    @kjpugs: Man, I bet that is awful. I hope that this summer is much less humid than normal. Heat doesn't seem so bad when the humidity is low, but once it's swampy outside, it's miserable.

    Also, if the humidity could back off, that would be perfectly lovely. It was positively soupy this morning when I walked the dog.

    I'm sorry for everyone suffering through the heat. Ohio had one really bad week in May (90s) and I wanted to die. Working in a school building without air is miserable. Since then it's cooled down (high 60s-low 70s). I'm off school now and today is the first nice day (75) so I'm laying out. Discovery of the day - I look better in a bikini pregnant than not!

    Ugh, I feel you all on the heat. Walking the dog this morning I felt like laying down on the sidewalk. Then I got poop on my hand and I was like, I give up. We're going home. Poor guy is going to get shorter and shorter walks...

    @ladybee: That's awesome! I think my bathing suit this summer is going to be like the ones the Duggars wear - like scuba suits with skirts.

    @ladybee: wohooo hottie!!!!! I feel like I like my belly more pregnant myself, though I don't think I'd rock a bikini ever, before or during!

    @daniellemybelle: LOL at the Duggar's suits hahahaha

    Anyone else registry stalking? Since we're asking gifts be shipped to us, I figure I either see it on the registry or when it's at my door, so I'm TOTALLY stalking. 3 more things gone today, WOOT! (Lawn/stem drying rack items and our ERGO!!!)

    My BFF's shower is in 10 days and she gave in to stalk today (she had been ANTI stalking) and nothing is purchased! She is definitely panicking. But I think people usually shop the week before the shower if they're bringing the gift.

    How are all of yours treating ya!?

    @kjpugs: I haven't even registered yet but I better get to it. Our first shower is August 3rd.

    @ladybee: gurlll! get on that! It was kind of annoying to do but SO FUN now that it's done! lol

    @kjpugs: Nothing has been purchased off of mine. I'm not even sure I'm having a shower, to be honest. My friends have talked about one. My mom/sister haven't brought it up, and I'm reluctant to. My parents are struggling right now, I'm afraid my mom will accuse me of being greedy and I hate that I have to think about that.

    @daniellemybelle: I giggled. I'm sorry. I got poop on my hand twice this weekend and it was awful. I just don't understand why all dog poops can't be easy to pick up, or why the dog must poop in the yard with the longest grass.

    @ladybee: that's awesome and good for you!!!

    @daniellemybelle: I hear you! We are headed to South Carolina in a couple of weeks and I am waiting as long as possible to figure out the bathing suit situation...not looking forward to it at all and am thinking I need a lot of cute coverups

    @kjpugs: I also haven't done a registry yet though I plan to start at BRU this weekend since it's the closest and easiest baby store for everybody. I have a baby wishlist on Amazon where I've been combing through HB's and other internet lists. I plan to make it a registry shortly.
    Has anyone else used the Amazon universal registry?

    @ladybee: that's awesome, are you wearing a bikini that you already owned or did you go buy one? I need to find a cute suit for next month b/c we are going to Mexico for a wedding. I'm debating between a tankini or bikini, I figure I might as well let it all hang out, plus I've found not a lot of tankini's have the bust support I need.

    Also hello kicks, though getting hit in the belly button is the weirdest sensation ever, I've been trying to get DH to feel them but everytime I try, baby stops kicking. And baby likes to throw parties at 3am... I think that's foreshadowing for what's to come.

    @Redmini1: I have an Amazon registry set up for my extended family. They have a button you can add to your browser bar so you can put stuff on your registry. It's really easy and helpful!

  13. Redmini1

    cherry / 163 posts

    @evansjamie: that's good to know! We along with the rest of the family use Amazon for almost everything so I thought that would be the easiest since more of our extended family live on the east coast. Did you sign up for the Amazon Mom thing too?

  14. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

    @Redmini1: No, I didn't sign up. I don't shop Amazon regularly and the only thing I would use would be free two-day shipping. We have an Amazon location in Indiana, so I usually get my stuff within two-three days without having to pay for Amazon Mom.

    @EVANSJAMIE: Amazon Mom is free And sometimes you get access to promo codes for extra discounts on some products in the baby store!

    @Redmini1: @mrs. mochi: @evansjamie: I have an amazon registry! AND LOVE IT! The "thank you list" feature is amazing. But I don't know about Amazon mom (shocking since I LOVE Amazon and have prime) someone fill me in!!!!!!

  17. Redmini1

    @evansjamie: makes sense, I'm in Washington and I don't think we have one nearby at least not that I'm aware of. I'm hoping to take advantage of their subscribe and save on a few things. We'll see how it works out.

  18. Redmini1

    cherry / 163 posts

    @kjpugs: It looks like you get savings benefits when you use their subscribe & save on diapers, wipes etc. It works like your Prime account and I think you get a discount if you have both. Here's a link to it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/mom/signup/welcome

    watermelon / 14467 posts

    @mrs. mochi: Ooh, I didn't know that. If I was planning on using disposables, I would probably be more inclined to sign up for it and use the subscribe and save. If we end up going that route, I'll revisit it, but for now I'm going to hold off.

    @kjpugs: I didn't even know about the Thank you list feature! That is really helpful! I'm planning on having a printed one in case I have a shower so I can keep track of what I receive and who I need to send the lists to. I think I could pass it on to Baby Girl in her baby book.

    @evansjamie: it says:

    •20% Off Diapers and Wipes (exclusive to Amazon Mom)
    Set up automatic delivery with Subscribe & Save to have diapers and wipes delivered to your door.
    •Save 20% off other family essentials (exclusive to Amazon Mom)
    Choose 5 or more Subscribe & Save items to arrive on your monthly delivery day and save 20%.

    When I clicked things that interested me it included household stuff, pet stuff, etc, and even said diapers and let you pick disposable or cloth!

    @evansjamie: congrats! So whats that mean you're 24 weeks today?

    I'm so over these past few weeks i need it to be July. We have vacation coming up and my weekends finally start to clear and we'll have some down time. Every weekend since easter we've had a family event, or had to be away.

    I did have some time to make our nursery inspiration board on polyvore the other day. check it out

    @evansjamie: Congrats on viability!!!!

    @Chillybear: holy crap! Awesome nursery!!!

    I feel like I"m in the minority but our nursery is going to be so boring! We rent and baby will sleep in our room for a while, so I feel like it's wasting our money. But then I see cute nursery ideas like that and WISH we owned still so we could at least paint! DARN renter's practicality.

    @Chillybear: Ooh, I refinished a couple of RAST dressers last year for nightstands. I think the aqua gradient would be fabulous!

    @corilyns: I might go out for ice cream later...mainly I'll be getting the house ready for my husband to come home, which means I need to go grocery shopping.

    @kjpugs: I bet your nursery will be fabulous no matter what! Baby will be sleeping with us for awhile too (at least the first couple of weeks), so I'm not going all out right now. I got a fabulous print from Etsy last week though that I can't wait to frame and hang up in there.

    @Chillybear: Thank you! I found a grey chevron rug.

    @Chillybear: Cute!

    We're living with my parents for several months after the baby is born, but we are going to have three bedrooms of our own to use, so we're doing a nursery. I don't want to go all out though because we are just going to move within the year. The walls in the room we're using are a bluish grey so I'm trying to find a style that works with that. I really like a shabby chic / vintage look, but I also like the idea of nautical (white & blues) with pops of hot pink.

    @Chillybear: love your board! Purple happens to be my favorite color

    We had our 24 week check-up today (although will officially be 24 weeks on Sunday) and baby boy is doing great. He even kicked our midwife. Ha!

    Hi ladies! I hope everyone is doing well!

    I had my 20 week appointment this morning. I ended up getting a bonus ultrasound because my little one likes to hide behind my placenta! Baby boy looks great and even had the hiccups during the u/s. I'm finally feeling movements throughout the day and am feeling less nervous. AFM, my pelvis feels like it could split in half at any moment! I wasn't expecting to have an achy pelvis so soon!

    pomelo / 5321 posts

    @kjpugs: We rent too. We're allowed to paint one wall per room but we have to pay for each wall we want to paint. It's something ridiculous like $250/per wall. DS's nursery is simple too. I'd rather spend a lot of money on their rooms when they get a little older since it will last longer.

    Forgot to mention - I asked my midwife about achy lady parts (i know this was a concern for many of Us). She said its totally normal. Also, because my uterus is getting so big I've been experiencing pressure under my ribs and muscle spasms just under my left rib cage. Also all normal!

    @Sweet T: I'm glad baby boy is doing well! As for the achy pelvis, squats and child's pose helped me. Now I'm sitting on an exercise ball.

    @Sadieloo: Thanks for the information!
