@Kemma: I hope you get good results on Friday . Thinking of you

Do you date your pregnancy by your LMP or by ovulation day? I know my OB goes by LMP, but I have been thinking of myself as 6 weeks, 2 days based on an early O day. Even though I am only 5 weeks, 4 days based on LMP. I guess it doesn't matter, maybe I'm too much of a literalist.
Not much going on with me, a small increase in nausea and my breasts now feel like there are tiny pins stuck into them. So sore.

@Bibliolove: my doctor goes based on LMP. I think she would only change dates if there was a large discrepancy.

@Bibliolove: They changed mine when I went in for an early ultrasound because of bleeding. I think based on LMP my due date would be something like Sept 10, but based on the ultrasound they put it at Sept 19, which is very close to what my app calculated based on ovulation.

@Bibliolove: Mine goes by LMP too unless there's been a dating ultrasound with a discrepancy. For some reason my midwife thinks i'm two days off (but i'm not, nor was I measuring). I hope my NT scan sets it straight!

Ok, thanks all! I'm curious to know what is going on in there, will have to see what she puts me at during my appt.

How is everyone feeling? This week has definitely been the roughest for me symptom wise - near-constant nausea and light-headedness, and I am pretty tired. I'm sure it could be much, much worse, though.

@periwinklebee: I'd use the term surviving. I've feel just awful this week. Vomiting started, lots of violent gagging, tired and just feel blah. My DH has be sooo amazing. He's been dealing with dinners, leaving me and DD breakfast, packing my lunch. I struggle to even walk in to our kitchen area so it's a huge help. The poor guy is going to burn him self out with all the work!

@periwinklebee: I've been feeling fairly normal. Occasional waves of nausea, but mostly an insane increase in appetite, food aversions, and sore breasts. I'm on a medication (not pregnancy related) that has shown in studies to be a significant anti-nausea. I have a feeling that it helping my stomach.
I used to be a really healthy eater (usually), but all that is appetizing now is carbs, and sometimes chicken and fruit. I've already gained like 5lbs. because I feel like eating constantly. I hope this doesn't last the whole time or I'm in for a heck of a weight gain

@periwinklebee: Another weird thing: I used to be a La Croix addict. I could go through a pack in two days. But the thought of drinking one for the past two weeks sounds horrible. It's amazing how our tastes can change in such a short amount of time due to such a tiny little person

The nausea has hit me pretty hard today - I'm 6w5d. I have to constantly eat to feel somewhat OK. No throwing up yet, but little episodes of dry heaving. I kind of don't mind it though. Since a few days ago I was freaking out because I didn't have symptoms.

I feel almost completely not pregnant which on top of the spotting (which only stopped for the evening but has continued since Sunday) is freaking me out. I can't even say how many times I've googled my spotting even though I know it can be normal but my mind automatically goes to miscarriage I'm almost tired of worrying because I can't do I anything anyway even if things end up that way. I emailed my doctor again this morning asking when I should worry. The other night I had a nightmare about miscarrying in the bathroom... I'm fairly certain I've officially become THAT person.

@Mrs. K: can your doc get you in for an early scan, to put your mind at ease? I might request one, your state of mind is important!

@Banana330: Yuck, I'm so sorry. Really glad your husband can pick up some of the slack, though.
@annem1990: I'm the opposite, nothing sounds good and I have to force myself to eat. I don't really have aversions yet, but my stomach cannot handle even slightly fatty cuts of meat. The bleeding has been lighter, thankfully.
@Mrs. K: I'm sorry, I hope your doctor can get you in soon to provide some peace of mind. I think it's still pretty early to have many symptoms, I became much more miserable at 7 weeks on the dot, and honestly based on the heart rate we saw the odds are that the symptoms are there in spite of a non-viable pregnancy. I really don't think symptoms mean much.

@Bibliolove: i had one last week on Monday and so I know it isn't ectopic.. spotting started on Sunday. I'm sure my doctor thinks I'm nutcase...

@Mrs. K: Honestly.. doctors are use to pregnancy crazy... I wouldn't worry about bugging them.

@periwinklebee: I hope things take a turn for you guys in my obsessive googling yesterday I read about lots of women who had a SCH who then went on to have healthy pregnancies. I feel like you never know with pregnancy, that anything can happen. I'm getting really close to the point of giving up on worrying because it's incredibly draining and pointless and I feel like a madwoman. Analyzing toilet paper after you wipe is not a fun way to spend your time! Lol... how are you holding up?
Thanks everyone for letting me vent and being so supportive

@Banana330: lol thank you... the assistant last week did try to reassure me that I'm not alone but I was like- maybe she's just being nice.
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@Mrs. K: Thanks! I read with SCH that after seeing a healthy heartbeat the odds of loss are 1 in 3, not great but definitely not terrible either. (If there's been bleeding but no SCH and a healthy heart beat, the odds are like 5%, about what they would be w/o bleeding). The slow heartbeat and measuring behind were additional blows, that I think lower the odds a lot. I hope our tiny embryo is just getting a late start, but in any case at this point I'm just staying optimistic that I'll hold our baby eventually. Lately I haven't been feeling great physically, and I don't feel like I have energy left to worry emotionally. A silver lining of symptoms!

Hi everyone!!
Just had my first Dr appt today.
I'm based in SoCal
Due September 19th
My second. My first will be 4 years and 4 months by the time I deliver.
Currently hungry all the time! Nauseated, and tired as well. But feeling so grateful and excited!
We plan on keeping quiet for awhile so only my best friend and husbands knows.
At my appt today my doctor said all my ultrasounds will have to be done at the hospital due to my age. Which I thought was interesting. (I'm 34)

@homestylecreations: congrats and welcome!
@periwinklebee: I have my fingers crossed for you that maybe your lil guy just got a late start! I'm glad you're in a better place emotionally with everything and I hope your symptoms ease up on you soon! Your doctor was more concerned about the sch right?
I ended up getting a call from the nurse responding to my email this morning (sent before I finally had peace with everything) who basically told me that I should go in for an ultrasound to be safe. DH is being supportive but also questioned whether they can do anything at this point if something is wrong? Which made us both wonder if we should just wait until next week's appointment. In the end I decided to keep the appointment so I'll be going in at 11am tomorrow to hopefully get some peace of mind.

@Mrs. K:
thinking of you. Thank you
@homestylecreations: welcome!
I went to grab a trash bag last night b/c I thought I might have to puke, only to discover that the garbage disposal had sprung a leak. Yuck, not good timing!

@Mrs. K: Good luck today!
@periwinklebee: smells are the worst. I still can't walk in our kitchen without puking. I usually can go back in after I puke though. It was amazing this morning puking out our front door while my toddler cried in the kitchen...yay pregnancy!
I just booked my NT scan. They are the best. The baby looks like an actual baby by then and it's so cute!
I had a mild panic last night trying to refill my progesterone prescription. I got it from my original OB ut the fertility clinic upped my dose so I was running out early but the pharmacy said insurance wouldn't cover it because according to the dosage I should have tons left. I left a message for my midwife this morning so hopefully they can call me in the extra week I need. So looking forward to being done with that!

@Banana330: Ugh, I'm sorry, that sounds miserable.
Hope you can get the prescription worked out!

@periwinklebee: I ended up getting in touch with the fertility clinic and they are going to call it in for me... It's only a week's worth that i'm short.. but i'd be super paranoid about miscarrying for that week..
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@Banana330: Glad you got it worked out! I always find it stressful to have to deal with prescription stuff.
ugh, I just passed a small clot. But I feel so absolutely miserable right now that I'm pretty sure it's just part of the SCH, which the doctor said might happen, and not the start of a miscarriage.

@annem1990: @periwinklebee: @banana330: I talked with my mom and apparently she, my aunt and her two daughters all experienced the same thing during their pregnancies. This gave me the piece of mind I needed so I'm holding off till next week. Thanks for the good thoughts and support ladies!

@banana330: sorry to hear the nausea is so strong these days. I hope the medication helps!

@periwinklebee: Sorry it's stressing you out. Take it easy today. When do you go back? did you call your doc? might be worth telling them.
@Mrs. K: Glad you got some reassurance. Rest up this weekend!
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@Mrs. K: I'm glad it gave you some peace of mind. I think by next week you'll be able to see more from the scan in any case.
@Mrs. K: @Banana330: I have an appt tomorrow. At this point thankfully I'm not too stressed and more just in survival mode. If there's still a heartbeat, I may ask about diclegis. I've also had a headache the past couple of days, and am sure that's making the symptoms worse than they'd otherwise be.

Is anyone else not having any/hardly any symptoms? I'm starting to get paranoid! I was soooo sick, or had headaches, heartburn, exhaustion this point in my two previous pregnancies but I feel pretty normal except for the bump I'm sporting.
nectarine / 2317 posts
@matador84: I didn't really have symptoms until 8 weeks... and even now they are terrible one day and then can be ok later that day or the next day. Not nearly as bad as last time.
