@Mrs.ThinMint: Hi friend! Obviously a lot has happened since we last had coffee -- do they have you on baby asprin for the pre-e?

@AZJAX: You didn't ask me, but I've been using the homemade version of diclegis without the unisom (B6 3x a day) - no unisom because I already go to sleep at 7:45 when my son does. It takes the edge off, but I still vomit on it so I wouldn't exactly give it a glowing recommendation. I took Zofran with my son's pregnancy, but they say it isn't the first line of defense anymore.

You guys... I am so nervous for my beta today that I am shaking. I'm going over my lunch break that way I'll be at home when they call with the results, in case it's bad news. But waiting sucks!

@azjax: I'm taking Zofran, Diclegis, phenergan, and reglan right now.

@Mrs.ThinMint: I hope it's your silver bullet! Not sure if you remember, but my sister had her son at 32 weeks (started hospital stints at 24 weeks) and made it to 38 weeks with her next! They took him at 38 weeks because she was going crazy and having major white coat syndrome - her blood pressure was actually fine and no signs of pre-e!

  7. azjax

@LBee: how much B6 per dose? I might try Unisom at night but no way I can get through the daytime on something like that!

  8. azjax

@Mrs.ThinMint: wow, so many! I hope they are helping

  9. LBee

@azjax: Unisom made me exhausted even in the mornings when I took it at night. I take 25 mg 3 times a day... it takes some time to kick in, though. Hopefully it works better for you. I just threw up in our office bathroom so it's not some miracle drug for me at all. I just like feeling like I'm doing something.

@LBee: my OB tried to call in a Diclegis Rx for me but my insurance is requiring pre-authorization. I freaking hate our insurance, ugh. I picked up some B6 and Unisom and I guess we'll see how it goes.

I took a leap of faith and ordered a big brother shirt for my would-be middle (I am hiding the whole thing from big sister at least until past NIPT because she's old enough to tell people!). I don't like doing so having not seen a heartbeat yet . . . but I wanted to be able to tell family in a cute way if it goes well, and I'd need to do it right away because I'm flying to my mom's with the kids for spring break two days later. I tell myself worst case I can save it . . . I did that when trying for #2 and she had almost outgrown it by the time we got a sticky baby!

Anyone else planning any reveals, even just to family?

@bhbee: we are thinking to tell family around Easter. Not quite 2nd tri, but we hope to have had an NT scan by then. Haven't decided how we will tell just yet....

Update: had my first appt yesterday (2/28) and saw baby's heartbeat. I have an updated EDD of 10/23. Doctor mentioned that baby was low in uterus and asked me if I'd had any bleeding (no). She wants me to come back in three weeks for another ultrasound to get an update and to take it easy on my workouts in the meantime. A little nervous but taking it easy to give Peapod time to develop. Hope everyone else is well!

Had my first ultrasound today and I am measuring at 6w6d (thought I was 6+4 based on O), so my updated EDD is October 19. Baby's heartbeat was 123bpm. I've now passed the dates of my previous losses so I am feeling cautiously optimistic! Nausea has been awful but "homemade" Diclegis is definitely taking the edge off.

@azjax: @christi70: yay for good ultrasounds!!

I am constantly swinging between feeling nervous if I'm not sick enough and being annoyed at feeling super sick. I know it's all normal I just want to see that HB next week! I signed up my oldest for kinder today and it would be really fun to have a new little one around the time she starts

My appointment was pushed back to March 14. Midwife wanted to make sure we will be able to hear the heartbeat. May go shop for a few maternity pieces because most of my clothes are getting tight. I don't think I've gained any weight yet. People are telling me that I look like I have lost a few pounds.

@bhbee: Same. I actually am feeling a little better today and it has me worried that something is wrong.

@christi70: @azjax: Glad you had a great ultrasound!

@bhbee: That seems about par for the course for early pregnancy. I felt okay yesterday (nausea but no vomiting) and was so freaked out - I woke up vomiting this morning. Symptoms can vary so widely... even minute to minute. Exciting you will be announcing soon. We told my family on Valentine's Day and won't really tell anyone else until after the NIPT. I can't really wrap my head around telling friends the sex at the same time. It seems crazy.

Just had my ultrasound today to confirm my date and I'm right where I thought I was based on ovulation -7w6d. My updated EDD is October 12th. The heartbeat was 168bpm! My husband got emotional My next appt is on march 15th for my first full prenatal appt...unfortunately with just the assistant because my doctor was booked. Here's a cute pic of our gummy bear:

@coleycam: love that pic! So many good updates for the list!

@LBee: I know what you mean about the gender! For my first two it made the anatomy scan such a big deal to find out at 18w. It seems kind of strange so get so much news at once with NIPT!

Hi Ladies! I hope it's ok that I join this party a little late.

Location: Korea (husband is military) but moving back stateside this summer! (not sure where)

    EDD: 10.10.17

    First child-No, currently have a 2yo

Any symptoms? Super nauseous, tired, headaches, achy tummy. I seem to feel the stretching more this time. I felt it a lot with my first but not until later in my first trimester. I've felt it literally since the day I found out I was pregnant.

Who have you told? We told most of our family.

Current thoughts/feelings/fears? It's been an emotional rollercoaster already with some wonky tests in the beginning and just a slower start than with my daughter. We saw my 2yo's heartbeat at 6w4d but didn't see anything but a yolk sack and gestational sack at 6w5d with this one. Just went back Friday and baby had blossomed measuring 8w4d with a heart rate of 189! We had a very early miscarriage in November so I'm just a ball of nerves.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

We have our NT scan scheduled for March 27th (1 day before 12 weeks). I thought it was supposed to be closer to 13 weeks but dr didn't seem concerned when we scheduled it for that date. Anyone have an earlier NT?

  25. bhbee

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

@MrsDecember: welcome! Glad you had a good ultrasound Friday! I think my last nt was before 12 weeks. I think 11-13 is normal.

@MrsDecember: welcome! I had my NT scan around 12w last time, but my MFM specialist does them from 11-13w. He was also able to correctly tell the gender at that time (from the scan, no blood test)!

Really struggling with nausea and fatigue over here. I'm on Diclegis, which helps some and I'm grateful for it. Actually, I found an old post on the Bee that helped me save $137 on the Rx!!! The maker of Diclegis offers an e-coupon that can take the copay down to $40. Trying to take the symptoms as a positve sign, but in all reality I know that they don't mean much so I'm looking forward to feeling better as the pregnancy advances.

@azjax: that's awesome on the coupon! I've started checking any brand name drug and otc stuff too, I didn't realize how many coupons were out there for drugs.

Good luck to all the appointments this week! I'm super nervous for mine. Worried about bad news or "wait two weeks and see" news. I also feel like I've pretty much given up on having it together this week, if my kids are fed something I consider it a good day..

@bhbee: Good luck! My poor son is so confused of what is going on - we haven't told him and he keeps asking me if I don't feel well and how he can make it "all better." This morning I had to pull over to throw up on the side of the road and he started crying and asking "where I was going" and "what was wrong." I feel horrible (emotionally and physically) and keep hoping this sickness ends at 12 weeks.

@MrsDecember: Welcome! I've been feeling a lot of stretching too (some of it actually painful). I asked my OB and she claims it's normal. It had me pretty freaked out thought.

Sorry you ladies are feeling so sick. I really haven't been feeling sick at all. Week 8 and 9 I had ridiculous pelvic pain. It hurt to sit and lie certain ways and would give out on me while walking sometimes. I was literally limping. Somehow that has magically stopped and I thank God for it. Now I'm just tired all the time. I legit slept my entire weekend away. I felt bad for being to tired to really play with my son. Luckily I stay at home with him. I dozed off on him 3 times today, thank God it was only for a minute each time. I definitely took a nap with when he did today for like almost 3 hours smh. I don't know where this fatigue came from all of a sudden. But I hate it. I feel like a zombie. I was never like this during my first pregnancy

@LBee: aw that's sad but sweet. I hope you feel better soon. I felt sick until 16w with my second so not getting my hopes up, but I do think every time has been a little different so who knows.

All - Had my US today. Baby measuring at 8wk1d and by my count I'm 7wk6d so they kept my DD the same: Oct 18. Heartbeat 173.

Also, I have been feeling terrible for a couple of weeks now and was given a prescription for diclegis. Taking it tonight and hoping it'll help me as I haven't been able to properly do any work for days now.

Going back on April 30th for a follow up and doing the blood test to check for downsyndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities. Am told it also identifies x and y chromosomes so I think I'll go ahead and find out the sex too! Wee!

    How is everyone else doing?

@BarreMommy: great news on the ultrasound! I've been taking Diclegis, which definitely takes the edge off. Typically I get about 90 minutes where I feel pretty good about half hour after I take a tablet, and other times it just makes things manageable. I've also been taking my 3 tablets per day at 8hr intervals rather than 1 in the morning and 2 at night, since splitting them gives me better all day coverage.

  39. BarreMommy

@azjax: Good to know! I'm not sure why they didn't tell me I could take one right away but I'm sitting here like an idiot waiting to take the 2 tonight. I was told I could eventually work up to 4 a day if the 2 or 3 don't cut it. We'll see. I would really love to just not feel like I'm on death's door for most of the day...

I'm feeling pretty good for the most part. My hip is a little achy, but I had the same issue when I was pregnant with my first. I am still very tired and my appetite isn't great.
