I decided to tell my company at 13 weeks. At the time, I knew I would have a new manager four months later, starting in January. That person happened to be visiting our office the prior week, so I told him in person. Then I scheduled a call with the co-CEOs of my company the following Monday, at 13 weeks. (Neither of them work in my office location.) And then I immediately told my actual manager in person.
I work for a relatively small company and have a relationship with the co-CEOs, so I wanted to tell them myself.
I waited a few more weeks to tell people more broadly, and I didn't make an annoucement. I just told people as it came up. I think I did make a point of telling my direct reports though.
