@bhbee: yay, congrats on your little man! I'm bummed about not being able to reuse most cloths too though. We should swap

@bhbee: Yay for another boy! Congrats!
@oliviaoblivia: Your daughter's name is so pretty, and I love Camila, maybe he will come around. Other Spanish names I've heard recently and liked are Mariana, Emilia, Carolina, and Lupe/Guadalupe

@MrsTiger: I actually suggested Amelia, Marina, and Carolina this weekend! At least you get me if DH doesn't!

@bhbee: Yay a boy!
I really hope for a girl to have one of each but I'm getting the feeling it's going to be a boy and I'm glad there are more boys showing up! Hehe.

thanks everyone! my only regret is that I have zero cute shots from either ultrasound. they are just into diagnostics and don't try for a nice photo. I have to go back in a month for a better look at the heart, and I think I might have to ask for a profile shot. that head-on shot is just scary. I basically have that and his package in the printed photos!
@Pumuckl: my brother and SIL are having a February baby and I hope it's a girl so I can share with them!

So it's been a while since I've updated. It's hard to keep up with you ladies! Anyway, I'm SO excited because this morning DH felt the baby kick from the outside! He said it felt like a big muscle twitch. It was so cool! I haven't had that many big, strong kicks, but I'm so glad he could feel one!
I'm also getting super excited about my anatomy scan on Thursday! I can't wait!!

@MrsHansen82: that's so cool that your DH could feel it from the outside. My DH keeps trying and he thinks he felt something but he's not sure. I can't wait till its more obvious for him

@bhbee: Congrats on your boy!
@MrsHansen82: I've been having DH feel kicks all weekend. He felt the first on Friday and it was awesome! So happy for you!
@mfa_lady: Congrats on your girl!
Yesterday, we decided to go to a baby expo but I'm happy with the pediatricians who gave the talk we sat in on! I think we might go with them (I know, I'm thinking far) but I loved how they chatted about their care plan after the baby was born and they were both so knowledgeable. We had a great time.
grapefruit / 4731 posts
@namaste: When I had LO the pediatrician thing totally slipped my mind! When he was born a doctor came in to our recovery room and asked if we picked one. DH and I looked at each other and said no. Then were handed a list of pediatricians at the practice that had opening for new patients. Lucky the head of pediatrics was on the list and we picked him. Haha. And that's how we picked out pediatrician.
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@namaste: Really, it is never too early to look for pediatricians So you should be good!
@MrsHansen82: I'm really looking forward to the point when the kicks get so pronounced that DH can feel them (and he is too ).
How's everyone else doing? I'm mostly fine these days except for that weird muffled hearing during the day. But oh well, just 5 more months and it's gone
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@Pumuckl: I'm doing pretty well. Still getting SUPER tired throughout the day--I get absolutely nothing done in the afternoons, which is pretty unfortunate. Funny you mention the hearing, too--I feel like my eyesight is worse!
I also felt huge yesterday. I took a picture of myself and I didn't LOOK huge, but I just felt really bloated and uncomfortable. A sign of things to come, I'm sure!
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@mfa_lady: I hear you on the tiredness. It has gotten better for me though. Not good but better. It is very common for the eyesight to get worse during pregnancy (I think it was Mrs. Wagon who also did a post on that for the blog - but I'm not sure). Unfortunately things will not really get more comfortable with the progress of pregnancy no... But the price in the end is SOOOOO worth it!

@MrsHansen82: that's awesome about DH feeling the kicks! with LO#1 my DH couldn't feel anything until 28 weeks or something. I'm afraid with an anterior placenta this time won't be any better.
nectarine / 2079 posts
I finally felt a good solid kick yesterday! I was laying on my stomach next to DD when it happened so now I've been pushing on my stomach to see if I can get any more (but of course they happen when I don't expect them). Appointment yesterday went well, nothing exciting.
I remember the awesome kicks my husband was able to feel when I was around 24 weeks last time..before that it was hard for him to catch them.
pomegranate / 3921 posts
@Radish: Yay! So glad.
My husband felt his first one the day of our ultrasound last week. After being completely balled up and uncooperative during the US, as soon as we got home she started kicking the you-know-what out of me. I called him in to see if he could feel her, and when she kicked where his hand was he pulled it away and his eyes got huge and he said "WHAT WAS THAT?!" I was like, "Um, that's what you were feeling for, honey." Haha. He was totally weirded out but has been much more excited about feeling her since then.

@MrsHansen82: @namaste: @mfa_lady: so great that your DH's got to feel the baby kick!
@Radish: hooray for a good kick!
I'm still feeling more rolling type movements than actual kicks. But when I'm laying down, sometimes I can feel exactly where the baby is just by feeling on my stomach. The other day baby was all up on one side by my belly button and DH said it looked like a big lump
7 days till my ultrasound! Can't wait to see the little guy again and find out what we're having.

@charmed: So exciting, I read guy and was thinking you found out, but one week isn't too far out!

@Radish: Thanks for checking-in! I apologize for being so quiet. I usually read hellobee while I'm on break at work so sometimes I don't have time to reply!
Baby is doing well and I think I started to feel some tiny movement. I am almost 17 weeks and I have an appointment tomorrow too. I had my glucose fasting test results and unfortunately they were somewhat elevated so I am going to have to do the 3-hour glucose test. I had GD with my last pregnancy so I wouldn't be surprised if I have it again. We have our anatomy scan at the beginning of September so I am super excited about that. We're team green so hopefully there will be no slip-ups from the ultrasound tech about our baby's gender.
Glad to hear that you ladies are doing well. I'll try to keep up more with replying this time around.

@jojepie: Sorry about the GD testing, I hope you pass the 3 hour! Our team green list is growing! Hope the anatomy scan goes well... September is so close yet so far, huh?

@Radish: haha, lately I keep referring to the baby using male pronouns- no idea why, since if I had to guess I'd say it's a girl!
nectarine / 2079 posts
@charmed: I have been picturing a girl for weeks and then just today when I was thinking about the nursery I was picturing a boys room. I could never be team green and go through the he/she thoughts for 20 more weeks.

@Radish: YAY! How fun for you! Baby movements have taken over my life, which is terrible.

AFM, I'm just excited to get a glimpse of this LO. This will be my first ultrasound, isn't that crazy? I feel like everyone else has had one already.

@keepcalmcarrie: Ahhh, have fun today! Hope all is well with your little bean.
How's everyone else. Things here a good on the pregnancy end - my energy is slowly coming back which is SOOO nice. It makes me a better mom as well. I think I was a rather crappy mom in the last 3months or so
Lil lady is no regularly dancing/bouncing up a storm in my belly which is also nice and comforting (and distracting at work ).

@keepcalmcarrie: So exciting. Nothing makes it as real as seeing the little one that is inside of you.

@keepcalmcarrie: good luck for today
I've been feeling regular movement this week and it is just the best thing ever, I could totally just lie still all day feeling for it (obviously baby has a tendency to stay still as soon as I'm waiting for it to move)
Has anyone started on the nursery yet? We have stripped the old wall paper off and the new wallpaper arrived today, it is gorgeous! Can not wait to put it up!
persimmon / 1096 posts
@Pumuckl: @Cupcake: @Radish: Thanks!
Baby is looking perfect, kicking and rolling and even face-palming during the scan. If I'm being totally honest, I think I spotted a little certain something and I'm pretty sure we're having another little boy (!!!) but keep me Team Green because nothing was confirmed and I'm never really sure what I'm seeing on the screen. But while she was getting a shot of the spine, the baby had *its* little feet crossed and tucked up under *its* bum, and I'm thinking there was something else there too
The tech was really nice and we got some great pictures. Very fun appointment and nice to finally see my little bugger.
@Cupcake: Can't wait for later this afternoon to hear!
And also, here is the face-palm. Baby thinks mama is crazy already.

@keepcalmcarrie: Haha, team green you shall stay. So awesome your appointment went so well! Love the face-palm! Making me get excited for mine which is still 3 weeks away.
persimmon / 1177 posts
@keepcalmcarrie: glad it went well, and you got to see your little one!
@Cupcake: good luck at your appointment today!
@Snowdrop: We haven't started on the nursery yet, but only because I'm currently using that bedroom as my office. I'm hoping to get my office moved next month, then it will be go time for the nursery!
nectarine / 2079 posts
@Snowdrop: Glad you are having movements now as well! I can't start on the nursery until we move..it is killing me. I need a project.
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@Cupcake: ah good luck later!
@keepcalmcarrie: hahaha, love the pic. I'm trying to teach B how to face palm right now, so your LO is definitely ahead
