should probably wait to test until Thursday or Friday but I know I will cave tomorrow morning, lol
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@NurseDMB: haha try hard not to test! Then you won't be second guessing whether you've waited long enough etc. so nerve wracking though. I was like that last cycle and I didn't do myself any favours. I was a wreck emotionally.

@Candy_nee: Ha ha, yes, my jeans were pretty uncomfy today. I have told a lot of mum friends that I see daily at playschool that I'm expecting and it turns out they had all been asking each other if I was pregnant because they thought I had a bump. At 5 weeks 1 day, day, ha. Yeah, that will be the bloat
@QBbride: I wore DD the other day and could really feel it in my stomach, it freaked me out a bit actually.

@Tidybee: @NurseDMB: @littlebittyhouse: @travelgirl1: so glad it's not just me! I may have to get DH to get the maternity clothes down this weekend just for the pants...

@Candy_nee: I got rid of all my maternity clothes beacause I thought it would be a good long while before we had another baby...I had to order work pants yesterday because I can't stand anything on my belly!
apricot / 324 posts
@littlebittyhouse: I kept all mine, but I'm not sure how many I can use. DS was born in March, so I was biggest in the winter. I can't see wanting to wear my sweaters in June and July... LOL. Plus, I didn't lose all my baby weight between the two, so who knows what even still fits! Oh well, it's a good excuse for new clothes!

Ugh, so I caved this morning at 14 DPO and took another test. Last test was 12dpo (on top) the line is just not getting darker at all. So that combined with the fact that the nurse told me my hcg is low, I am not feeling too hopeful. And I have to wait until Monday to have my levels checked again.
kiwi / 643 posts
And I know I shouldn't compare, but with my DS the line was darker than the control line at this point...
clementine / 950 posts
@NurseDMB: the tests are so variable! Testing is probably making you crazy :s But I'm crossing my fingers for a good hcg on monday!
Those of you with other babies - have you altered carrying them or anything? I hiked with my LO yesterday on my back but it didn't occur to me until later that maybe I shouldn't be doing that? I'm still lifting/throwing him up in the air etc.
Also I feel so terrible today. It's awful, but I'm thankful too.
@Candy_nee: no bloat yet thankfully. I kept all my old mat clothes too but I just want to shop and buy new ones even though I know it's a waste

@fuzzypeaches: thank you! I hope they are, too. Now I'm sitting here googling about how slow rising hcg can indicate an ectopic especially if you had a previous c section (which I did). I forgot how much pregnancy turned me into a CRAZY person, lol.
clementine / 950 posts
@NurseDMB: it makes me totally crazy too. I'm usually a bit anxious but pregnancy makes me beyond the realm of normal :s like an obsessive googler in the middle of the night totally nuts
Maybe think of that as a pregnancy symptom you are having right now! Good sign lol
kiwi / 643 posts
@fuzzypeaches: Lol, me too, I'm a worrier anyway, but pregnancy magnifies it x1000. I remember when we had our ultrasound with DS, I studied the pictures and was convinced he only had half of his brain and actually called the OB office about it. I'm sure everyone in their office had a good laugh about that one, hahaha. Yep, totally crazy.

@NurseDMB: I still have my fingers crossed for you. And pregnancy totally makes me crazy too
Today has been awful First I freaked out because I was having cramps and feeling really sick (both very normal, I know) and thought I must be a bad sign.
Then, my toddler ran off at playschool while I was signing us in. It's a safe building but I checked EVERYWHERE and she was nowhere to be seen. There were about eight adults looking for her, she was missing about five minutes before someone fond her behind a closed door on a secret staircase giggling. I was an absolute mess when the found her, horrible ugly crying. Obviously made worse by pregnancy hormones but I swear, that was the worst give minutes of my life.

@NurseDMB: I can totally understand freaking out. Hoping for great news!
@fuzzypeaches: I feel your pain, it's my first day back at work with morning sickness and I feel awful. Trying to be optimistic that it's a good thing but I have a very "on" type of job (teacher.) I took some Zofran and still feel icky.
@travelgirl1: I am having cramps, too! Like expanding cramps.
I am so glad you found your little girl quickly! That would have been so upsetting!

@travelgirl1: you poor thing! i would have lost it not being able to find my little one!
found out today that sour gummy candy helps my nausea #winning

@travelgirl1: omg! so scary. I would have been a wreck, too! Glad she was okay.

@simplyfelicity: @littlebittyhouse: @NurseDMB: Thanks guys. It was pretty horrifying, not least because she found it so hilarious. She keeps me on my toes

@littlebittyhouse: Oooh that's a great discovery! I have some ginger and peppermint candies that help a bit. Your sweets sound better though
nectarine / 2834 posts
@travelgirl1: oh my gosh, my DD would have done the same thing. She doesn't answer me in our house and I totally panic even though I know she hasn't gone anywhere. She thinks it's hilarious.
nectarine / 2834 posts
@NurseDMB: it looks a tad darker to me. If your beta was 22 for it to double would only be roughly 40, so it might not make a huge difference in the darkness of the lines.
But I totally hear you on the comparing. I pulled out all of my tests from my m/cs and they were all darker. It's so easy to drive yourself crazy. You'll know for sure soon....

@Candy_nee: I'm feeling the same! I also think my old maternity clothes won't work for this one so we will see how it goes.
The bloat plus the constant wanting to toss my cookies makes for a very fun day

My bloat is out of control!
Also, making chicken in the slow cooker tonight. Worst idea ever! The whole house reaks and I want to barf.

I've also been having on and off bouts of feeling really anxious. I've been trying to acknowledge some of my fears but not give in to obsessive worrying.
apricot / 324 posts
@angelachase: I'm dealing with that too. There are times where I am so so so anxious. I don't remember being like this with my first pregnancy. Maybe b/c I had betas and early ultrasounds with my RE so I was constantly reassured. This time I don't have that so I'm always worried. And, I don't feel awful all the time, so I'm worried that my lack of symptoms (barring the constant exhaustion and massive sore boobs) is also a bad sign.

@angelachase: @littlebittyhouse: Yay for due date twins!!
I go for my first ultrasound tomorrow morning! So super excited and so nervous at the same time! I just hope and pray so hard that everything all looks good and my numbers and good and everything just be good. My only real symptoms are sore boobs...like they feel like bricks and I've been tired but not so much today and feeling a little bloated/gassy. I can't wait for everything to be good tmw.
cantaloupe / 6630 posts
@angelachase: my anxiety is off the charts. Normal, I think.
@nicole112: Yay! Good luck. Can't wait to hear how it went!
I am wavering between needing to throw up and being okay. This is the point I started being very sick with my daughter, so it's reassuring and terrifying all at the same time

Hey July mamas! It's been busy around here with my birthday, my son's 1st birthday, and planning for the invasion of grandparents this weekend to celebrate his birthday. I'm thankful and worried that my nausea was only bad at the start of last week. But I'm trying to just get lost in the busyness of life right now as I wait for my ultrasound 1 week from today.
@Candy_nee: I'm so glad you brought up the bloat and that everyone has been chiming in. I seriously already feel like I'm showing and I can't suck it in anymore! It definitely wasn't like this for my first. I feel like I didn't show until 16 weeks!
@NurseDMB: Sending lots of positive vibes your way for a great beta on Monday!
@fuzzypeaches: Sometimes I do think about how I'm carrying my son, He can be such a wiggleworm though that I have to contort every which way to counteract his weight. Hope my insides can continue to handle the acrobatic tummy twists for a while.
@travelgirl1: I would have freaked out if I couldn't find my son! Your tears were totally appropriate! And as sucky as the sick feelings are, I totally hear you on the reassurance. I never thought I'd want to be nauseous.
@littlebittyhouse: oooh, when my nausea kicks in I'm totally going to seek out some sour candies
@angelachase: Maybe journal some of your feelings to clear your head? Writing things out helps me.
@nicole112: Good luck at your ultrasound today! So exciting!

Having mantras & being purposeful in my thinking is helping me a lot with the anxiety. I keep saying to myself, "worrying is like praying for the thing you don't want" and that I can't control whether or not this pregnancy will thrive, what's going to happen is going to happen, and all the worrying does is make this time less enjoyable.
pear / 1570 posts
@angelachase: @Candy_nee: @travelgirl1: The anxiety is really tough this time around. I think for me it happened so easily this time that I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop despite a great number and great ultrasound at 4w4d!
@travelgirl1: same here! i felt ok yesterday but then was freaked out by that. today is making up for feeling good yesterday.
Is anyone else having trouble drinking water? I feel like everytime I take a sip it is just going to come right back up
apricot / 324 posts
@littlebittyhouse: That's exactly it! It came so much easier this time that I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop. And since I don't have the reassurance this time, it's even worse.
@angelachase: I'm trying to keep all my thoughts positive and productive. The thought being the positive thoughts will bring the positive things into being.

@travelgirl1: @sweetooth: Thanks ladies!!
My ultrasound went well. They said "it can't look better than this!" That is exactly what I wanted to hear...especially on my birthday! This is by far the best birthday present I have ever received! They said I am measuring 5 weeks 1 day so I'm a little more behind than I thought! And my official due date is July 15, 2015. They also gave me a print out of my little nugget!
