@Banana330: I always run cold when pregnant, apparently! No round ligament pain here, but I never had any with my daughter at all.
@periwinklebee: I don't blame you; midwives sound like a good alternative
@Kemma: I've been tracking the time in nz thinking of you.

@Banana330: No RLP yet, BUT I am feeling early baby movement which is so crazy because I'm only almost 7 weeks. I wouldn't know what it was if I hadn't had children before!

No heartbeat, no change to the CRL measurement and the sack is starting to collapse. Now just waiting on a call from my midwife to see what my options are.
And as a bit of light (and slightly inappropriate) humour, my dear husband did mention that at least if it's a zombie baby (he's a Walking Dead fan) it didn't yet have hands or teeth!

@Kemma: so sorry . Love your husband though for trying to lighten the mood. In a zombie world, you'd have to think long and hard about TTC!

@Kemma: So sorry. Love the dark humor. That's what got/gets us through too.

@Kemma: I'm so sorry I'm glad your husband could still bring some humor. I hope your midwife gets back in touch soon.

I had an ultrasound on Saturday and the midwife just called with the results. It was a very surprising call. She said the ultrasound showed two gestational sacs. One was empty. The other showed a heartbeat.
I was really floored by this. I said, "If there had been activity in the other sac, does that mean I would be having twins?" She said yes. But it looks like only one embryo is viable.
I have to go back for another ultrasound in a week to see if anything's going on with the second sac. My midwife expects that it will collapse on its own and I won't have any bleeding or anything.
So much to process! That second ultrasound (which I still need to schedule) can't come soon enough.

@MsInformation: wow, that's wild! Surprised that your ultrasound tech didn't mention it at all.

@Banana330: March 8th. They said that is for First Trimester Screening. It involves a blood draw. They said it was optional, noninvasive, and most women chose to have it. Now I'm second guessing myself on agreeing! Is anyone else doing this?
nectarine / 2317 posts
@annem1990: yup.. it's the IPS screening (blood +ultrasound) or just the blood test ones? We're doing the IPS one cause the other one isn't covered by government here unless you're over 40 or screen high risk in the IPS.

@annem1990: I plan on doing some type of genetic testing, I plan on talking to my provider for the options. It depends on my insurance coverage though. I figure I will call insurance once I get my first appointment and confirmation of heartbeat.

@Kemma: I am so sorry love
@Boopers: hope the appt goes well!
@annem1990: so sad to lose my due date buddy but I'm glad the appt went well! We opted to do the genetic testing. We figured if something was wrong we would want to know ahead of time to prepare. My ultrasound for that is March 11th.

I just started bleeding super heavy . on phone with dr now
Update: nothing can be done, can't schedule an ultrasound because I already had one so it wouldn't be covered. Since it just started I have no idea as to the extent of the bleeding. If I fill a ton of pads or get super terrible cramps (nothing happening in that dept right now) I can go to the ER. Could go either way.

@StrawberryBee: oh no, thinking of you!
Is an ER trip covered under your insurance or would it be crazy expensive?

@StrawberryBee: oh my gosh I'm so sorry! Will your doctor do one even if it isn't covered? Would it be cheaper than going to the ER?
