@peaches1038: Thinking of you today! Can't wait to hear!!
@FannyMae: It's so real now! My parents brought over the crib they got us the other night and the nursery is pretty much done, except for decorating. CRAZY!!

Had my anatomy scan this morning and baby is looking great! Brain, heart, kidneys, arteries all looked great and baby weighs 11 oz. Our tech was super awesome about warning us when they took a look at the gender!

@Miss Sarah: Dang girl - cant wait to see pictures! We wont get our furniture til LABOR DAY. Grrrrrr. That's how long the store said it would be! But we are at least clearing the room out this weekend. So, we will have an empty room with a closet full of tiny baby clothes. Ha. Any name ideas yet (if you're sharing)?

@clover: @wrkbrk: @Miss Sarah: thanks everyone!!!
We had our scan this afternoon and we have a healthy and happy baby BOY!!! We both thought it was a girl, so we are shocked but very happy!! Weighing in at 1.1 pounds and measuring exactly on track! We didn't get very good photos though, but here's the best one, looking right at the camera

@wrkbrk: So names...I am really striving to use Lindsey as a middle name in honor of a childhood friend that passed away in high school. So our current contenders are Anne/Anna Lindsey, Claire Lindsey, or Lillian Lindsey (call her Lilly). Pretty basic names...my DH prefers classic names over trendy ones.
@peaches1038: Congrats!!
@Hoots: Congrats on your healthy little babe!

You guys can cast your name votes on the board I started for my baby girl.

It's been a hard week for loss on the boards. Hoping those mamas find peace...
Does it make anyone else feel a little nervous?
persimmon / 1461 posts
@sometimesshesings: I was just thinking the same thing Really feel for the poor mums and families, and at the same time its the realisation that it could so easily happen to anyone. Not good for anxiety, I definitely feel like I should be paying attention to movement etc even though its still really early.
I have my anatomy scan tomorrow, hoping everything is A-OK in there.

@EBSC: What a beautiful little boy!
@FannyMae: Thinking of you today!
@sometimesshesings: I have not seen these...but I do get nervous when I don't feel her move as much. I have my 22-week OB appt. today, so I'll get some reassurance again to hopefully hold me over to the next appt.

@EBSC: Congrats on the little boy!!! Another cute ultrasound picture!! I'm so sad I didn't get a sweet profile. Glad everything is looking good!!
@FannyMae: good luck at your scan today!
@Miss Sarah: enjoy your appointment! I have one tomorrow and I can't wait.
@sometimesshesings: so so sad.
For all the mamas who have had their scans: is anyone's baby breech? Mine is at 22 weeks. I know there is plenty of time to flip but it still makes me a little nervous!

Baby girl's heart rate was 151 today! Doc said everything looked good. We are getting scheduled for a fetal echo due to a heart condition DH has, otherwise, my next ob appt. is in 4 weeks, at 26-weeks!
Side note: This little lady was kicking or punching hard today and DH could actually feel it for the first time!! It was special, but of course, the first thing he said was, "that's weird." Lol...which it is, so I get it.

Thanks ladies, all went well on the scan today! babe was kicking about, took about 45 minutes to get the scan done and had to go pee near the end so he could get a clearer view of the heart. I got a 3d scan thingie as well, though I think baby moved while he took it so it looks all blurry (at one point he took a photo of a very cross looking baby!)

@FannyMae: oh my goodness, so sorry! You actually didn't mention the sex in your post so I have no idea why I had boy in my head....because I know your having a girl! So...yay for beautiful baby girl, and more importantly, yay for healthy babe!

When's everyone taking their glucose test? My midwife gave me the order on Thursday and said I could do it between 24-26 weeks. Just curious if there is a "best" time.
kiwi / 557 posts
@peaches1038: Not sure if there is a best time. They just gave me the drink and instructions at my 22 week appointment, it says to do it between 26-28 weeks. I'll likely do it before my next appointment to get it out of the way, so I'll be 26 weeks.
