In the hospital since 1pm. Arrived at 5-6 cm and bag bulging. Had contractions start while at Pump It Up with LO around 9:30-10am.Right now waiting for bag to burst or 5pm. Feeling lots of pressure with godsend of an epidural. Baby will be coming in next few hours. My kids are the independent, come when they're ready types.

He's here. Name not official yet. He weighs 7 lbs even and is 20 inches long. Delivered at 6:05pm. Quick delivery at like 20 minutes of pushing.

@78h2o: yeah, it went super fast. Coming home to get LO #1's care in order helped, but sucked as he watched Frozen through contractions. My delivery was amazing!

@MrsBrewer: it was super fast. Contractions were miserable though. Epidural took awhile to get due to blood pressure issues. Cried that I didn't want a natural labor at one point. Epidural slowed labor a bit, but okay because of the antibiotics. Also, I had so much pressure from the bag of waters that epi wasn't as delicious as with DS #1. They got a course and a half in from 2:30-5:50pm. After they noticed that the water broke, delivery started right away.

@cascademom: Congratulations!! He is a gorgeous baby!! I was hoping for 5-25-15 once we hit 8pm of still in labor the day before, but at that point she was finally ready! They still couldn't get my blood pressure down as of 5 hours ago. They didn't seem to concerned, and then I was even more upset with higher BP lol. Mine is finally coming down, so we *should* go home tomorrow.

Well I'm officially pre-eclamptic and they've decided to induce me. They did a cervical check and I'm still really high and posterior and only open a fingertip so it sounds like the first step will be Cytotex.

They're also starting me on a magnesium drip as my blood pressure is high enough that they are concerned about potential seizure risks for me. Which unfortunately means that I am pretty much stuck in the bed with no food from here on out. Birth plans are going out the window but I know it is more important to keep me and baby girl healthy.

@Mrs.KMM: oh man, I've heard the magnesium is yucky but you've got to do what you've for to do! My friend's mom had a seizure due to high BP and got a concussion/broken arm, so you definitely don't want that! I hope your LO will cooperate and be born as smoothly and quickly as possible!
