@jaguar: Congrats!!!!!!! Did you get an elective scan? How far along are you? With my adjusted due (pushed back) I am 14 weeks and 3 days...I want to know the gender now!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@autumnlove: I had an elective gender scan, yup! $100 here in Sydney - page of photos, 15 min ultrasound (ours took longer, hehe) and a DVD of the whole thing! Very cool.
I am 16 weeks today!!

@jaguar: yay! A girl!!! That's so awesome!!!
@AprilFool: I think we'll probably have to wait until she posts on the blog! That's my theory on why she hasn't posted since Friday

Hey everyone! I was out of town all weekend with my bestie and MIA on the Internet. I also thought I needed to announce here and on the blog at least close together.
So, we are Team Blue!! We're really excited. It's a bit of an adjustment since I was really mentally prepared for girls, but I couldn't be happier! Now, I get to rethink names and nursery plans!
@jaguar: CONGRATS!!!! A girl will be SO much fun! I'm so excited for you!

@Mrs. Blue: two boys!!!!!! Congratulations love. What a blessing.
I was mentally prepared for the opposite too, so I totally get what you mean. Thrilled either way, but have to go back and re-plan now!
Ladies, I'm so excited and happy. Thanks for letting me share our good news with you! I just want this baby girl to be healthy.

@Mrs. Blue: Two little boys! Congratulations! It must be so exciting to know and to start thinking about boy names!
@jaguar: I am usually such a Type A/insane planner, but I am strangely okay with being Team Green. I don't know what's gotten into me! I know I already said it over on WB, but congrats again on finding our you're Team Pink!

Looks like I'm the next to find out! I wish I had made my appointment for this week haha!! I'm getting really impatient. DH is convinced it's a girl but everyone else (and me) thinks it's a boy for sure. Can't wait to see who's right!!!
I'm having nausea today which I thought I was done with
Has anyone felt any movement yet? I've felt some stuff that I think could possibly be baby but it's so hard to tell.
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@hergreenapples: Thanks love! Just think of the beautiful surprise you'll get for your efforts, come April. x
@sslm: I am hanging out for your appointment! I haven't felt anything. Well, I felt a sharp jab today after I used the doppler (maybe baby wanted a break?) but no flutters or movement. Sad face.
nectarine / 2591 posts
@sslm: I've only just started feeling consistent movement in the last 3 days and I am 19w1d. It's totally cool... feels like bubbles popping. No kicks yet... just flutters. Before that there was a few things I thought that maybe were the chickadee but am feeling it quite a bit when I'm not really moving around now.
How far along are you? Might not be too long now!

@AprilFool: I'm exactly 18 weeks today! I'm so excited to know I'm feeling baby
@jaguar: it's going to happen soon!!!

Hey guys- I'm wondering if anyone is noticing moodiness and how it is manifesting?
I sometimes feel like my emotions are out of control- I sobbed through an entire one hour meeting with my boss last week and could not get myself under control. Other times, I just feel so grouchy and angry for no real reason.
The big thing I'm noticing is that when I feel "off" for any reason, it becomes too overwhelming. For example, today I got a terrible headache that didn't respond to lying down in my office, drinking water, taking tylenol, or eating. I ended up leaving work early. I feel like usually (pre pregnancy) this is something I would have powered through- I was supposed to facilitate a group tonight. But after two hours with the headache, I was done, and left early to go home, sit on the couch, and order pizza.
Basically, I feel like a giant baby and am hoping for some reassurance that uncontrollable emotions and not being able to "tough it out" are side effects of the hormonal changes. I'm also really having a terrible time at work lately, so I'm kind of hoping this isn't the return of some depressive symptoms...

@sslm: So excited for you to find out!! You're so close!
As for movement, when I lay down at night and I've been still for a few minutes, I start feeling super soft flutters or pops. I can generally tell which baby it is because they are always on the same side during every ultrasound, so if it's more to my right, I know it's Baby A and more left if Baby B. I'm still anxious to feel more distinct movement and feel it more often, but I love my little butterflies for now.
@Silva: I think this is probably totally normal, but it doesn't hurt to mention it to your doctor. My personal philosophy is that with all the hormonal fluctuations, you can't help but be affected to some degree emotionally. For me, I just feel a bit more on edge than normal some days and I'm way more prone to tear up than I've ever been before. I know lots of women have told me they had huge emotional swings and crying fests, so I think maybe it's just part of the "fun" of pregnancy. Hang in there!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@sslm: I hope so!!!!
@Silva: I'm finding the more frustrations I have at work, the more emotional I get. It's telling me that my decision to slow down by Christmas and stop early is a good one. I don't want to stress myself, or baby, out. I hear you. x
@Mrs. Blue: I'm so jealous of your wee butterfly flutters!

16+2 belly shot! I feel big, but sometimes not pregnant - just fat. The ladies at work keep commenting on how big I am, which then freaks me out even more - sometimes I look down and just see my usual chub. Depends what I wear, I think.

Yay team blue, mrs. blue!!! That's perfect
I haven't felt consistent movement--I'm 19 weeks 4 days, but the u/s tech said I definitely should in about a week, based on where my placenta is (it's on the backside, between my spine and the baby). I've thought I felt stuff a few times, but it's gone before I can even pay attention to it. I *do* get these awful, sharp jabbing pains sometimes, especially when I sneeze.
@Silva, I've noticed that I'm pretty irritable. I can keep it in check, but I feel so damn crabby!

Hi all! We had our 15 week appt on the 2nd and all went well. We are scheduled for a level 2 ultrasound with gender scan on 11/28! That's only 3 weeks from today!! We are very excited.
Dr. said my GD was looking good and I haven't gained a full lb at all so they are pleased. My BP is still doing well with my meds so that's also good news!
So, all in all good stuff! Excited to know which team we are!
