@Arden: I wanted a March baby, but I'm kind of hoping he decides to make an early entrance! Especially because that would alleviate all my worries about the fact that he's a big chubster, haha.

At my midwife appointment my blood pressure was a little higher than usual. I'm also retaining lots of water. I gained 7 pounds since last week. So I'm taking some supplements and I'm told to relax. Also to keep checking my bp.

I'm slightly annoyed at myself for this even though I know its not really my fault. But I made it full term and I'm annoyed that NOW I'm having issues.

I'm sooooo ready to ne done!!!

@katiew92081: Don't feel bad - I don't have all the swelling that you've been experiencing and I was up 6 lbs this week from last!!!! Oooops! Sorry to hear your blood pressure is up though - that sucks. Hopefully you're able to relax and feel better!

@Arden: How is your swelling today?
@katiew92081: Sorry your BP and swelling is so bad. I am sure the swelling is the reason for the 7lbs. Just rest up! We have three weeks to go, we can do this!!!

@Smurfette: It's better then it was. I'm still swollen and it hurts a bit to walk, but it's WAY down from Saturday night. I at least look human again, although my legs/feet look like they are from a person at least 100 pounds bigger than I am.

@Smurfette: No Called this morning and apparently there was another hiccup between the two banks - our lending bank requires 3 days between signing to hand over the money; the selling bank requires the money in 24 hours. So we had to do a little creative thinking but we're closing Wednesday at 1:00 - if all goes according to plan.

I have my appointment tomorrow at 4:30, and I'm getting my results for my CBC and most importantly, my GBS swab.

I desperately want to hear that one was negative so I don't have to stress about being on an IV during labor. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

@smurfette: Good job taking over! I was thinking about her when I woke up in the middle of the night, too...I guess deep down we all already knew, lol.

    I wonder who is next!

  26. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@katiew92081: I don't know how she made the headers in bold. I can't figure that out.

I woke up every 1 1/2 to 2 hours last night, almost every time I thought I wonder how Adira's labor is going or if she is holding her sweet baby. It makes me so excited to meet our little girl. Although she can't come till late next week.

I am at work today. My legs are still sore. Having major hip and upper thigh pain, but I guess I am just going to have to deal with it she decides to come.

It was raining here all last night, DH texted me a picture this morning, our neighbors down the street had a huge tree fall in the middle of their house. I didn't see it since it was dark when I left the house. I hope they are ok. We haven't meet any neighbors yet but from seeing them, I know they have at least one child.

@smurfette: My pelvis feels like it's going to shatter, lol. I'm ready for this kid to come. Between the swelling, the slightly elevated blood pressure and all the aches and pains, I'm ready for this baby to come!

It's rainy all day here today. Cold, too, which makes for a miserable day. Luckily, my midwife prescribed me to take daily epsom salt baths to help my blood pressure, which sounds pretty fabulous, lol. I'm about to soak for a while. Hopefully it'll help some of this achy feeling.

@katiew92081: We are due a date apart but I just know that you are going to beat me to the delivery room. Hope your bath helps. I hate baths but maybe I should try it and see if it helps.

  29. Dandelion

    watermelon / 14206 posts

@smurfette: I saw your answer in another post about baths...I always shower off afterwards, so any scummyness you feel you just rinse off. It does help a lot with aches and pains.

@Adira: omg that was FAST!!!! CONGRATS!!! He is darling!!!! And yay for coming out around 8lbs! I know you were worried about the size before!

@Smurfette: thanks and good job with the updating! All our March early birds are boys so far! And they tell us boys are slower to develop... bahaha.... Not OUR March boys!!!

Can't wait for our continuing baby boom!

  34. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@shopaholic: I didn't even notice that they are all boys so far. Where are the girls? You need to start on that 20 times so K will get here!!

@NaturallyCathy: maybe that means you are having a girl?

  35. Mrs. Grizzly Bear

    GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts

@Adira: Congratulations, glad to hear you're both doing well He's beautiful and he listens to his momma already... "I wanted a March baby, but I'm kind of hoping he decides to make an early entrance! Especially because that would alleviate all my worries about the fact that he's a big chubster, haha."

    Wish granted!

@Smurfette: And somehow, I'm still here!

ETA: I have no idea. It's possible I'm having a girl. I'm thinking I'm having a girl but that's just pessimism. Can't get lucky twice in a row - figure this time my MIL and SIL will get their wish and get a LO to 'flounce up'.... ugh...

And that's the only reason I'm really dreading it, I will love her just as much.

  36. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@NaturallyCathy: I thought that I remembered you saying you really wanted another boy. Do you have any gut feeling?

I am SO excited. DH isn't going to have to travel now next week. No worrying about him missing anything. Which also means starting next week, evicting baby begins!

@smurfette: That's great! I would be thrilled, too. Now you can relax (as soon as your dh gets home from this trip!) and just let things happen.

@katiew92081: he actually is home this week. This week got pushed to next week and now he is switching projects, so no worry about traveling. At least that is today, who knows what tomorrow will bring. Consulting is a crap shoot, never know.

Just popping in to say hello and *big congratulations* to the three new mommas! I love seeing the photo updates- each March baby is already so stinkin' cute and precious! Wishing you all smooth recoveries and transitions into motherhood!

As for my little one, he is proving to be stubborn already! He won't move into the head down position and is still breach. If he hasn't moved by my Monday appointment, we will schedule a c-section for 39 weeks. Of course, there is always a chance he will flip at the last minute, but either way, I am trying to stay relaxed and flexible with the whole situation. As long as there is a happy baby at the end, I don't care how he gets here!

I can't wait to see who is the next baby to arrive!
