We are doing a cape cod nautical theme!

I've done nothing. Nothing. They are sharing a room, so I need to get H's mattress before we can set up the big girl bed. I also want to paint, but I don't actually see that happening.

I've also done nothing, unless you count buying another crib. (E sleeps so well in her crib, so I chickened out on the big girl bed transition.)
E will move into our third bedroom and the baby will take over her nursery (because it's right across from our room and we don't have space for a bassinet or PNP in our room), so we do have a bit of work/transitioning to do. Yikes.

@mfa_lady: I bought a big girl bed. A is getting everything from the crib (I might buy a new sheet) and I am going to make her her own quilt similar to H's quilt. I also need to do curtains for their room and if I'm not going to paint, I at least need to patch some spots that are just drywall putty.

@avivoca: I hear you. All of E's stuff will move to her new room, including art and rug and etc. But, since we're TG, all I really need to do is paint (likely the same dark gray we have in E's room) E's NEW room and pick out some stuff i like that I could buy after baby comes. Ha. We don't need a bunch more furniture so it'll just be prettying things up once the baby get here. I'm optimistic, I know, but I'm hoping that will be some fun online shopping during maternity leave. Ha!

Mine is 90% done. I don't like posting pictures on here or I would share. It's not really themed, just cute and girly. Colors are mainly shades of purple, light blue/aqua and light pink.

We will be moving before we can even buy anything ... Which terrifies me because our move date will likely show up AFTER the baby is born...
I'm undecided on a second crib vs moving LO1 to a bigger bed.

@YouGotMe: that sounds stressful. we moved DD2 (16 months) 2 weeks ago to the big girl bed and haven't had an issue with her being in it. The room sharing is a bit trickier, but we would be dealing with that with or without the bed transition.

@mfa_lady: Yep I'm keeping G in her room in crib, so we are buying a new one!!

Fun! I wish I had pictures, but nothing is purchased, painted or assembled yet.
We might be moving too, but I know I'd like to paint the walls pale gray (maybe with a hint of blue) and the crib will this one in white, plus a white ikea dresser that will double as a changing table. I'll probably look for navy and white black-out curtains. This blog post is the closest inspiration I've found (minus the yellow) http://www.twotwentyone.net/owens-bright-and-colorful-nursery/
Simple gray, white and shades of blue was going to be the nursery color palette whether we had a boy or a girl. I wanted a space that would be soothing for me, even when the baby isn't! I wish I was crafty enough to make a quilt, but I'll be happy if we can get the house and paint by October

@FaithFertility: Adorable! I used to live on Cape Cod. That's a really fun idea for a nursery!

@YouGotMe: DD's crib will be her big girl bed, so we definitely are getting a new crib for #2
I say if LO is happy and sleeping well don't fix it

Not for DS but scored this big mirror and wall decor for DD's room I'm excited to add it to her room!

I've painted our spare bedroom (green, it used to be pale blue), but I love painting and will happily grab at any excuse to repaint. So far, that's it!

@whiskers: it's pretty stressful but I try not to think about it. I really have everything I need right away already (clothes and car seat) and I can wing everything else I hope. And we won't physically have to pack or move anything ourselves but it sucks that the timing didn't work out sooner

Haven't done much BUT I have sorted all of G's old baby toys and what-not, and it's nice to see things coming together!

Progress on our shared room. Please ignore the toy explosion, I still need to get our closet situation worked out and move A's clothes/diapers to her dresser drawers. I'm planning to get under bed storage boxes for their sheets/blankets. I also have a mattress sitting in my living room. I'm waiting for H to wake up so I can put it on the bed and pile her bedding up there until next weekend.
ETA: I also need to find a new place to plug in a night light because ALLof the outlets in this room are covered by furniture now.

@avivoca: Wow, you are having a productive day! Love the before and after shot. Congrats on all of the progress! Is that the crib to the left? I love how it seems to match H's new bed. Is H getting excited for her new roommate? Will A sleep in the crib on day one or do you have a RnP / bassinet for your room?
AFM, the crib arrived and the reupholstered rocker is ready to be picked up....Soon I can start sharing some nursery photos! Today DH called it the baby's room for the first time...which made me very happy. First Time Dads are there own special subculture.

@Amorini: Yes, it is! It used to be where the nightlight is (there is a wreath above that hung over the center of the crib). I lucked in to the Jenny Lind Twin on Craigslist a few months ago. A will sleep in our room in the PNP (or cosleep) at first and then she will move in to the room with H.

@whiskers: Thanks! I can't wait until I get the closet done and I have a home for all of the misplaced toys in my bedroom/hallway.

Wow, I'm impressed with all of the progress on here! We have been focused on ordering DS furniture so all of his original nursery stuff can be moved into the baby's room. The first furniture delivery is scheduled to happen on Saturday so I should start making progress soon!

Hubby reassembled Georgia's old cot over the weekend.... omgosh!

I built our closet shelves this weekend! I'm working on filling them in as I write this and am putting all our NB/0-3/3-6 month clothes in the drawers.
ETA: added photo of the closet.

@avivoca: I'm popping in to say that I love your matching jenny lind crib and toddler bed! I really wanted to go with a jenny lind crib just in case we have a second quick and they end up sharing a room. The matching combo is adorable!!!

@agold: Thanks! I stalked Craigslist looking for a twin (I couldn't bear to pay $499 for one from Land of Nod) and got lucky.

Anyone making any nursery progress? I'm hoping we'll make good progress this weekend and I'll have some pics to post We have the dresser and nightstand put together, the crib arrived yesterday and I picked up our glider today (after returning the world's most uncomfortable glider that I originally ordered ). Now we just need to get the queen bed that is currently in there out and the crib and glider in!
I also need to get some artwork...anyone have experience buying digital files off etsy and printing them at Staples/Costco? I can't seem to find info on printing costs and I don't want spend a ton on printing if it would be cheaper to just buy physical prints.
Anyways, enough rambling! Let's see some pictures if you have them!

Finally got the nursery pretty much done! We still need a crib mattress, but he'll be in our room at first anyways.
