@KaitlynB: I am right there with you. Honestly when I read your post I thought- did I write a late night post that I forgot about...?
I am 16 and 2 days and unless I ate a big meal or put on tight pants I have no bump at all. As nice as it is I am surrounded by people who are not as far along who are already showing...it naturally makes you wonder if your baby is growing ok.
Ahh....pregnancy paranoia comes in so many ways- too big or too small.

@kjpugs: Just for your info, Unisom + B6 works great for nausea. Doctor's try that a lot to avoid Zofran. It worked for me! (Just make sure it's the plain Unisom Sleep tabs and not the gels or melts) - Just in case you get in a bind!
@corilyns: I am doing an 8 week series on my blog about all things pregnancy (pre-birth and post-birth). I give moms the chance to link up and share all the info they have. It's on Fridays. I'm updating to add in my next appointment next week. The Dr. said that if the baby cooperates, we should be able to find out the gender. Fingers crossed!

Are any of you starting to worry there will be something wrong with the baby? As we get closer to our anatomy scan and I get more attached to this baby, I am starting to freak out that we will find out bad news and be heartbroken. We decided against first trimester screening but now I am kind of kicking myself. I so ready to know that everything is okay in there! I'm going to ask to do our U/S at 18 weeks - ASAP.
Hopefully I am not the only one feeling like this and we will all be worrying for nothing!

@knockedup_nowwhat: we had a 12 week NT testing u/s, but I still have the same fears. It did help to have that and have them tell us everything looked great, but we have to wait until my May appt blood tests (they want 2 sets to confirm it wasn't a fluke) before giving the results from the blood/urine. So still, worries! And worry that there are things they didn't see in the 12 week scan. I think everyone has those worries though!
And I hope you can get in at 18 weeks... my doc wouldn't see me a day before 20 weeks
(ETA- I mean for the anatomy scan, duh we went in for other stuff earlier than 20 weeks haha)

@kjpugs: At least you have that first, reassuring indicator. I wish we had done the NT now, but at the time I was still wrapping my head around the pregnancy and I knew false positives would just cause more stress.
I will throw a fit if they make us wait until 20 weeks, because at that point DH will be in another city for work for 6 weeks! I am totally going to use that as a way to get us in early.

@knockedup_nowwhat: I freak out daily, especially since I feel like I haven't been taking care of myself that well with being sick. We opted out of the first tri screenings as well but I am going in today for the quad screening where they will check for the markers. Today's the blood draw and in two weeks they will do the NT scan. I'm just crossing my fingers everything will be ok.

@knockedup_nowwhat: I know it's tough not to worry, but please try. Just trust that everything will be fine and if it isn't, (god forbid) you and DH will have the strength to move forward and handle it. I get it. I'm a total worry wart. But I try to calm myself down because my Mom scared me into thinking I'd pass my anxiety onto the Little Bear. So just breathe and believe! And when you start to worry, have a little list of things you should be doing instead of worrying.

@knockedup_nowwhat: Please try not to worry! My midwife was willing to do our anatomy scan at 19 weeks because my husband will be traveling for work May 15-August 15, so we are scooting right under the deadline. I think they are more willing to work with you if something like travel is happening.

@knockedup_nowwhat: Our u/s guy let me schedule mine at 18w4d because I really really want to tell my students before school lets out the first week of June. I think they are very accomodating. He did say they prefer 20 weeks because things are more developed and it's a clearer view. I bet they will understand that your DH is traveling and schedule around that. Why don't you call and schedule it now for reassurance?

So by complete accident yesterday, as my mom was scanning me trying to find the gender for our reveal party, the LO revealed a bit too much. Apparently, it didn't want me to be surprised in front of the family. Needless to say, we're having a boy! My mom wants to scan again next week, just to be 100% sure, as things can look very similar at this point in gender development, but it was pretty plain as day.
My husband is pretty disappointed I ruined the surprise, although very excited by the news. And the fact that he could clearly see the little boy bits on the picture without me having to help him.
I think we're still going to have the party to reveal to the rest of the family. Oh well, there's always next time (god willing)!

@kjpugs: Yep, that was the plan. I'm not sure what we're going to do anymore. We were going to have my mom dress the dog up in either a little boy outfit or a little girl outfit.
I'm 15 weeks 4 days, which is right on point to where I'm measuring (although the head is measuring two days larger).

@ChefAimee: maybe you could do cupcakes with blue inside and pass them out to the guests and have them all bite at once!? And then still do the dog bc that's hilarious. And have guests wear blue or pink depending on their guess! Then you guys both wear white or yellow/green or something since you know

I'm 14w4d and feeling really crampy. I know it's just my uterus stretching but it is not a good feeling.
I want to take a Tylenol but I am kind of worried about covering up any symptoms I should pay attention to?By the way, thank you everyone for your reassurance after my worry wart post. I know it's normal to worry and I try to just relax but it is still tough! Good to know I'm not the only one.

@Jennimac: Haha, trust me, having two identities is very tiresome. We are 98% "out" by now - I have to tell one more person at work on Monday. I thought I would "come out" on Facebook before here, just in case there is overlap. However, now we are thinking of waiting to post anything on Facebook until after our anatomy scan... so maybe I will just blow my cover on Monday

Nothing much new here. Had my NT scan last week, so hoping to hear good news (or not hear bad news, as is often the case) soon. Kiddo was very uncooperative during the U/S, which made for a lot of painful prodding with the wand.
I am 14w tomorrow ... nausea has eased up a bit, but it's definitely not gone completely. I threw up this morning after walking into the kitchen and seeing random crumbs on a plate from DH's breakfast. On an empty stomach, all bets are off...

@Mrs. Yoyo: I agree, nausea is bad still for me, and IBS style pain (I'll post to the group in a bit.) And my babe was the same during our NT testing scan, we went from transvag to regular to transvag again, and she basically manhandled me! Stubborn baby was doing a headstand... yikes!

Anyone else with IBS style symptoms?
I asked my doctor about it and that's what she said... I get intense pain like I have to poo, like you would get if you had a stomach bug and diarrhea. 9 out of 10 times I don't poop though which I blame on the zofran constipating me. But man those pains are just the worst! Always fun to have to run to the bathroom
