This afternoon at work, I started to feel very off...really sleepy and lethargic. My glucose was okay, 107, but I ate anyway. Then I went to get up and I could barely walk. It's like baby dropped and is sitting on a nerve. I can't even pick up H. I've decided to call in tomorrow and get my chiropractor appointment moved to the morning. Baby girl is moving around still, but I'm going to call the midwife and see if they can check on her to give me peace of mind.

@avivoca: Keep us updated, lady! So sorry you're feeling weird--hope it's nothing to worry about! And don't feel bad about calling your midwife. I would call if I were you, too.

So I go to a ballet class once a week and I was chatting with the teacher after it was done tonight about pregnancy/labor. I was telling her how the birth class we took this weekend had made me a little nervous about labor and she said "oh you'll be fine, you're big and have big hips." Ummm...thanks?? 🙄 Why do these comments always come from people who should know better?

@avivoca: hope the Chiro helped - how are you?? xxx

@jaguar: It's 6:30 am here, so i haven't been yet. I've been resting and waking up a lot to make sure A is moving (she is, she's a party animal at night). I'm going to call the midwife when they open.

@avivoca: Ah, good plan. It's 9pm here so I'm all out of whack with my times. Baby girl has been SO quiet here today!

@Kitkat: UGH. People will say ANYTHING to pregnant women! So sorry!

@avivoca: Thinking of you this morning! Hope you're feeling a little better and that you can get in to see the midwives today.

@mfa_lady: They are having me come in to check for a UTI and make sure my blood pressure is okay. I will update when I know more.

@avivoca: Checking in from September! So glad you're going in to see them. That is kinda scary. You're smart to trust your instincts about feeling off. Sending you good thoughts!

Strong heartbeat for A, in the 180s. Urine has some leukocytes, but looks okay. They are thinking stress maybe. Will know more when I see the midwife (I was seeing her student).

@jaguar: Nice to hear things are stable there, too. Sending lots of love while you're away from your big girl. Also... you have looked amazing in your recent pictures!

Hope both of your bambinos keep baking away

They are sending my pee out for culture because there are white blood cells present, a lot of them. In the meantime, I was told to go home, rest, and drink plenty of fluids. I have a chiropractor appointment at 11:45 to hopefully get my hips worked out because I am having a hard time walking, lifting H (into/out of the stroller and out of the car seat).

I feel silly for going in (and cried, dang hormones), but the nurse said that she wanted me in ASAP because I never complain about anything. I feel a lot better knowing that A is okay. She also said that they wanted to make sure I wasn't having any pre-term labor.

Pray for no rain tonight in West Virginia, because T is supposed to come home tomorrow.

@avivoca: Don't feel silly! It sounds like they're glad you came in, too Rest and drink and turn your brain off! Have been amazed by how busy you have been between work, creating a beautiful room for your girls, and having a traveling husband. Hope that you have a peaceful afternoon- will pray for good weather, cooperative preschooler, healthy babe, and rest!

@avivoca: Oh gosh, don't feel silly. After this pregnancy, I'll go in for any slight worries in the future. Better to be safe for you and bub.

    @mand4: thank you so much!

Well after baby barely moving yesterday, the midwife briefly checked her heartbeat on the Doppler this morning. It was fine, but the baby kicked me so hard that the Doppler probe flew off my belly. I guess that was her way of telling me she was still here? Hehe.

Has anyone else felt baby get heavier and lower in the last few weeks - or is this a 'paranoid Jag worried the baby will fall out' moment?

@jaguar: I'm praying that your cervix stays closed. Sending closing thoughts your way!!! And A has been moving all day long, like she's trying to assure me that everything is OK.

Posting here as well as my thread, sorry for the doubling up.

    More bad news.

So last Tuesday before hospital bed rest, my cervix was barely hanging in there at 0.7cm and funneling. Today we re-checked, and the news was worse.

Baby's head is engaged. My cervix has completely effaced and has dilated to 1.5cm. You can see my membranes and baby's head with a speculum.

I'm waiting on my OB to visit to follow up, but the MFM Doctor already rang him concerned from the ultrasound rooms - and it looks like a transfer to the Public hospital for their nicu team, as they doubt I'll get to 32 weeks.

I am freaking out right now. 😩😥

@jaguar: Oh Jag. I'm so sorry. For the moment, concentrate on the little milestones. Let's get you to the public hospital, as t will be the best place for you and baby. Then, let's get to tomorrow. Keep baking baby girl!!! How is she doing?

I know it is so scary. I'm praying for you.

Also, in response to your earlier question, yes, baby is definitely getting lower for me. It's very uncomfortable to sit and I feel like I have a basketball in my crotch.

@jaguar: I'm sorry the news wasn't better. I'm glad you are being so closely monitored and have been able to do what little you can go keep her cooking longer. Thinking of you

@jaguar: I'm so sorry. You're doing great though and it sounds like baby girl is too despite. Have they given you any estimates on how much she weighs now? Best wishes, I'm so sorry you and baby are going through so much.

They didn't repeat growth scan as it was only done a week ago.

    Last estimate was 1.4-1.5kgs

@jaguar: I had to convert to lbs but that's 3.3 last week? She's doing good! I hope she stays put as long as possible and keeps that lil body growing. I can't imagine how stressful that is not knowing the plan and hoping for more time but it sounds like she's been growing really well so far at least Best wishes mama.

@jaguar: Just tuning in (MOTN pee and then insomnia)! So sorry it's all so stressful. Remember that from the beginning, she is a little fighter girl!! I wish so badly that you could have a calm and quiet wrap-up to this pregnancy but looks like you might get to meet little bub sooner than you thought. Thinking of you and your bub! Be strong, girls!! Stay in there, baby!

Thanks guys. I'm so sorry, I'm just a total basket case right now. Arrived at westmead public hospital and had contractions in the hallway - they settled with drugs (nursing staff freaked out and called delivery suite just in case!) but seems I was just anxious and dehydrated as they settled. I'm all set here now and we just have to continue all meds and see what happens next.

@jaguar: Lady, don't apologize. This is a stressful time. Keep pushing those fluids and try to relax. You are in the best place you can be for baby girl to come early. Like previous poster said, this little girl is a fighter. She has shown you that time and time again with this pregnancy. Have faith in her. Have faith in you.

@jaguar: A good friend had her twins at 32 weeks and I think the biggest was about 3.5 lbs. They had a nicu stay but both kids are now almost 4 years old and doing great. Another friend delivered a one pounder super early (I think it was twenty some weeks) and now has a healthy 5 year old. Take it one day at a time. They are going to take great care of you and your baby! You got this, mama!!!

@jaguar: you have nothing to apologize for. Keep us updated - even if it is just your anxiety. We want to know how you are doing. Glad you are settled into your new hospital and I while I hope she can hold off, glad she will have the best care if she does come soon.
