@hocuspocus: I see no stretch marks in that picture! You look great!
I've never heard of the dates thing but honestly, I find them to be gross. So I wouldn't eat them even if the old wives tale is true!

@rpparker: going home early and sleeping was an excellent choice. hope you feel better soon! Glad that you are having some better daycare visits!
@hocuspocus: you look great! The baby definitely looks low!

@hocuspocus: Yep, I've heard about eating dates. I've actually never had a date, so I don't know what they taste like. My midwife told me to start Red Raspberry Leaf tea, primrose evening oil, and dates tomorrow. I'm not doing the epo though. Another midwife in the practice did her thesis on it and did a study and found no evidence it helps! I love tea so won't mind toning the uterus with red raspberry leaf.

@hocuspocus: you look amazing!!!!! Plus you gave me courage! I'll post a bare belly shot as well. Stretch marks and all!

@78h2o: @Mrs.KMM: as you can see, I'm covered in stretch marks! Hahah but that's okay. I was never a bikini girl anyways

@mrsbrewer yay for belly shots! You look great!
@dc yoga bee I heard about the epo, and raspberry leaf tea I've been drinking it like crazy. I stocked up on dried dates, they're okay kinda remind me of giant raisins. They're not too bad mixed with oatmeal idk about the epo it just sounds messy
I can't believe how close we all are!

@MrsBrewer: I missed the picture! Cute bump momma
How is everyone feeling today? My midwife said to get the tdap by 36 weeks, which is today, so I guess I better get on that lol!

@dc yoga bee: Thank you!
I'm feeling okay today. I think I got my Tdap shot at my last appt, and surprisingly it didn't hurt at all, my arm wasn't even sore afterwards!

@dc yoga bee: My OB gave me mine at my 31 week appointment, so I don't have to worry about that anymore!
@MrsBrewer: I told you! Glad you found it to not be too bad.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Mrs.KMM: my office doesn't do it. 30 practioners, thousands of clients, and no tdap in the office!?! And I still haven't been! I'm off today, and have been napping all day lol.

@dc yoga bee: Where do you have to go to get it done? Some sort of walk-in clinic?
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Mrs.KMM: yeah either my family practice doctor or cvs. Since we never established a family doctor upon moving here, I'm going to cvs. Nearest one is 6 miles, and in DC that's faaar LOL! I have now showered and dressed. I just need to get the will to get my keys and go.

@LindsayInNY: oh no, they have a host of vaccines offered at their minute clinics.

@dc yoga bee: Ohhh, I wasn't thinking about the clinics!!! I was thinking of the pharmacies for some reason!

Well this sucked. I had a mani/pedi appt at 10 but as soon as I got out of the shower my nose started gushing blood. I've always gotten nose bleeds but it wouldn't stop. Finally after 25 minutes it did. We were just about to go to the ER. So now I'm just sitting here taking it easy

@MrsBrewer: Yikes! Did you get any more over the weekend?
How was everyone's Mother's Day? DH got me a nice mom-to-be card and said that he has a gift for me, but is waiting until after the baby is born as it is sort of a combo happy mother's day/thanks for giving birth to my son gift.

@Eko: Thankfully no. I was talking to my SIL who is a nurse and also has 4 LO's of her own, and she said it sounds like my blood pressure might have just spiked, especially since I have been having such bad swelling lately too. Luckily i go in for my 36 weeks appt tomorrow.

@MrsBrewer: I'm glad you didn't have to go to the ER!
Has anyone else's sleep gone to crap? I'm waking up 5+ times a night. It's SO frustrating!
coconut / 8854 posts
@MamaB: YES!!! I barely sleep at all at night! Between being uncomfortable, and having to pee every 5 minutes.....
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@MrsBrewer: Yikes!! I'm glad you're feeling better. You still need that mani/pedi
@MamaB: Sleep? What's that lol!!
Y'all, I had my 36 week apt on Saturday. Did the GBS test, and get this- I have a milk cyst!! I thought it was a lipoma under my armpit, but no it's a cyst filled with milk. The irony is I really have no desire to breastfeed. But, I've been leaking since 26 weeks, I take a shower and leak, I eat a bowl of oatmeal- and my shirt will be soaked in 5 minutes, and now this! The midwife thought it was funny, and said I'm totally going to have an over supply it looks like. Maybe I will give it a try, or try pumping.
nectarine / 2148 posts
@MrsBrewer: That sounds reassuring! Good timing on the dr. appt. too.
@dc yoga bee: That sounds crazy! I didn't know milk cysts existed. Maybe you will have to at least pump just to avoid engorgement?
coconut / 8854 posts
@dc yoga bee: I'm rescheduling for this Saturday I think!!
Crazy about the milk cyst! I guess your body is just ready to produce some milk!!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Eko: @MrsBrewer: Yeah, she said they don't give pills anymore to dry you up since it causes cancer . She was cool though, and said don't pump or breastfeed otherwise it will keep up the supply. Just take hot showers, and wear tight bras. I'm still on the fence, and am just going to play it by ear. I almost hate to waste all this milk to be honest!
coconut / 8854 posts
@dc yoga bee: Yikes cancer?! Stay away from those pills girl!!! Well I think that's the best idea to just play it by ear! Who knows what will happen, you will only figure it out once your baby is here anyways
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@Eko: the problem with pumping is it just tells your body to make more milk!
@dc yoga bee: I'd just play it by ear! You could save a lot of money by bf'ing, but it is a big commitment. I can't believe you have so much milk already - I haven't had any leaking (not really a surprise considering how much I struggled with supply last time).
37 weeks today! Baby is officially early term! Wahoo! 38 via ultrasound measurements. Thinking/hoping I have another 2 weeks or so?!?

My sleep hasn't been the best but it's carpal tunnel related and not belly/uncomfortable/etc. related. I've also been extremely hot lately. Like I'm always sweating.

@lindsayinny I've been having some serious hot flashes lately and feeling a little dizzy. I feel ya.
Sleep is so hard with this big belly. I'm soo looking forward to sleeping on my belly again lol
I haven't really leaked at all, I hope that doesn't mean I'll have a problem with my supply. Been kind of worried about that...
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@LindsayInNY: I'm sorry, that sucks! I had an issue during my pregnancy with J where my thumbs would pop out of their sockets during the night due to fluid pooling in my hands. It was so painful! Fortunately I don't have any of that this time!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@LindsayInNY: my midwife recommended these for my carpal tunnel. I lurve them!! The padded part makes all the difference for me!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@hocuspocus: She said leaking or not leaking isn't indicative by itself how your supply will be. It's the fact I've been leaking so much, coupled with a bowl of instant oatmeal soaking my shirt, and a milk cysts that she said I will probably have an oversupply.

@78h2o: It's been going on since about 18 weeks so I just keep telling myself I have anywhere from 4 to 7 1/2 weeks left of it... It was just at night initially, then moved to right (dominant) hand continuously, now it's both hands. All I can feel are my pinkies. The rest of my fingers are all numb and tingly.
@dc yoga bee: I've been wearing both an elbow and wrist brace to bed but it provides little to no relief at this point. It use to help... I was wearing the wrist brace during the day too but that didn't seem to make a difference so I gave up on it. Nothing helps - ice, heat, stretching... This is my 4th week of acupuncture and it doesn't help one bit either.

I'm actually kind of jealous to hear about the leaking. No leaking here, and my breasts haven't changed size at all! I'm still wearing my regular bras! I really wanted to breastfeed this time

This week is my last week of work! After a rough week last week, I'm ready to chill at home for awhile until this one arrives. I feel like his butt is right in the middle of my stomach these days. I'll find out tomorrow where he's positioned.
Other than continued downstairs discomfort and keeping my husband out of bed with snoring, things are okay here. I'm thinking that the continued discomfort is a yeast infection again, but can't be sure. I did breathe right nasal strips last night and DH finally slept in bed with me for the first time in 4 days. I'm wearing a maternity belt which has been helping a bit too.

I've recently become obsessed with babywearing we got an ergo 360 at our babyshower but now I'm thinking I want a girasol wrap. They're so pretty!
