@luckypenny: @Dandelion: Are we the only second time moms?
Any other second time moms want to chime in?

@LovelyPlum: I hope everything is ok. Spotting is scary, but can be normal. Either way, it is still freaky when it happens.

Hello April mommas. I feel like it has been forever since I've even read this thread. The beginning of the school year is kicking my butt with exhaustion and nausea hitting me with full force now.
This is now a few pages back, but thanks to @megz06: and @Dandelion: for the advice about telling my family. I really wasn't ready at that time, but my husband was really pushing for it since he wanted to tell his parents. It's kind of a long story but we had agreed long ago to tell my parents first. I did end up telling them this past week and it feels good to be able to talk to someone else about all this.
I'm so glad that some people in this thread are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. The nausea has come and gone and seems to be better when I keep eating which is just hard to do some days. I'm just glad I haven't had to run out of my classroom to puke. On the plus side I teach preschool and the three year olds are oblivious.
@LovelyPlum: I hope your spotting stops soon. That would scare me so much.

Thanks so much, ladies. I called and talked to the nurse, and she told me that I could come in if I wanted. As soon as I decided that I was ok with waiting until Monday, though, I freaked. So, moral of the story, they were able to move my Monday appointment to tomorrow at 10:30.
I'm sure it's nothing, and I'm overreacting. It's stopped now, but I'm super sore down there, too...kind of like I've just had a pelvic while cramping, but obviously I haven't. We also haven't DTD recently (sadly), so that's not it. I wish I could be calm about it, but the red scared me. So, back I go. I swear, these people have to think I'm nuts. But I'm glad for the reassurance.
I'll update tomorrow. You guys are the best

@futuremama: thanks I'm sure I'm being irrational and overreacting. But the thought of waiting until Monday made me so anxious, so I did it. I don't mean to be a psycho preggo; it just sorta...happened. Oh well. At least I won't spend the weekend worrying.

@T.H.O.U.: I'm a second time Mom too! This is my second pregnancy as I haven't had the misfortune of a m/c or any other loss. My LO will be 20 months when this baby comes Nights like tonight make very afraid of that!
@LovelyPlum: So scary that you are spotting! Glad you were able to get in tomorrow for some reassurance. I'll be looking for your update
I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and starting to feel the need to unbutton my pants at work! Not sure I have an official bump yet, but I'm certainly getting a little thicker around the middle. Blah.

@LovelyPlum: ughh I'm so sorry you have to keep going through this. I'm thinking about you Mama

@LovelyPlum: Looking forward to how your appointment goes today. Good luck
@Amelieisme: I'm lucky I get to wear scrub pants. I can't tie them anymore, but they still stay up and have a stretchy band, so I am happy. If I wear jeans though I have them unbuttoned most of the time.

@LovelyPlum: you're not over reacting. You're concerned. I'm sure the docs have seen real psycho preggos. You don't qualify.

@Amelieisme: @luckypenny: @nana87: @megz06: @futuremama:
So the appointment went pretty well today. He did a speculum exam, and everything looked good. I also got an u/s, and we could see the heartbeat, though baby was facing a weird direction. For a while, I was a little concerned, because baby wasn't moving, and I couldn't see much. But then all of the sudden, baby jumped! It was so cute to see. Made me feel a whole lot better.
We also decided today that we are going to do the NT scan, even though we weren't going to originally. It's probably one of the only times DH will get to go with me, and I want him to be able to see the baby!
Thanks for your support. I'm still sore, but I suspect that's both from the cramping and from the fact that I fell down the stairs this morning (wet leaves and flip flops don't mix). Overall, I'm much more reassured and glad to know that little one is OK!

@LovelyPlum: yay!!! I'm so glad it all went well and you got to see the little babe move!!

@LovelyPlum: glad to hear you got to see your wiggly LO. I fell down the stairs the other day too. Wet stairs, flip flops, and a dog chasing after a squirrel don't mix

@LovelyPlum: So glad LO is ok, and I hope you feel better after your spill down the steps. Ouch!

I'm feeling flutters! I think?! It might be cause I'm so recently postpartum, it might be in my head, but I'm sitting here, feeling squirmy like feelings in my pelvis. So early! Maybe I'm dreaming, lol.

@LovelyPlum: I'm glad your baby is ok! The stupid bleeding is the worst thing to go on, even if it's suppose to be normal. you'd think seeing blood should never be normal, but then again, we are female!
No more stairs! Take the elevator! lol

@Dandelion: yea!!! That's cool! I've had phantom ones because I know they are too high but still.

@luckypenny: @nana87: @futuremama: @megz06: @Dandelion: @jhd: thank you ladies! I was really glad to go in. It was really hard to see much clearly, because I think baby's back was to us, but he said everything looked good. So now, we trust
@futuremama: I was taking the dog out, too! This time, she wasn't pulling, but that's generally the cause of one of my falls, especially while running. Stupid squirrels. She's getting better, but good grief!
@Dandelion: flutters-how fun! I was just thinking today that it shouldn't be long. I'm excited!

I have been tossing and turning from being so anxious/excited that I didn't sleep well, and then DH got up at 4:30 to go to work, I was up with him and I've been up ever since! I'm gonna need a nap today, I think!

There's a little PERSON inside of me! Its little heart is just beating away! Doctor said it looks great! It's real, now!
And there's only one!
I'm measuring 10w 1d, though, so my due date is now April 10. I had a feeling I ovulated later since it took a while to get the bfp.
Little Thing was just kicking and wiggling away!
Now, I need a nap.

@Dandelion: yay, yay, yay!!!! That's so amazing and awesome. You're right behind me, I'm due the 9th
It's real. Hooray!!

@Dandelion: Yea what a great update! Will they still plan a c-section a bit early? Not sure if the new EDD would still make you a march or april mom!

@Dandelion: so glad your appointment went well!! hooray for a little person!

@T.H.O.U.: We didn't really talk about it today, but the plan is not to let me go past 39 weeks. But, from weeks 36 on, they're going to be measuring the baby each week, so if it get too big, it's out.

I told DS this afternoon! I showed him the ultrasound picture and asked if he knew what that was. He said, "S?" and I said, nope, this xray was taken today! Took him a second and said, "you have a baby in you right now??" Then he said, "I hope this one gets to come home with us!"
Then of course he asked if it was a boy or girl, lol. I told him we have to wait for that info, lol.
