How are all the June Mama's doing? Everyone feeling good and starting to really show now?
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
Have any other June Moms started their every 2 weeks appointments yet? My first one was yesterday. I found out I gained 5lbs in 2 weeks (grrr) but I am measuring right on track and everything else looks great! We have less than 3 months to go!!

I started my every 2 week appointments today actually. They gave me an ultrasound (LO wasn’t moving as much today/last night as usual, so wanted to make sure she is ok, which she is), and she is measuring as weighing 3.5lbs already – which sounds huge to me!! I’ve gained 20lbs total, and my OB said I should gain another 10 by 40 weeks.

I am just starting my every 2 week appointments, I had one last week at 26 weeks and I have one on Tuesday for 28 weeks! I am kinda proud of myself because I have only gained about 10 lbs so far. Does anyone have baby showers coming up? The ladies at my church are throwing a baby shower for me (and another lady from the church) tomorrow evening!

Hey ladies, I took a bit of a break from hellobee for a while but it's good to see there are still some June mamas hanging out here!
I'm 27w 2d now and I don't start my bi-weekly appointments until 30 weeks. I have my GD test in a week and a half so really hoping that all goes well.
I'm still feeling well and my belly has finally popped. I've gained about 21 lbs already (ugh!) but my midwives say that is spot on for what they wanted, and it's only in my belly/chest, so I'm trying not to worry about it.
We're Team Green so no idea on the gender but we have finished our shopping list for baby and are feeling pretty well set for the bub!
How's everyone else doing?

@cyndistar3: how was your baby shower? That's so sweet that the church ladies threw you a shower!
@Ree723: how did your gd test go? Hope you passed!
I started kick counts this week. I haven't had to do much other than my normal routine, she's kicking like crazy right now! Last night I got the wind knocked out of me while making dinner. Craziness.

@mediagirl: It was great! We had a ton of fun and I got most of tge things I needed. I still haven't brought myself to do kuck counts though because my lo moves a good majority of the time and it seems like itvwould be hard to keep track of it all lol!

@mediagirl: Thanks for checking in! I passed the GD test with no issue and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be! I had stressed over it but that's what I get for looking it up on the internet and reading a plethora of horror stories!
I've only done kick counts a couple of times when the LO has had a quiet day. Little bub is usually pretty active throughout the day, hence not doing daily kick counts, but when it's a quiet day, I get nervous and the kick counter reassures me a bit!

How are you ladies doing?
Looks like it's now possible for me to be a June mama, too.

I'm doing good minus the enormous anount of swelling in my feet and back pain. Going to be 35/35 tomorrow and have a growth ultrasound next week (she measured 2 weeks ahead at my last one), so excited to see her little face again!
How are the other June mommas? Anyone have everything ready for baby's arrival?

I'm great! 18 days until the due date... but I'm expecting her to be late. If she's on time, I will be shocked. Everything is ready and set up, so I'm pretty much just biding my time and wrapping things up at work.

Was just going to bump this thread! I had my 38 week appointment today and LO has dropped very low. I am dilated almost 2cm and 80% effaced. Having contractions (both BH and real ones) although they are short and at least 15 minutes apart (and sometimes hours apart) so that's not too concerning, just uncomfortable.
My doctor is concerned about swelling and blood pressure and requested that I stop working this Friday. So, Friday will be my last day at work, and good news is I’ll still get my 12 weeks after LO is born. I’ve basically worked since I was 15 (am 30 now), so even though I’m really uncomfortable and barely get any sleep, it’s going to be so weird not to get myself up for work and go to the office everyday starting next week!
Our nursery is mostly done. My husband put the crib together yesterday and hired a maid service to come in and deep clean the entire house tomorrow. I joked with him that we’re so yuppie our nesting instinct involving hiring a cleaning service. lol I have zero desire to deep clean my own house, although my husband is all nesty and running around town checking out diapers and wipes and things.
It is very uncomfortable to walk now – TONS and TONS of pelvic pressure. Luckily it isn’t too hot here yet.

Everything is ready. Baby just isn't here yet!! I'm 37w5d tomorrow at my weekly OB appointment. I sure hope I've dilated or something because I am soooo over being pregnant. The groin pain, swollen ankles and feet and stabbing pain down there are these awesome fun parts of pregnancy that no one tells you about!! I can't wait to meet her already.

Hi ladies! I haven't been on this thread for a long time! But I have my 38 week check up tomorrow along with an ultrasound (even though I'll be 38 weeks Friday). I was checked last Tuesday but only .5 cm dilated. She's low but I haven't dropped yet I'm looking forward to that since the heartburn is insane!
My blood pressure has been elevated for 3 weeks so I've been on bed rest. Anyway, everything is ready for baby!!
How is everyone doing? Lol, I just had to take a break to type that thanks to a strong (false?) contraction.

hi June moms - just an update that baby silverlining will be here on Friday. I'm 40 weeks today and my OB was very straight forward that I have very narrow hips (which I knew), and baby is large. She said she would induce me, but that it's her professional opinion I would likely need a c-section at the end of the day anyhow - so we went ahead and scheduled one for friday. It's my biggest fear to labor for 20+ hours, and then need a c-section. I'd rather just get one from the start so I have an easier recovery.
I dilated and effaced kind of early (37 weeks), and also have contractions that will be like 7-9 min apart for an hour, but then completely go away, so I feel like I basically haven't progressed since then, and baby's head is getting big!
I'm really excited, but also really nervous!

@yoursilverlining: oooohhhh!! Squeal!!! I'm so excited for you! What are you doing tomorrow while you wait for Friday? I can't wait to hear about your new little one!!

Today's officially my due date and I am wishing like crazy that baby would be part of the 5% that comes on it's due date!
