    @Jennimac: sent!

@ladybee: YAYYY congrats on the fun furniture!!! It must be a relief! My MIL said she would in April and we're still waiting... oy.

@ladybee: Your furniture is beautiful! That's so nice your in-laws gifted it. My MIL generously offered, but hasn't said anything since... we'll see!

@Sadieloo: @daniellemybelle: thanks! When they first offered and took us shopping I was surprised by the quality and expectations they were looking for. It'll be the nicest furniture we own lol

So, in 3-4 months, we'll all have babies. CRAZY!

  6. kjpugs

    grapefruit / 4862 posts

@evansjamie: shut. up. I am already dizzy because my weekly update today (25 weeks!) says baby is 13 1/2 inches long. LONGER THAN A FIVE DOLLAR FOOTLONG. Mind = blown.

  7. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

@kjpugs: Bwahahahaha! Don't let my nonchalance over that statement fool you. I spend half my time in awe and the other half trying not to pee myself in terror that they are actually going to let me bring this brand new human being home and not make me get a license or something.

  8. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@evansjamie: @kjpugs: same way over here!! My cousin who was due 3.5 months before me went into labor Saturday. Made DH and I realize we need to get our butts moving!

Love the 5 dollar foot long comment! I'm only 23 weeks so baby is a foot long.

  9. kjpugs

    grapefruit / 4862 posts

@ladybee: I'm stressed about getting my butt moving too. My MIL offered to get us our (ikea) baby furniture in April and hasn't yet. I really am stressing because now that we're at the good infant survival rate time, I'm paranoid I'll go into labor, and bein the NICU without a crib at home. What is that maybe a .5% chance? Yet I am still PANICKED about my lack of nursery!!!!!!!

  10. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

@kjpugs: I hope she gets the furniture soon! I've got a crib, but that's it so far. I'm hoping this weekend we can at least get a mattress and sheets for it to have just in case.

  11. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@kjpugs: has your DH mentioned it to her again? She needs to get moving!

  12. kjpugs

    grapefruit / 4862 posts

@ladybee: YEP. World's longest story that I'm not writing on here. We got an ikea $65 gift card from a shower guest already so post-shower I'm just buying it either way because I'm sick of waiting and all the excuses.

  13. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

    @kjpugs: I'm sorry it's been stressful!

  14. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

@kjpugs: Ick, I hate that for you! I would do the same thing. My MIL bought us a bassinet, but I have no idea when I'll actually get it. I think I'll pick up a Moses basket or something to have on hand in our room just in case. Plus, she smokes, so if it sits in her house a long time I'll still have to wash everything even though it's been in a box.

@ladybee: That's some gorgeous furniture! Wonderful! So happy that you didn't pay for it.

@kjpugs: Hopefully DH can encourage MIL to get a move on? Or just buy it yourself and have her pick up some other huge expense?

So, speaking of nurseries, two weeks from now, my MIL is coming for 5 days -- yes 5 WHOLE days - to join forces with my DH and force me to reorganize our house. I should be grateful to not have to pay a professional organizer to help us get ready for baby?

Anyone a little worried about having a "Halloween baby"? I realized if I go 42 weeks that will be 10/29 - super close to Halloween! My birthday is in the month of December - not even that close to Christmas - but it was a bit a "thing" for me as a kid. I don't want our LO to get Halloween themed gifts or get their birthday party rolled into a Halloween party!

  32. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@daniellemybelle: yes! I hate hate hate Halloween and my original due date was the 28th. Now that it's been moved to the 22nd I'm a little more hopeful.

  33. daniellemybelle

    cantaloupe / 6669 posts

@ladybee: This is terrible, but I would probably be more willing to consider an induction at 41 weeks over 42 weeks just for this reason... A pretty dumb reason though!

  34. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

@daniellemybelle: I never really considered it. My sister's birthday is 8 days before Christmas. I know it was hard for me as a kid because it seemed like she got twice the presents. Luckily, even if I go to 42 weeks, it's only going to put her birthday on or around October 18. October is a tricky month though, since everyone is having parties for Halloween and a birthday may be overshadowed.

    pomelo / 5073 posts

My youngest sister's bday is October 22. She actually loves it. It's close enough that she can do something halloweenie if she wants, but far enough away that she could whatever theme birthday party she wanted. Her most favorite childhood party was a Halloween carnival and we had games and my parents rented some ponies to come out. It was super cute.

  36. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@Jennimac: I would be happy with October 22nd and I'm really ok with anything except the actual 31st.

27 Weeks yesterday... Strange how some of the pregnancy calendars consider this week the start of the 3rd trimester and others consider 28 weeks as the start of it. Either way October is closing in. I also haven't done anything with the nursery yet... really need to get on that. We've at least decided on a color scheme... Light Green on the walls, white furniture with grey accents, as gender neutral as it gets.

  40. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

@Redmini1: it's crazy how close it seems!

We made the trip to BBB today for a mattress and other things. They honored my bed bath and beyond coupon, so I basically got my mattress pad and closet organizer for free! Score!
