@NaturallyCathy: Thanks for starting a new board. Time is flying by. I can't believe R is almost 4 months.
How am I doing? Tired. I really want R to start sleeping better. It is getting really hard to be at work on such little sleep. Fingers crossed she starts feeling better soon.

Oh my gosh, we're 1/3 way through the year! That's CRAZY! I stole this from another board and figured we could do this to reintroduce ourselves and our babies:
LO's name: Xander
Age: 4 Months TOMORROW!
Weight: Don't know for sure, but I think close to 14 lbs (according to the totally accurate measuring of me standing on the scale followed by me + baby on the scale)
Length: No clue!
Recent milestones: He's sucking his thumb!!! I can't get it out of his mouth these days! And I can't decide if I want to discourage it and make him take the pacifier, or just let him do it! He's also supposedly rolled over (front to back) last weekend, but he hasn't done it for me, so I don't believe it. And he finally is laughing, but it's RARE! And it's more like a chuckle, like "Heh heh heh".
Milestone you're most looking forward to: I'm looking forward to him being able to roll over both ways and also be able to sit up on his own! He can sit up supported, but he's super wobbly!
How's feeding going: EBF and going strong! We won't be introducing solids until 6 months I believe. And he's a little piggy - probably eats close to 30oz a day!
How's sleep going: Night time sleep is going well! He goes to bed by 7:30 and can fall asleep on his own. I wake him to eat at 9:00 and he usually sleeps until around 4:00/4:30, though will often fall back asleep until I wake him to eat at 5:00. Naps are another story. He's a catnapper and only sleeps ~30 minutes at a time. Yesterday at daycare, he took TWO 10 minute naps and one 40 minute nap! That can't be enough, can it??
What is your favorite trait about your LO? His smiles!! I love it when I go get him in the morning and he just looks soooooo happy to see me! Also, his chatty-ness. He doesn't do it all the time, but sometimes he'll just go on and on and on!
What is something silly that your LO does? When I'm nursing him on the weekends during the day, he has a tendency to pull off the boob over and over just to grin at me! It's cute and frustrating at the same time!
WOHM, WAHM, SAHM or on mat leave? WOHM full time!

@Adira: Happy 4th month bday!!
LO's name: J
Age: 100 days yesterday
Weight: Not sure closer to 14 pounds
Length: No idea at least 24 inches
Recent milestones: He can hold his hands together. Also almost there with rolling from back to front!! Talks a lot and is smiling more.
How's feeding going: EBF pumping. I sometimes give a bottle of formula at night in hope he sleeps longer and to build my freezer stash.
How's sleep going: Night time sleep is still so-so. Most nights he sleeps from 10pm ish to around 2am - 3:am does feeding and then sleeps till 6am. We still have him in boppy on bed and he is almost outgrown. We are not ready to transition to crib yet as his head needs to be elevated due to reflex. He is a good daytime napper gets in at least 4-5 hours in naps. I am glad he is easy baby for my mom to manage during the day.
What is your favorite trait about your LO? His chatting he tries so hard to communicate. He sleeps with his hands near his ears and its so cute.
What is something silly that your LO does? He loves being tickled! When me and DH are having conversation he tries to join in by making cooing sounds.
WOHM, WAHM, SAHM or on mat leave? WOHM full time!

LO's name: Viviana Wren
Age: 3 months tomorrow
Weight: Don't know for sure, but I think 14 pounds ish?
Length: No idea
Recent milestones: She's rolled over (front to back) three times this week, so I don't think it was a fluke!
Milestone you're most looking forward to: I'm looking forward to her being able to sit up unsupported, but I really want her to reach for me.
How's feeding going: EBF! We won't be introducing solids until at least 6 months.
How's sleep going? Finally, she's back to being a good night sleeper. Her napping is still all over the place.
What is your favorite trait about your LO? Her smiles! And her easy-going personality.
What is something silly that your LO does? She bites at her papa's chest like she's trying to nurse and then laughs like crazy. She knows she's doing it, it's like she's trying to make a joke.
WOHM, WAHM, SAHM or on mat leave? WAHM part time for now.

Thanks for starting the new board.
Today we had two flights and Isaac did great! He pretty much slept through them all. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm sure the next couple nights of sleep will be horrible. It is almost 9 and he is wide awake.
LO's name: Isaac
Age: was 3 months last Friday
Weight & length: unsure as it has been almost a month, but probably close to 15lbs
Recent milestone: he found his knuckles and sucks up a storm.
Milestone I'm looking forward to: rolling. He is so close to going back to front.
How is feeding: he eats like a champ. We are EBF. Working on getting him to take a bottle wih still no luck.
How is sleep: some nights are better than others. Usually he is up 2-3 times. He has been going to bed way too late for my liking most nights. Even bough at 8 he will be sleepy, he will fight it for an hour or two.
Favorite trait: I love when he looks at me and smiles.
Something silly LO does: sometimes when he is falling asleep he flashes all these quick little smiles. It is like he is saying it is ok I'm not asleep yet, look how cute I am.
I am on mat leave until mid march next year. Then I will be WOHM.

@silver1: Thank you!! In celebration of turning 4 months, Xander slept through the night! Woohoo! Mama actually got almost 7 hours of sleep!!
Also, 4-5 hours of naps!! That's crazy-talk! I'm lucky if Xander gets in 2 hours of napping!!! What a good napper J is!
@Arden: Oh wow, I'm impressed V is rolling!! I kind of feel like Xander's behind the ball on this one since he still struggles with it, but I'm blaming it on his giant head. Good job, V!!!
@ALV91711: Glad to hear that Isaac did well on the flights!! Did you ever get him to bed? And I'm so jealous that you have maternity leave for a year! I want to live in Canada!

LO's name: Reagan
Age: 15 weeks (3.5months)
Weight: no clue. I tried the weighting her on our scale and it said that she only gained .5 lbs in a month, so that can't be right. But she still looks so thin to me.
Length: no clue
Recent milestones: Rolled on her side. Started grabbing toys when they are placed in front of her.
Milestone you're most looking forward to: Laughing, sitting up, and I REALLY can't wait for when she puts her arms up for me to pick her up.
How's feeding going: Good. She still struggles with bottles at day care some days, but does fine when DH gives her one at home.
How's sleep going: It was going good till this past week. We still have to hold her to get her to sleep. We are lucky if she gets an hour nap. Usually she does cat naps all day. She pretty much falls asleep as soon as she hits her car seat when I pick her up.
What is your favorite trait about your LO? Nothing beats her sweet, sweet smile. I also hearing her talk.
What is something silly that your LO does? Like will pop off when nursing and give me this smile, and then pop back on
WOHM, WAHM, SAHM or on mat leave? WOHM full time!

@Adira: DH said R was sucking her thumb the other day too. Usually she stuffs her whole hand in there. I am glad to hear that Xander is a bad napper like R. Yesterday her naps were all 20-30 mins. He slept all night? That is awesome! You didn't wake him up to feed at all?
@silver1: Wow! You have a great napper.
@Arden: Great job on rolling. Now I feel like we are behind!!
@ALV91711: Is he stuffing his whole hand in his mouth? R does that all the time, not sure why the knuckles taste so good!!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
R woke up at 1130 last night back down by midnight and slept till 5. I feel so much better today getting that 5 hour stretch. Still sick but I don't feel so cloudy today.
I tried not swaddling her arms last night and she wouldn't go to sleep. So I swaddled them and she went to bed. When she woke up at 5, she wanted them out, and then went back to bed. She looked so cute with her hands up by her head this morning when I had to wake her up.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: haha, okay, no, I woke him up at 9:00 to feed him. But THEN he slept from 10:00 to 5:00 (when I woke him again), so THAT was a change. He had been waking up between 4:00 and 4:30 the past couple weeks.
Glad to hear Xander's not the only bad napper. He had one good nap at daycare yesterday (1.5 hours I think) but his other names were like 10 minutes!! That's no nap!
What R sucks on her hand, does she make a loud slurping sound while she does it? That's how Xander was when he would suck on his knuckles. He's a lot quieter now that he sucks his thumb!
Glad to hear you finally got a decent stretch of sleep!!! Hopefully it continues and maybe you'll get even MORE than 5 hours soon!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@NaturallyCathy: Where is your update on E????
@Adira: Yes!! She sucks her so hard but hasn't been the last couple days, so I hoping she grew out of it. I saw R's sheet yesterday, and was like seriously, R, 10-15 mins isn't a nap! I hope she sleeps even longer tonight. I want her to back to sleeping good through out the night.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: She might also not be sleeping well at night BECAUSE she's not napping well. I think I heard that good napping = good night sleeping, though I don't know if that's necessarily true. Xander doesn't nap well but seems to sleep at night just fine. But all babies are different - maybe R needs some good naps in order to sleep well. Hopefully she'll start napping better at daycare soon.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: I do think that could be it and has been the case before. But the first week of DC she hardly napped at all and slept all night. I give up trying to figure her out!

LO's name: Kelsey
Age: 3 Months, 1 week
Weight: Probably close to 14lbs, she’s getting very chubby!
Length: No idea. Maybe 24 or 25 inches?
Recent milestones: In the past week she’s started sucking her thumb and growling at us when she’s tired and annoyed with something we’re doing. It’s pretty funny. She’s also grabbing and holding toys with more consistency.
Milestone you're most looking forward to: Her laughing.
How's feeding going: Now that she’s at daycare she’s about 50/50 breastmilk/formula. I still nurse her at least 5 times a day but my supply has always been very low.
How's sleep going: Sleep is good! We need to work on her putting herself to sleep, but she’s in her crib with no swaddle. She goes to bed around 8 and sleeps until around 2, then wakes up around 4 before I finally have to get her up around 6:30. (On Monday she slept from 8-4am, which was awesome!!!) Kelsey has always been a catnapper, and she doesn’t really sleep a lot at daycare (plus I don’t believe when the daycare tells me she sleeps 1 hour in the morning and 1.5 hours in the afternoon every day?!?!). So the second I get home to nurse her she passes out from exhaustion.
What is your favorite trait about your LO? Every one of her smiles makes my heart explode with happiness.
What is something silly that your LO does? She’s starting to screech, we call it her dolphin talk. It happens the most in the morning, but if I’m in another room I can make a high pitched noise and she’ll respond with one too.
WOHM, WAHM, SAHM or on mat leave? WOHM full time – and I’ve never been so disinterested in my job. People say it gets easier balancing work/baby/husband/home, but it’s been 3 weeks and there is no balance in sight!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@sheskrafty: Growling?? That sounds hysterical!!! And Xander does the same thing after daycare. As soon as I start nursing him, he passes out, haha. He's definitely not getting enough sleep there!
persimmon / 1165 posts
@adira: it is hysterical, except she seems a little young to be that sassy already?!? Hopefully Xander will learn to sleep more at daycare! That is the one thing I do like about daycare, that it will teach Kelsey to be more adaptable to her surroundings versus us constantly catering to her needs - at least I hope so!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@sheskrafty: haha, some girls start young! Look out for when she's a teenager!!!
pomegranate / 3452 posts
LO's name: Andy
Age: 12 weeks today
Weight: No idea. He feels like he's getting heavier but he's still pretty skinny.
Length: He must be getting longer since his clothes are getting shorter!
Recent milestones: Sticking things in his mouth and rolling over. He's got front to back pretty good, and is about 95% of the way front to back (he gets his arm stuck).
Milestone you're most looking forward to: Like a lot of you, I can't wait for him to reach out for me.
How's feeding going: He's a crazy efficient nurser. I think he averages 6 minutes each time, which completely empties the boob. He eats anywhere from 9-12 times per day.
How's sleep going: Night time sleep is pretty good, especially since he is getting better and better about falling asleep on his own. Daytime naps are hit or miss - usually about 30-45 minutes.
What is your favorite trait about your LO? He is such a happy boy. And very content to hang out with himself and play.
What is something silly that your LO does? When he's really happy he gives a huge grin and then turns his head away, sort of like he's shy. It's so funny.
WOHM, WAHM, SAHM or on mat leave? SAHM
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@sheskrafty: The one teacher calls R her diva. I am not thinking about teenage years if people are already calling her that R passes out in the car seat as soon as the car starts cause she doesn't nap good at DC at all. She still needs to be held to go to sleep and doesn't nap well unless held the whole time. Which the teachers can't do, but they are working with her. BTW, I love the name Kelsey. I would consider if we have another girl.
@aprk: R is outgrowing 0-3 in length but 3-6 are too big in the waist.
is everyone's baby rolling over but mine??
persimmon / 1165 posts
@smurfette: that is funny about R being called a "diva"! You are definitely in trouble!!
Kelsey is no where close to rolling over. She might get half way there but I don't foresee it happening anytime soon. I feel bad I can't give her all the tummy time she needs since the majority of the time I see her now I'm feeding her or she is sleeping.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@sheskrafty: I guess we need to put the peer pressure on our girls, and tell them all the cool kids are doing it.
Doesn't DC do tummy time with her? They usually do it at least once a day and write down the time for me.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: No! Xander's not rolling over AT ALL, and he's 4 months! He's rolled front to back a couple times, but he definitely can't do it consistently, and apparently when he did it last time, he did it solely by rocking back and forth and gaining momentum until he was able to roll! He doesn't use his arms to push up or help roll himself over, the big dummy. And he's never rolled back to front, those he's gotten on his side a couple times.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: I thought you said he did it over the weekend? R doesn't even roll at all to go tummy to back.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: He supposedly did it once (front to back), but I wasn't there to witness it. According to Hubs, he just rocked himself from side to side to do it. He hasn't repeated it though, so I think it might've been a fluke. Whenever I put him on his tummy, he lifts his head and legs up and then tries to whip his head to the side, hoping it'll make his whole body go that way, and when that doesn't work, he starts yelling. So I don't consider him being able to roll over.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: R lifts her head up too and tries to push off with her feet. Maybe she is trying to go to just crawling
When I heard R this morning, I looked at the monitor and all I saw was feet. She turned herself around again, completely swaddled. I have to get her out of it!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Is she okay being on her tummy? Xander hates it. He'll be fine for a couple minutes, but then the yelling starts!
hahaha, go R!! If she's like Xander, she's probably trying to roll, gets on her side, turns a little, goes back onto her back, rinse and repeat until she's all turned around.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: It depends on her mood. Most days, she can do at least 5 mins. She does better if we lay it front of her and talk to her.

Hi, I wasn't really posting on Hello Bee much during pregnancy but followed along! I hope you don't mind if I join! Here's my boy's stats:
LO's name: Lukas
Age: 15 weeks tomorrow
Weight: 15 lbs 10 ounces
Length: 26in. +? He's very long!
Recent milestones: Rolling from back to side and then side to tummy but hasn't put them together fluidly. He can grab things and hold them for a while. He likes to stand (supported of course).
Milestone you're most looking forward to: sitting!
How's feeding going: EBF going well but we are thinking he might have a milk protein allergy rather than the acid reflux we previously thought. So I am going off dairy as off yesterday.
How's sleep going: He usually sleeps 9-6 but occasionally gets up to eat at 4ish. Naps a lot during the day but isn't consistent in timing.
What is your favorite trait about your LO? His talking! He is a chatter!!!
What is something silly that your LO does? He shy smiles and turns away . Also has discover shrieking with joy and this cracks us up.
WOHM, WAHM, SAHM or on mat leave? Mat leave until August

@travellingbee: Welcome! We're a very social group, so try not to be intimidated by us.
I'm impressed your LO can ALMOST roll over. He's doing a lot better than Xander! Xander can get to his side, but has yet to go from his side to his tummy. His arms just get in his way. And I hope going off dairy works for you! I'm not sure I'd be able to do it if Xander had an allergy, so I'm thankful he doesn't!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@sheskrafty: How much does Kelsey eat during the day? I know @Adira: Xander eats 5oz bottles. I feel like R doesn't eat enough.
@travellingbee: Great, another one rolling and mine isn't! R loves to stand as well. If I sit her on the bobby on my lap after nursing she stretches her legs out so she will stand. I went off dairy for a couple weeks at first. It was really hard, but it turned out we have reflux. I started eating dairy again and she seems ok. It was hard and made me want to give up BF. I need my cheese and ice cream. So good for you for doing it!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: @travellingbee: Ugh, jealous of your standing babies. When I try to hold Xander up so that he puts weight on his legs, he just curls them up and refuses to use them! WTF!

TMI, but today is the one year anniversary of Vi's conception! Lol
It's also our second wedding anniversary.
Fun fact: She was born exactly nine months from the day she was conceived. June 26 - March 26. Punctual baby!

@NaturallyCathy: alrighty you know what... i am crashing this board even though i'm a feb mama! i'm a late feb mama, so it's close enough to march too right? hehe
LO's name: Jaren
Age: 4 Months (4 days ago on 6/22)
Weight: We had to push back his 4-month well check because he's sick and I didn't think it would be a good idea to get him vaccinated. I'll find out next week but I'm pretty sure he's at least a 20-pounder. He was 16 pounds at his last check.
Length: No clue!
Recent milestones: Sucking his fist. I think he's teething because he's drooling like crazy, not nursing well, and we're going through a 4-month sleep regression. Add sickness on top of that and it's not been fun in this household the last couple weeks!
Milestone you're most looking forward to: I'm looking forward to him being able to roll over both ways and also be able to sit up on his own! He can sit up supported, but he's super wobbly! <<< Everything @Adira wrote.
How's feeding going: EBF and going strong! We won't be introducing solids until 6 months either.
How's sleep going: Nights have been kinda rough because of the teething and sickness. We've been rocking him to sleep, and he'll usually go down by 8pm, but he's up again at 10-11pm, and once more in the MOTN around 3 am. It's hard not to compare him to my older daughter who was already sleep trained by his age. She never had to be rocked to sleep and would go down at 7pm on the dot every day... and sleep through until 4 am. I need to revise my expectations. His naps are ok - he usually takes about two 1-hour naps, and a longer 2-hour nap during the day, and sometimes he'll have a catnap towards the end of the day. Obviously we don't have a schedule in place!
What is your favorite trait about your LO? His smiles and he laughs/coos allll the time. Even in the middle of this cold and teething, he still manages to give me big grins all day long. It kills me! I also LOVE his chubs. He has so many rolls - cheeks, arms, legs, butt... nom nom nom.
What is something silly that your LO does? When I'm nursing him on the weekends during the day, he has a tendency to pull off the boob over and over just to grin at me! It's cute and frustrating at the same time! <<< @Adira - haha, do we have the same kid or something?? EXACTLY THIS.
WOHM, WAHM, SAHM or on mat leave? WOHM/WAHM Full time. I WFH 3x a week and am in the office 2x a week.

@Arden: Happy Anniversary and Conception Day! Too funny!
@Mrs. High Heels: I'm a late Feb Mama too, so if you're crashing, I am too! Although, in my defense, my due date WAS March 4th, so I'm just so used to being on the March boards! And it's sooooo nice to hear about another boy so close in age with Xander who ALSO isn't rolling yet! I feel soooo much better!

@Arden: haha! Mine was sometime this week too. I don't remember the exact date. Way to be on time V!
@Mrs. High Heels: Welcome! The more the merrier. Your house sounds like our house, minus the teething. At least I don't know if she is teething. She drools all the time. Goes through 3 or 4 bibs a day most days. But I don't feel anything
