@jodyblair: I think it took me 45 minutes to get dressed today! All my maternity stuff from my last pregnancy is stretched out and too big, and most of my regular things no longer fit. It makes me feel terrible! I'm also officiating a wedding in three weeks and going to another a week later, and dreading finding something to wear.

@NovBaby1112: That's scary! hope the testing comes back ok, and you're not a carrier.

Bought this but off of zulily...looked like fun.

I had typed a whole thing in here and then I hit post and the site went down. Sigh. So I will just leave it short with what my last piece of exciting news was: I just listened to the heartbeat at home. I went back and forth over the weekend about renting a doppler and decided to go for it. It came today and I busted it out as soon as I got home. My husband found the heartbeat in about a minute. It was the best, well worth the money and now I feel great. My ultrasound got pushed back a few days to the 21st so it was nice to have this. I am just going to keep it for a month and then send it back and only use it once a week hopefully.

@Mrs. Pickle: 17w2d today! So I did just hear it about two weeks ago, but without having felt movement yet, I don't think, it was nice. And my appointments have been 5 weeks apart instead of 4 to work with my husband's schedule so wait times feel so long. Anyway, I am on a high right now!

    @hilsy85: gahh adorable!!

@Mrs. Goose: so exciting! I love hearing the heartbeat

Feeling sooo much movement lately, especially when I am laying in bed at night...this is definitely one of my favorite parts of being pregnant. I have my anatomy scan and doctors appointment on Monday, looking forward to that!

I have been feeling super paranoid the last few days about everything being ok...we found out that one of our friends lost her baby at 16 weeks along (no known reason, she had Materniti21 and everything had been fine) so I am now of course freaking out. I have part 1 of my anatomy scan on Wednesday, thank goodness, but the fact that I didn't wake up to pee in the MOTN last night worries me (silly I know). I really thought I'd be feeling more confident by this point.

@NovBaby1112: I am so jealous of all the movement you are feeling! That would make feel feel so much better...I have an anterior placenta this time and so I am not sure if that's not why I'm feeling definitive movement yet.

A few people have anatomy scans today right? Hope everyone's goes well!

@hilsy85: oh my god, that is so heartbreaking you always hear statistics like less than 2-3% after 13 weeks or something, but when it happens to someone you know, im sure it hits closer to home. I'm so sorry for their loss...I'm only feeling lots of movement bc I have a posterior placenta, I def wouldn't worry about not feeling anything bc with anterior it takes awhile longer, and I only started feeling lots of movement maybe less than 2 weeks ago? Hoping it happens for you soon!!

My anatomy scan is today at 11:30- excited and nervous!

Soooo coming up on 17 weeks and the puking has FINALLY STOPPED. I'm still dry heaving a lot but I've been able to eat some fruit every day and drink way more than I have been able to. I haven't put any weight back on yet, and I'm still on sick leave, but it's progress.

Haven't felt the bean yet, and finally after being rejected by so many obs (there is a cap here on how many patients they can take per month) I finally have an OB at the hospital I want to deliver at.

  24. hilsy85

    squash / 13764 posts

@NovBaby1112: I know, I think it's actually like .5% after 14 weeks, assuming normal nuchal results. So so awful.

Hope your anatomy scan went well!!

@babycanuck: that's so great! I hope you continue to feel better!

ugh, feeling more stressed out now. anatomy scan went great until the end when the doctor casually mentioned something about the cord being attached to the edge of the placenta, instead of in the center. She stressed it was pretty common and she see's it a lot, and usually it does not cause any problems but they need to keep an eye on it just in case, so they scheduled another US for 32 weeks. Of course then I get home and google it and it sounds pretty scary I was feeling so carefree this pregnancy, and now between this and my genetic test I just took this morning, I am feeling so stressed.

Just hoping everything is fine for both.....

@babycanuck: Yay for getting an OB and an even bigger YAY for the beginning of the end of morning sickness. (Do we even call it that with HG?) Still sounds so rough, but I hope the end is very near!

@hilsy85: I have a friend that just miscarried as well. She was I think toward the end of the first trimester, so I guess in the more common time to have a miscarriage, but still. How difficult that must be for your friend.

@NovBaby1112: The 32 (34?) week ultrasound is what I had for dd to check on the position of the placenta, seems like the normal time for them to recheck that kind of stuff. If the OB doesn't seem worried I would try not to be as well. I know it's way easier said than done!

I'm pretty sure I felt movement today!!! I still can't distinguish my stupid stomach from the baby for the most part but there were a couple of kicks/flutters I'm pretty sure were the baby.

And we got dd a big girl bed today. We still have to order a mattress, and I know it's not that early to switch (she's already 2.5) but still.. she's really growing up! Sniff, sniff. We are starting a new class tomorrow and potty training (finally) this week. Hoping it all goes well, I know she's definitely ready (but we'll see if I am with the potty accidents, lol.)

  27. hilsy85

    squash / 13764 posts

@NovBaby1112: Sorry to hear about that!! I am sure that if your OB is not worried, that it really is very common. Definitely don't google! I hope the results of your test come back ok

@2littlepumpkins: yay for feeling movement!! So exciting about the big girl bed and potty training let me know how that goes for you! I am dreading potty training! Hoping to do it over the summer...

@hilsy85: thank you im feeling better today...I definitely think Google has more "worse case scenarios". You excited for your anatomy scan tomorrow??

  29. Mrs. Pickle

    blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts

@NovBaby1112: I'm sorry you didn't get great results. It sounds like everything should be ok though!

It's crazy that we are getting to the point of anatomy scans.

  30. hilsy85

    squash / 13764 posts

@NovBaby1112: oh good, glad you're feeling better! When do you get your genetic test results?

I am excited but nervous...thank goodness, my doctor does 2 anatomy scans, so I have this 16 week appt, then an 18 week appt with my OB, then my 20 week anatomy scan, and then my 22 week OB appt--so by that time I should be feeling movement and will be ok going 4 weeks between appts!!

@Mrs. Pickle: I know, time is flying!

@hilsy85: I'm hoping within 2 weeks? They weren't sure when I would get them bsck but said they would call asap. Omg that is awesome you have all those appointments! That will be reassuring!

@NovBaby1112: agree with others...if your dr doesn't seemed worried then it should be fine. I know quitting the worrying yourself is easier said than done.

@hilsy85: I had an anterior placenta with DS and another one this time I felt movement around 16 weeks with DS and this time I started feeling it around 14 weeks but it definitely is not consistent. Hopefully you will start feeling the movements soon!!
