    @bunbun Beautiful picture!
    I had also never thought of oyster crackers! Weirdly goldfish crackers worked really well for me last time. Plus they were less suspicious and I could use them to bribe the kids in my class haha. I was so so sick with my son and it seems to be kicking in even earlier this time, which, upside, makes me slightly less of a nervous wreck. Emphasis on the slightly.

    Just when I thought/ hoped that I might be coming out of morning sickness early this time (9 weeks tomorrow)...I threw up in the kitchen sink this am 😭. I was sick till about 16 weeks last time so I’m hoping it ends sooner...

    @skiierchck99: Oh gosh—not fun!

    My symptoms are so on and off and it’s making me so nervous. I’ve had 2 pretty bad days (I never throw up—just get really nauseous) but since then they have been super mild. I was also showing slightly at 6 weeks last time, but this time nothing. I’ve lost a little more weight though (down 5 pounds) so maybe that’s it. I hate the first trimester!

    @Becky: you read my mind. I was just getting my day started here and reading articles about coping with early pregnancy after a loss. And I thought I hate the first trimester.

    I’ve been really struggling - just not sleeping well, feeling queasy a lot (but no vomiting thankfully) and terribly sore boobs. My DH doesn’t get it but thankfully I can complain on here from time to time.

    @yellowbeach: I like this one. It’s not all roses and sunshine but it did help getting some perspective and the reminder to be in the now (I’m pregnant now)

    @MrsJBeeG: Thank you! that was helpful to read.
    I hadn't realized how much I was holding back until reading that. I haven't told anyone unless there's a reason for it: I can't have that x-ray because I might be pregnant, I'm not drinking because I'm pregnant, I should drive to that meeting because I am 8 weeks along and I get motion sick more easily. So I'm not sharing out of joy, but out of fear.
    I've thought it before, "I'm pregnant now," but it's still not possible for me to get from just saying it, to saying it with a sense of assurance, much less a sense of looking forward to what comes next. I hope feeling movement gets me to "I am pregnant now!!" and that I can gradually start to *want* to plan for a baby sometime before June without qualifying everything with "if" or "it's something we should be doing anyway, regardless of what happens in June"

    Thank God for you ladies, because I'm not ready to talk about it with anyone - even talking about this with friends who have been through it. It's probably not fair to think of them this way, but I think my hesitation is because either they have their "rainbow baby" and the hindsight and assurance that comes with it or they don't, and I'm not ready to accept that outcome yet either

    @BUNBUN: I’m glad the article helped a little. This road is so tough. So much of what you wrote in your post resonates with me. It is so hard. And it’s hard to be open and share. I’ve told almost no one this time as I can’t stand the thought of having to explain if there’s another loss. My DH talks about this baby a lot already and I just can’t. I talk about “if Baby g” comes - I hate the caveat but I’m coping (I think) but not expecting goodness this time. It’s sad because I do want to celebrate this pregnancy but right now - I just can’t.

    Hugs to everyone! We can get through this together for certain! That’s why we are on this site.

    Whelp...someone asked me if I was pregnant today! (I guess anonymity was nice while it lasted?). Though it was a daycare worker and I had told the director this morning so it’s possible she just has a big mouth :).

    How’s everyone feeling??

    @skiierchck99 I’m seeing a bunch of friends and family this weekend and then work colleagues next week (I usually work remote) so I’m expecting to be asked too. Haven’t decided whether to lie or not!

    It’s been 5 years since my last pregnancy and I had forgotten how early the little one takes the reigns! I’m feeling nauseous and bloated and having trouble sleeping and I keep thinking it’s psychosomatic but when I think about it things started right around 5 weeks with my previous pregnancies as well.

    I am definitely thinking boy since I’m feeling very similar to how I felt with my son. I’m hardly puking at all although there is some dry heaving and nausea.

    Oh and my doctor says my due date is June 22 but I think it’s generally somewhere between the 22-27 because I don’t have my period date. Blah. DH doesn’t think it matters but I really want to know ‘’accurately.’’ First in-office doctors appointments 11/18.

    @LAZB: Yay!
    @skiierchck99: Ugh. Awful today. I had a long (13+ hr) work day yesterday and today I just want to go home and go to bed. The rain isn't helping
    I'm having to seriously camouflage the bump at work. Luckily, it's finally scarf weather. It's going to be interesting packing for my conference next week...like how many boxes of oyster crackers will I need? lol

    @BUNBUN: I also find tortilla chips are very helpful! And I hate ginger but I’ve been doing a lot of peppermints!

    I gave up and told bosses at work since I’ve been feeling so rotten. And I figure I’d tell them if I had a mc anyway so 🤷‍♀️

    I have to retrieve my maternity clothes back from my SIL—I had given her all of them not thinking I’d be pregnant so soon. I HATE anything restrictive while pregnant so I’m going to order a bunch of dresses like this and wear them with these super comfy lined tights all winter https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=481424022&pcid=999#pdp-page-content

    We’re announcing tonight at DD’s bday party. It’s all family and a set of close friends. I can’t pass off just feeling like crap to my kids any longer—they already asked if I was pregnant!

    What a lively board! I love it!

    Location: Utah
    EDD: July 7
    How far along: 4 weeks
    First child? #3
    First doctor appointment: Probably sometime in December
    Any symptoms so far? none yet.
    Who have you told? DH and one coworker.
    Team green, but I'm hoping boy since DD gave me bad morning sickness!

    I know technically I'm in July, but my kids have all come early and I see so many experienced moms on this board I don't want to miss out! I'll probably bounce back and forth once the July board is up.

    When did you all tell your kids? I had such bad morning sickness with #2 that if that happens again, I may need to tell them earlier than other folks.

    @codeitall: Welcome! I’m 6 weeks 2 days and we’re telling the kids today.

    So I had a minor freak out moment today. Seemed like the nausea went away mid morning - I’d gotten used to it being an ever present companion. So of course when it seemed to be gone, I freaked out thinking the worst.

    I guess I’m happy to say that after dry heaving at lunch and feeling some of the worst nausea so far - my freak out seems silly.

    For those of you on your third or more pregnancy, is anyone else showing later this time? I actually showed later with my second pregnancy than my first because I lost weight. This time I thought by now I’d need some maternity pants but definitely not yet. Just makes me nervous.

  31. msmilkshake

    cherry / 146 posts

    @mrsjbeeg I swear every time I’m not nauseous, or feel less nauseous for 30 seconds I convince myself something is horribly wrong.

    This Dr’s appointment still feels years away, but is finally under 2 weeks. Bright side, I just survived a field trip on the day after Halloween with my class of 4th graders so, there’s a win!

  32. skiierchck99

    kiwi / 518 posts

    @msmilkshake: I’m like rolling in and out of it. Sometimes I feel great and sometimes...I’m ready for it to be over, and super ready for my doctors appointment next week where I hope we can hear the heartbeat on the Doppler! Time is crawling.

  33. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

    @msmilkshake: Oh I totally do this. Analyzing every symptom and disappearance of symptom.

    AFM, I hate to say it because really all I want is a healthy kid, but I climbed into the attic yesterday for some Halloween stuff, and damn if I don't have 8-9 HUGE storage containers of baby clothes from DD. Up there, I secretly hoped for a girl this time around, too - just to give a lot of those cute clothes a new life. Stupid and superficial, but I thought it. I will freely say that jet streams of pee also scare me, which is my secondary reason for leaning girl.

  34. msmilkshake

    cherry / 146 posts

    @yellowbeach Lol, the pee streams are serious business. Now that DS is potty trained but too short to stand up at most toilets they have returned to my life with a vengeance!

    I’ve also noticed that my nausea with this pregnancy is way worse in the afternoon, which leaves me freaking out all morning and then suddenly being like oh, there it is at about now o’clock

    10 weeks today which means - no more PIO shots! 🎉🎉. I stopped the estrogen about a week ago because of migraines but it’s so nice to be done with the shots.

    @skiierchck99: can’t wait for no more pio or suppositories! The pio was giving me major bruising and rashes, but it got better about a week ago, no idea why. I still can’t wait to stop though!
