Yay for October babies (and all babies!)!
We're celebrating my due date by checking off a few nice-to-haves on the to-do list!
We have an electrician putting in some new lighting. And I'm going to clean the fridge, go on a walk with my doula and make some banana bread!If baby isn't out before Monday, I'll be back for some more acupuncture. I got a light treatment on Thursday with the plan to crank up the needles if I need. Trying to avoid getting induced!!!
ETA: oh and I would really like to avoid going to work on Monday! Normally my days are mellow but I have a client meeting that I am really dreading. Would be so much nicer to have a baby instead!

Hey ladies, sorry for the quiet! Internet access is average as per usual & just no time!
Claire Elise joined us on September 30th, after a successful induction - REALLY successful, which I'll share soon. (Should we start a labour and delivery story thread?)
She is (as we expected) a BIG girl - 4.1kg / 9lb1oz and came out screaming with a head full of thick black hair and cheeks for days. She looks NOTHING like me at all, haha - the midwives keep doing double takes. All her daddy & his Sri Lankan heritage, and much darker than Georgia.
All doing well, just trying to remember adjusting to newborn days & will be here in the hospital til Tuesday morning. Breastfeeding is just as hard as I remember.

Little sis arrived at 1:15am this morning! 8lb 2 oz at ~38.5 weeks. FAST labor and delivery. Such a sweet muffin! Have only slept 30 minutes since due to all the excitement. Good luck to all you other October mamas!!

@avivoca: Same! Waiting for things to ramp up. Got quite a few comments this weekend as I walked all over around town trying to get things moving ("twins?" "your water just broke!" whatevs!). And I'm not looking forward to work tomorrow...

@Amorini: I am so glad I am on leave right now. It was rough last week! Both with people making comments and the sheer amount of discomfort I was feeling. I'm also super confident in my replacement this time.
