@hocuspocus: Awww!!! I registered for an Ergo, but we didn't get it! My sister did get me the Moby though, but I heard there's quite a learning curve with it!

@glitterboots: My boobs really only swelled up in size, they didn't get considerably bigger. I was kinda looking forward to that too

@MrsBrewer: Ergo's are actually on sale on zulily right now. There isn't a big selection though. I ended up purchasing one through there instead of the one I registered for. So, I will have that and I got a K'tan from my shower.

@Eko: My Mother's Day kind of sucked. DH wished me happy Mother's Day which was sweet, but I feel like I kind of ruined my mom's Mother's Day. My parents were visiting for the weekend, and on Sunday I just kind of had an overflow of stress and emotion and I'm pretty sure I hurt my mom's feelings even though I didn't intend to.
My emotions have just felt completely raw for the last 24 hours. Stupid pregnancy hormones!

I know @dc yoga bee: had a thread about this recently... What does your mucus plug look like when/if you lose it? Can it start early on?
nectarine / 2148 posts
@Mrs.KMM: oh no! Pregnancy hormones are definitely nuts. I start getting super cranky if I get tired. Sorry that your Mother's Day wasn't so nice though. Next year should be extra special though!
@LindsayInNY: I was curious about this myself and, against better judgement, ended up googling images. It wasn't too gross or anything, but helped to give me an idea of what to look for.

I asked my midwife about the mucus plug, and she said totally could be. She wasn't too concerned, said it could come out slowly in bits and pieces over weeks, and regenerate. She did tell me to be sure to drink even more h20 as we head into warmer weather.
I got the beco Gemini from Honest, but am thinking of exchanging it for an ergo. The beco is super stiff.

@mrsbrewer moby wraps look super comfy! I'm probably going to get some kind of a wrap for when baby girl is tiny. I think they have to be a certain weight for the ergo and we didn't get the insert. DH is very excited about wearing the ergo lol.
@mrs. Kmm I know what you mean about the hormones. Mine have been so up and down lately. I feel crazy lol. I'm sure your mom understands. Hugs.

No leaking or anything for me yet. My boobs definitely got bigger during the first trimester or so, but they haven't changed a lot since then. They started off so big pre-pregnancy though, that I'm concerned that once my milk comes in, they'll be too big and uncomfortable to even attempt breast-feeding.

I got a Mei Tai wrap/carrier at one of my showers and I'm really excited to try it out!

I know I was forgetting to ask you guys something. My midwife recommended we start having sexy time at 37 weeks. We haven't had sex once since I threw up during it at 18 weeks . Has anyone else heard why? I didn't ask. Just told her I don't think so lol!
nectarine / 2148 posts
@dc yoga bee: I've only heard it as an inducing technique. Maybe that's why she's recommending it starting at 37w. I was thinking about upping it up starting then to maybe help move things along.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Eko: @MamaB: hmm I don't want to necessarily speed things up. DH loved hearing that thought lol. They did tell me walking will not cause you to go into labor if you're not already getting ready to go into labor. I was scared to go for walks lol!
coconut / 8861 posts
@dc yoga bee: With my LO, I walked a lot the day I went into labor with him. I did a huge walk to Target and back to the office. I went into labor after work starting about 7pm until we got admitted into the hospital around midnight.

@78h2o: Yup! Their selection of the 360 is a little bigger than their original models. Plus, since those are pricier, they are not selling out as quickly.
@dc yoga bee: haha. I am sure DH would not mind! I am just concerned about being late!

Ugh. My whole family (husband, toddler, myself) have some serious stomach bug. I'll spare you details, but it's been a rough few days and I assume we're in for a few more. Just trying to stay hydrated and keep the house sort of clean.
For the record, I love my Ergo.

We got the Ergo 360 and a Solly wrap! The Solly is so beautiful and perfect weight for a summer baby in the South!
I had a major breakdown Saturday over not being able to fit into my wedding rings! The tears would just not stop! Hormones! I stayed in my pjs all day for Mother's Day and it was perfect!

@Jess1483: Oh gosh, that sounds so awful, especially at this point in pregnancy. Hugs, mama... I hope it makes it's way out of your house soon!
ETA: I want the Ergo 360, but I got this Boba carrier (http://www.amazon.com/Boba-3G-Baby-Carrier-Kangaroo/dp/B005SPJVMA/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8) at a consignment shop for $20, so I think I will try it first, as I've heard good things about it.

@78h2o wow $20 is a steal! I almost got a boba they're so cute with their little designs on them. They look super comfy too!

I had my 34 week appointment and I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead so she has ordered a growth ultrasound ! My blood pressure was also up a a little bit and she asked if we had our car seat installed.
I guess we should start getting ready!

I had my 37 week appointment yesterday. I nearly forgot about it while at work. Baby's head down for sure. During the weekend, I thought that his butt was up in the air and to the right. Sure enough, he is. Other than the irritations of my bits, things are going pretty well. I had a bit of a blood pressure scare yesterday because I rushed there as quick as I could.
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@hocuspocus: yeah, I like some of the other designs better, but for $20, I figured it was worth it!
@rpparker: yay for getting to see baby! I need to install my infant carseat... thanks for the reminder...going to do that today!
@cascademom: I just came from my 37w appointment. It was totally boring, except I learned I don't have GBS, which is great! BP was good, baby's HR good, baby's head still down, and measurements good. I have gained a ton of weight at this point (~40+), but the doctor didn't say anything about it.
coconut / 8861 posts
@78h2o: Oh, I have GBS again. I forgot about that. It just means antibiotics during labor which isn't all that bad. When I had LO, once we got there, they hooked me up on an IV with two four hour courses of it before pushing.

I am meeting my husband for lunch today. He got to the restaurant before me and just called to ask if I could fit into a booth. #Thingsnottoaskapregnantwoman.

@78h2o I've gained 40 pounds too so far my doctor hasn't really said much, probably cause she sees the shame all over my face. lol I've kind of gotten over it though. At first I was so upset about it but now I'm just going with it. I guess it could be worse? My friend gained 75 with her first
coconut / 8861 posts
@hocuspocus: I've gained about that much this time around too. I'm thinking that I'll easily lose 20 pounds upon delivery. I plan to do WW at 6 weeks postpartum and will hopefully maintain supply.
apricot / 363 posts
@78h2o: The hormonal breakdown I had Saturday partly involved not being able to sit in a booth! But still he doesn't have to bring it up!
apricot / 373 posts
@cascademom yeah I'm hoping I lose about 10-20 after delivery and then hopefully breastfeeding and exercise will help with the rest. Sorry what does WW mean? Lol
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@hocuspocus: I gained a lot with my first too... I stopped weighing when I hit 50, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was 60-70. I lost most of it right away though... A lot of it was water weight.
@rpparker: aww, I'm sorry hon. Well this booth was huge, so it's pretty funny/disturbing that my husband didn't know if I would fit! I totally remember bawling during my first pregnancy because my maternity clothes stopped fitting!

@rrparker Oh my gosh!! Crazy!
I had my 36 week appointment today. I got tested for GBS, I'll find out next week. We talked about our birth plan, and I asked about what I can take for the reflux I've been having. Everything looked great, my BP was good, belly measured right on track, FHR was 155, and she's still head down. I really love the midwife we saw today, I'm secretly hoping she'll be the one on call when I have LO.

@rpparker: I'm a teacher and last week I started not to be able to fit in the desks. I have to sit sideways and it's super uncomfortable. I think one of my students snickered when I heaved myself up today with a huge grunt

I ordered my breast pump this morning! I ended up going with the Medela Freestyle.
Apparently I was given some inaccurate information from my insurance company when we first called them. We had originally been told that it would be covered 100%, but it turns out there was $150 upgrade charge for that particular pump. DH said to just go ahead and get it since that was the one that I had researched and decided that I wanted. It is supposed to arrive by the end of the week!

@Mrs.KMM: Yay!! My insurance only offers Ameda Purely Yours, and I heard it sucks!
@glitterboots: getting up is just so difficult these days. Hang in there!

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I truly checked in on here - I've been following along, just not posting.
Anyway, I went in for my 34 week appointment this afternoon, and everything was good. I found out my hospital doesn't do pre-registration or birth plans (other hospitals in the system do), so we talked about our preferences for things and that was about all. I was warned that at my next appointment, the fun starts - group B strep test and cervical checks - and we scheduled out my last OB appointments.
I can't believe it's already almost time!!

Just had my 36 week appt and everything looks great along with my growth scan. The baby is measuring perfectly and right on track! 45th percentile and about 6.5 lbs right now. They think I'm measuring so big in the outside because I'm short (I'm only 5'2) I am also 1 cm dilated!

Can't believe we're all getting so close! Speaking of, has anyone heard from @BabyMats:? I wonder how she and the twins are doing.

@Jess1483: Sorry to hear about your stomach bug. Sick and pregnant is awful.
My whole family has a terrible cough and cold. I've had a productive cough for over a month and got this new cold with worse cough last week. Coughing hurts so much. I keep hearing stories of women having a cough until delivery. The thought of coughing for another month made me cry yesterday.

Netflix announced season 3 of Orange is the New Black will be released on June 12. I know what I'll be binge watching during the first few weeks of maternity leave. Ha!
