@Smurfette: Awww, poor R!!! At least this is the last time she has to deal with this particular biter! Hopefully there aren't any at the new daycare!

@QueensBee: thank you for sharing that video! I want LO to say mama so bad! He can say daddy, kitty, doggy, and now BLUEBERRY, but not mama! What the heck?
I hope everyone is doing well! I can not for the life of me keep up with this thread

@Smurfette: That is so awesome that they had a party for her last day! What a cute picture. I know today must be so hard and I hope the transition to the new daycare goes good.
@Adira: I hope your LO#2 is as easy as Xander!
@blackbird: Or maybe a bottle of wine!! lol. I think I will get DH to do a couple nights once he is back home. These babies sure do know how to get their way.
@QueensBee: This is one time that I wish he had ever taken a paci.
@Silva: Oh gosh lady, 8 times is just crazy!! How are you even functioning? I hope that she gets better and will start sleeping better.
Today has been great. I have the day off so I took Isaac to daycare, came home and slept a couple more hours and then did a bunch of running around. Now to relax for an hour and go pick the little monkey up.

@ALV91711: barely. barely functioning.
last night and tonight she was asleep by 6PM which makes for a relaxing evening! My problem is that I just sit on the couch with a beer and stare at the t.v. and suddenly its 9:30 (watching old Sex and the City on demand, and increasingly annoyed with Carrie, BTW).
Will be trying to force myself into bed early tonight. I did tell my husband that if tonight starts going the way that last night did I'm calling him and he has to come home. I'm not doing it again by myself, the hospital will just have to deal without him.

@ALV91711: Um, your day sounds amazing. I admit I've already fantasized a little bit about what I'm going to do with my time during the week we are transitioning T to childcare (she'll spend a few hours there alone a couple days in a row, and I won't start working until the next week....the possibilities are endless!)
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@ALV91711: Oh my gosh, me too, but I doubt we'll get that lucky twice!!!
pomelo / 5621 posts
@Silva: I do the same thing most evenings. I always intend to go to bed early and rarely do.
Isaac was screaming when I put him in the car today and I noticed a molar trying to come up. I'm so not looking forward to this.

@ALV91711: Yikes! Sorry to hear about the molar!! Hope you don't have a rough night tonight...

@silva. Oh man I hope tonight goes well! E went down early tonight and I've done is sit on my phone and watch tv.

Well R fell asleep on the way home, and didn't go to bed till 815. So that makes me feel 100 times better about moving her. That is way too late. She woke up screaming an hour later. She was chewing on her hand so we gave her Motrin but lucky she fell back asleep when DH rocked her within 5 mins.
@ALV91711: @Silva: Hope you both have better nights!
pomelo / 5621 posts
@Adira: It is starting out bad. He went down easy and woke up half and hour later and has been awake going on two hours now. It is almost 9pm. I gave him motrin after he woke up and he is just about asleep now, he just keeps crying out. As soon as he is sleeping I'm going to bed, well after I finish my glass of wine!
@Smurfette: I hope the rest of your night goes good. It is going to be so much better when she is somewhere she can nap and spending less time in the car.
Isaac's baby room is starting to fill up again. There has just been three of them for a while. Today a new boy started and Monday another new boy starts. Today he napped under 2 hours and I bet this is why. Lately he naps at daycare 2.5-3 hours. So hopefully these new kids settle in fast and he goes back to long naps.

@ALV91711: Yikes! How was the rest of your night? Hope it was better!!
pomelo / 5621 posts
@Adira: He woke up a couple more times but did sleep until 6 today, so that was a win! But then he had an hour nap at 8:30 and now I don't know if he will take another nap and we are supposed to be going out this afternoon.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@ALV91711: Ugh, it's rough when Xander takes an early nap and then refuses his afternoon one. That happened last weekend to us and he ended up falling asleep for the night at 5:00!!! And then woke up in the middle of the night for a couple hours. Hope that's not how your day/night turns out!
pomelo / 5621 posts
@Adira: Luckily just after I wrote that he went down and slept for an hour.
We spent the afternoon at a friends and had an early BBQ. I'm hoping playing outside for a couple hours word him out so he sleeps well.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@ALV91711: Glad to hear he took a nap!! Hope your night goes okay!!

So happy, DH is getting back either late tonight or early tomorrow morning. I'm so exhausted. I don't know how you ladies solo parent every week. Today was the hardest day, Isaac was a crank. I think it is mostly due to this molar though. He has already woken up twice in two hours, but has gone pretty much right back to sleep. Hopefully he makes it through the night ok. But to be safe I'm going to bed early.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@blackbird: That's both exciting and scary!!! Good luck to you!!
@ALV91711: Hope Isaac slept the rest of the night okay! And good to hear your husband is coming home early! I know I wouldn't be able to manage solo parenting AT ALL!!
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@ALV91711: Glad you nearly made it through your solo parenting days! You bet that I make good use of DH whenever he is around Especially since I've been REALLY tired this pregnancy. I don't remember ever being as tired when pregnant with B...
@blackbird: Exciting days ahead of you!! Good luck!
@Smurfette: Good luck with fully transitioning to the new school today! I hope R will have a blast.
We had a long weekend but stayed mostly home and just took some day trips. It was awesome especially since I got to take naps nearly every day...

@blackbird: I would be freaking out! Excited for you though!! I had a good friend tell me this weekend she is about 11 weeks, another is starting TTC this month, and I was not at all jealous. Shocked me. I figured I would be so ready by this point.
@ALV91711: Glad your DH is back now! Hope you got some sleep last night.
@Pumuckl: Thanks! She let the director and the teacher hold her this morning. She hadn't met the teacher before, since her teachers don't get there till 8. But she started crying when I left the room. I got tears. I hope she is doing ok.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Xander does that (cry when I leave) and he actually is familiar with his teachers! I bet shortly after you left, she was fine! I guess you'll find out tonight at pickup! And I hope she takes a good long nap for you!!!
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@Smurfette: Ahh, I bet she's fine. Will they be sending you pictures of her like her old school did? Maybe you'll get an all smiley R photo soon!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@Pumuckl: Yeah I am going to email the director at lunch and how she is doing.

@blackbird: Eeeep is right! How exciting and terrifying at the same time! Good luck!!! We hope to not be far behind.
@ALV91711: So happy DH is home!!
@Smurfette: I hope R is having a great first day! I'm eager to hear the update from the director too!
We had a great weekend with Pete. He definitely had some meltdowns (that boy truly gets HANGRY at dinner time) but for the most part, he was so much fun. He's been sleeping well (although he did wake up for the day at 4:30am today, ooof!) and I love hearing him say "Ahh-ooh!" each time he wants to get up. He's been babbling the word mama a lot too, but he hasn't said it to me specifically. I hope it's coming soon!
He also was less of a wimp this weekend. My parents were able to convince him to go on the baby swings by bribing him with Cheerios. They joke that they're setting him up to have an unhealthy relationship with food ("You're feeling anxious? Here, eat a cheerio to feel better!"), which is probably true, but it did work! He was also brave enough to try the sandbox at the playground for the first time. Feeling proud of my courageous boy!

@QueensBee: Sounds like you guys had so much fun this weekend!!! Yay!!! And hopefully he starts calling YOU Mama soon!
So I totally experimented this weekend and made a dairy-free casserole for Xander! It wasn't actually that bad, though it definitely wasn't as good as a dairy-filled casserole. And then Xander wouldn't even try it, the jerk, even though I was eating it too! I just can't trick this kid into eating things!

The director said that she has been happy every time she has walked by the room today. She cried for less then a minute for the 1st teacher and then went to her normal teacher no problem. Yay!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Yay!!!! So glad to hear she's doing well and adapting to the new daycare!!! And hopefully she enjoys hanging out there a LOT more than the car ride! Hopefully you'll have no more late nights in your future!

Oh, we just found out that we have to pay back $8K in back taxes for our condo. I hate that damn place. We can only spread it over 36 months, so there is $300 a month we are out. Pretty sure that is the nail on the one and done coffin. I am so upset right now. Why can't we catch a break?

@Smurfette: Hope R does great. It's the boys' first day in their new classroom, and I'm so nervous about how they're doing and how they're going to handle the whole one nap at a set time thing. Good thing kids are so resilient, right?

@Smurfette: Holy moly, that is horrible news! I'm so sorry. Sounds like you need a post-lunch margarita...

I'm kind of late posting here, I guess I forget to look at spring 2013 baby stuff since I wasn't on Hellobee when I gave birth to my son, but I did have him in May 2013!
LO's name: Landon
Age: Turned 1 on May 13th
Weight: 25lb. 12oz.
Length: 25 3/4 in.
Number of Teeth: 6, but I'm pretty sure he's teething right now.
Clothing Size: 18 month shirts/onesies, 2T pants/footie PJs (which is ridiculous! But he's such a chunk)
Cruising, Crawling, or Walking: Crawling.
How many ounces of formula/BM/milk per day: 16 on a good day.
How many solid meals a day (and how much): A ton, this kid loves to eat. 3 meals and a snack or two.
Any Words: Just dada. He has said mama a few times, but I haven't heard it in quite awhile.
Milestone you're most looking forward to: Walking! My baby bump is starting to make it tough to carry him everywhere.
How's sleep going: Fine, he's always been a good nighttime sleeper and we finally have a solid nap routine.
Any plans for TTC: Yep, expecting his little brother in October!

@Mrs. Blue: totally eating a brownie (I brought in the leftovers from our cookout this weekend so I wouldn't eat them) but a big margarita sounds a lot better.
@wonderstruck: Welcome! I love his name!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Smurfette: Oh my gosh, that's horrible!!!! I'm so sorry!!! $300/month is a lot of extra money, so that BLOWS!
@wonderstruck: Yay, welcome!!! And is he really under 26 inches?? That seems short, haha. Are the 2T pants too long?? And what will the age gap be for your two boys? So exciting!!
pomegranate / 3791 posts
@Adira: Whoops, typo! 29 3/4. Sorry, he's trying to 'help' me type
They will be 17 months apart, just under a year and a half!
@Smurfette: Thanks =)
