@Smurfette: Yay!!! Congrats on being Full Term!!! Now baby can come any day now!

@dojo: Oh congratulations! He's beautiful!
I did my photo shoot (I even went topless, which was terrifying) and I should get a couple sneak peek shots in a few days. I'm still scared until I see the results. It was fun though!

@Arden: I'm excited for you! I'd love to do something like that, but I'm just not nearly comfortable enough with my body to do it! You'll have to let us know how they came out and what your husband thinks of them!

@Adira: Nope, she needs to stay in for another week and half. DH doesn't have to travel this week but next week now. Not happy about it. Leave Mon afternoon and gets back Wed mid afternoon. Fingers crossed!!!!
But on the bright side, it is gorgeous here today. Wearing flip flops to show off my pedicure from yesterday!

I am very very swollen today. My left leg is so swollen I couldn't even walk on it. So, I have midwife orders to sit with my feet up and drink water for the next hour...lots and lots. And count kicks.
I went shopping with my MIL this morning and property exploring with dh this afternoon, so I'm thinking that may be the culprit. We'll see!

@katiew92081: Weird, my left one is way worse too. Both are incredibly swollen, but the left one hurts from it. I should take a photo, they look cartoonish.

@arden:
This picture doesn't do much justice, but I have lines from my flip flop straps and I can push on my ankles and it leaves an indent for about a minute.

@katiew92081: Ouch. Mine are even worse though, I think. Our poor feet...

Spent another evening at l&d...my leg got so swollen I couldn't walk on it and my blood pressure got pretty high. After my midwife had me chugging water for an hour, we decided I should go get checked out. Everything's fine, though, no pre-e. I'm home now, trying to relax.
I'm so glad I only have a few more weeks!

@katiew92081: Sorry to hear about your rough night. I'm glad you were able to go home though.
Checking in to say I'm still here. Guess the doc's loose prediction that it would be last week was wrong (and thus why he never gives a date...). Having some contractions still, on and off, but nothing tangible yet. Hope that the baby can wait until after tomorrow so that we can go sign for the house. Have to call the bank tomorrow to find out when and where the signing will take place - or if it will take place. Exciting and terrifying at the same time.

@Smurfette: Hey, I just got a pedi yesterday too! But it's been snowing here all day, so no flip flops for me.
@katiew92081: @Arden: Booo - bummer you ladies are so swollen!!! That's so annoying! Hope you feel better soon.
So Hubs' Mom came over today despite the snow!!! She cleaned soooooo much of our house AND she made us dinner, haha. It was awesome! Living room, kitchen, bathrooms are sparkling! So happy right now! While she did all that, I FINALLY finished the nursery!
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@Adira: Super adorable! Love the books, blocks, pull toy, everything. It's great I'm hoping we can close on the house tomorrow as planned so that I can set my MIL to work. It'll keep her out of my hair and make her feel useful.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@NaturallyCathy: Oooh, good luck with your closing!!! I hope all goes according to plan!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@katiew92081: Glad that you and baby are ok!! Rest up tomorrow as well.
@Arden: You rest up too!!
@NaturallyCathy: Sorry no baby yet, but on the plus side, that just means you can close tomorrow! Hard to do from the hospital. Good Luck! Can't wait to hear you have the keys in your hands.
@Adira: So jealous your MIL came and cleaned for you. I am going to be cleaning this week. At least the house was deep cleaned before we moved in. So it is just every day cleaning I need to do. I got the hardwoods done today.
I love the nursery!! It looks so great!!!!!
I was going to take pictures of ours, but we don't have anything on the walls yet. I ordered some prints last night on etsy, I should get them this week. So next weekend, DH and I are going to get the pictures hung and then I think we will be done. He replaced the ceiling fan tonight and we got the rug laid out.

@Adira - Love your nursery pics! We have elephants and safari animals in ours as well! Is the bedding pbk? I think we have the same sheet/crib skirt!

So much activity on this board - just going to catch up from this page...
@Arden: I bet you will cherish those maternity boudoir pics! FX'd you get to see some soon!
@Smurfette: Yay for being full term!
@Smurfette: & @Adira: Ah! Jealous you got a pedi! I was going to go on Friday but my GF wanted to go with me, then got stuck at work late. I'm hoping to go this week!
@katiew92081: Ouch! That kind of swelling is called edema right? Hopefully some elevation and rest will help it go down.
@NaturallyCathy: Baby is probably being good and waiting for you to finish all your house stuff!
@Adira: Wow! That's SO nice of your MIL! And the nursery looks AWESOME! The space looks pretty big and I like the pop of teal stripe against the grey walls! The paintings and the name sign are such great sentimental touches! Love the elephants too!
As for me: I've been feeling extremely uncomfortable the past few days. Aches, sharp and shooting pains, sciatica, and cramps. Every weird twinge I wonder if it's a contraction. They've been nothing like the BHs I've had for so long, but not consistent all around like I read a contraction to be. Well, we went to a hockey game tonight and on the ride back home I had what was FOR SURE a REAL contraction! I mean, it was all-around the entire belly, top to bottom, side to side, for probably almost a minute! DH has been thinking I've been having contractions all weekend, but I told him this was the first one I knew for sure was a contraction. He was like "should I drive you to the hospital now?!" lol! I told him some women get these like a month before they deliver!
No sign of mucous plug or anything though...so IDK how much longer I'll have to wait. Tonight was also the first time I needed DH to help me put on socks. My tummy has been just rock hard all the time, I couldn't even bend over to put them on! I'm hoping for flip-flop weather this week!
We assembled OUR bed finally (it's been sitting in the box for a month!), hung the nursery curtain rod/curtains, and a few other DIY projects. I hope to get around to finishing setting up a few more things and then take some pics to share this week.

@shopaholic: a real contraction is sort if exciting!! provided you don't have them for a month, lol. I've been feeling icky and crampy, too, but nothing close to anything productive yet.

@shopaholic: Whoo hoo for real contractions! I hope they amp up soon for you!

Full term today! I'm so happy to have made it, but I'm sooo ready for her to GET OUT! For being an uncomplicated pregnancy, it sure has been annoying. I'm definitely solid on this being the last kid out of me.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@katiew92081: woo hoo!! How is your swelling??
@shopaholic: glad you had a productive weekend!! Sorry you aren't feeing good, but a contraction is progress!
I stayed home from work today. I think I over did it yesterday and my entire body just hurts, aches and pains. I hardly slept at all too. DH was up cause of me too. Luckily he is just working from home, so I don't feel as bad. I am sure everyone at work is going to wonder I am in labor. But I did tell my boss when I emailed him. Going to lay on the couch and work on thank you notes for work today. Hopefully some swelling will go down too.
watermelon / 14206 posts
@smurfette: I'm still swelly, but I peed a LOT of it out last night. I'm spending the morning with my feet up, drinking water. I have my midwife appointment at noon, and from there I need to pick up ds from school and go grocery shopping. I'm pretty sure the shopping will swell me back up, but I'm gonna drink the water to get prepared for it.
Are you planning on working all the way up until birth?
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
@adira, that looks FANTASTIC! I love love love that bold stripe!!!!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@katiew92081: Glad that you are resting this morning. Yes, I am going to work up until labor. I don't want to be home a week pregnant and lose a week of my 12 with her. My boss told me that I can work from home some days if I need too. I didn't bring my laptop home other I would have worked from home today. But I don't have a ton going on right now anyway, so I am ok with taking a day to do nothing. Esp since the weekends aren't allowing me to do that.
watermelon / 14206 posts
@smurfette: That's good that work is slow enough that you can do that right now. I would want a day to relax, too, at this point. My weekends are hectic, with dh running us around looking at houses and lots, lol. Mondays are my days to recuperate from the weekends, lol.
DH's work is SUPER busy these past few weeks. He's looking forward to a few days off when LO is born, but at the same time he knows his department is going to be a mess to come back to afterwards. He says he's just gonna not think about it when he's home with us, lol.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Yeah, I feel sooooo thankful that Hubs' Mom came and cleaned! She did such an awesome job!!!
And I know what you mean about the nursery. Ours has really been done for a while, it's just taken me WEEKS to finally hang up the paintings and stuff! And I have other pictures that I was just too lazy to put up!
@dojo: Yes!!! The bedding is PBK!! I LOVE it!!!!
@shopaholic: I'm jealous you've felt a REAL contraction!!! I don't think I have, although I have no idea. The BH (if that's what they are) that I've been experiencing this morning have been funky and kind of come and go. But I definitely don't feel like the whole belly tightening or anything - it's more this tightening around my lower stomach and kind of goes from the back to the front (like pressure in my bowels and then in the front) and then it subsides. It's uncomfortable, but not sure it's a contraction or anything.
And I can't wait to see your nursery pics!!!
@katiew92081: Yay for Full Term!!! I'm impressed you're still pregnant, haha. Any day now!
@Smurfette: I'm jealous you stayed home from work today. I wish that I had done that. I've been feeling crampy and uncomfortable since I woke up. Plus I must've slept wrong because my hips are KILLING me. I hope you're able to have a relaxing day and feel better!
By the way ladies, my husband is an IDIOT. I told him last week that he needed to stop carpooling THIS week and he said that his carpoolers were on vacation, so that worked out well. And then this morning I find out his carpoolers aren't on vacation until WEDNESDAY so he's carpooling today! So I guess I'm hoping I don't go into labor QUITE yet, though I'm ready for this pregnancy to be over, haha.

@Adira: Well at least your DH is still is local. I think mine is an idiot for going to NYC next week.
watermelon / 14206 posts
@smurfette: I would 100% cry if dh told me he had to travel in the next couple weeks.
@adira: Don't go into labor today! lol Sometimes men just don't think!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: GOOD point!!!! How long is he supposed to be gone?? Hopefully you don't go into labor before he gets back!
@katiew92081: haha, seriously! I'm kind of hoping I go into labor soon (I'm sooooooo uncomfortable), but preferably not until the evening.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
I'm wondering if NOW I'm seeing bloody show, haha. All morning I've had extra mucus tinged with pink blood. It's not a lot of blood, but I've seen it every time I've gone to the bathroom (like four times already). Anyone have any clues?
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Adira: He leaves next Monday afternoon and will be back Wed late afternoon. Makes me so nervous. But luckily there is a flight to ATL from NYC every hour..

I'm REALLY hating my cat right now. She threw up on dh's down comforter! I've had to wash it in the tub, and now I'm letting it dry on the bathroom floor. Of course, our dryer went out this weekend, and we're not getting a new one til next weekend, so her timing is incredible! I'm having to keep adjusting it, so that the feathers don't clump and all the area of the blanket gets dried. And, it's SO heavy when it's wet! I'm really hoping I don't make it worse!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@katiew92081: @Smurfette: Eeeek, I hope this is a good sign!!
@Smurfette: Men!!! Luckily you're not due for a few more weeks, so I'm sure it will be fine!
@katiew92081: Ugh, down anything is hard to wash because of the feathers!! I hope you're able to get it clean/dry without it being lumpy! Cats have no respect!
GOLD / grapefruit / 4555 posts
@Adira: Remember how you always thought I would be one of the first to go? I find it funny that of the two of us, you're having more labor signs than I am at the moment Hopefully this is sign of good news will follow soon.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@NaturallyCathy: Hopefully both our babies are just being super cooperative!!! You need yours to wait until you close on the house, and I've officially READY (and would like him to come early so he's not a giant baby), so mine can come anytime now!
watermelon / 14206 posts
@adira: I told dh that at least if it were a dog, it would just tear it up, and I could toss it and grumble about wasting money and sweeping feathers. But, NOW I have to WASH it, which is WAY more of a chore than I wanted to do today!
You're right...no respect! lol

@Adira: Your nursery is so cute! I'm so glad you got it done since I'm convinced your baby is coming soon....
@katiew92081: Yay for full term! I'm full term on Wednesday.
@Smurfette: I'm so sorry about your husband being gone, that would stress me out so much! I hope he gets back in time and that you aren't too freaked out while he's gone!
