@gilmoregirl: ohhh, I start Monday, and I totally hear you! I dont have super nausea (I'm really trying to keep food in my stomach), but I do have crazy fatigue--just knowing how tired I am usually as I get used to going back to work... well, I'm pretty nervous too. Deep breath, we'll get through this. Right?

@chibee: I know what you mean about wanting to be further along. I am trying to just look at a short term goal of getting to my appointment on September 3rd. 3 more weeks!

@cmbknyc: a little late, but I've had those pains too. I haven't had them for a little while, but I do remember getting them if I got up too fast.

@gilmoregirl: @Dandelion: I'm there with you. So sick all the time. Even with the Zofran, I'm now throwing up. Hang in there ladies.

@HazelEyes: not late at all, I like knowing I'm not alone

Does anyone else get constantly lightheaded? It is disorienting, and a little scary! I drink a ton of water, so that's not it. It used to happen right after I took my medicine, but I adjusted when I take it, so I don't think that is it. It is unnerving!

@LovelyPlum: I have quite a few times, especially getting up from sitting or laying down
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@LovelyPlum: I almost blacked out once last *time*. OB said it could be many things such as change in blood flow, low blood pressure, and/or sugar levels.
*ETA - I meant last time I was pregnant, not last night, oops

@LovelyPlum: yep happens to me all the time, usually if I've been doing too much or get up too quickly

Thanks ladies. I think it is a blood pressure issue. I have low blood pressure to begin with, and it does happen if I stand up too quickly. Sometimes it happens for no reason at all though...weird.

@gilmoregirl @Dandelion Oy MS is no fun. Hang in there! I had terrible nausea with my first that finally went away around 9-10 weeks.
@lovelyplum I got a little lightheaded last night bathing DD and haven't had a spell in a while. It was not a good feeling. I've got low blood pressure too (my "norm" is 80s over 60s) so I had to be very careful last time around with changing positions and not getting up to quick. Remember to take it easy and give yourself time to get up from a sitting position. My cardiologist also gave me a tip - cross your arms and legs when you feel lightheaded that is BP related to help bring blood back up towards your head & heart. It works every time.
@cmbknyc Thanks! And I see you are a fellow NYC'er
@mrsspadusa @nana87 Thank you!!! I'm excited and now very antsy for the much anticipated first appt.

@littleveesmommy: Thats a good tip for low blood pressure! Thanks!
Are any of you that are further along thinking about starting to take bump pictures yet?
persimmon / 1273 posts
@T.H.O.U. I have pictures saved in the What to Expect app, but I'm just seven weeks so they're pretty uninteresting. I think I'll like to have them for myself to look back on, but I don't plan to share on facebook or anything.

@hazeleyes It turns out it wasn't so bad! I was more or less fine during the day, especially because I kept crackers with me all the time. I have ginger chews that help some too. Now that I am home, I am exhausted and feeling nauseous, but the work day was okay. No students yet, which is obviously the real test. I teach 90 minute blocks, so I have no idea how I'm going to make it through without peeing. Eep.
persimmon / 1472 posts
@gilmoregirl: Thanks!!! And 90 minutes is a long time to go without peeing. I go about every hour (I drink a lot of water) even before BFP so I can only imagine it's only going to get worst. Can you excuse yourself?
Do any of you ladies drink coffee? I cut back to 1 cup a day a few weeks back and just wondering if I need to cut it out completely. I didn't drink any when I was pregnant with DD but now she's sprouting molars and I am all o_O
grapefruit / 4582 posts
@littleveesmommy: yay! Congrats and welcome I gave up regular coffee and switched to decaf. DD just got her 2nd molar too! I feel ya lol
@LovelyPlum: glad your appointment went well mama lightheadedness was my biggest symptom with DD. Luckily I haven't had it that much yet this time.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@littleveesmommy: thank you for the tip!
@gilmoregirl: I'm glad it went well! I'm in school and will have a similar problem-3 hour classes. Yeah, not taking a break is mot happening.
@luckypenny: thanks
eggplant / 11408 posts
@littleveesmommy: yes. Last two times, I couldn't stand it, but this time, I will take what I can get. Though honestly, Coke tastes better to me.
clementine / 811 posts
@littleveesmommy: yes I do. I cut back to one cup of half caff a day, but that is just in case something pops up later in the day that had caffeine. Like I might have a few days next week when I go back to work where I need a second half caff to make it though the fatigue.
@gilmoregirl: you are giving me hope. I have two weeks "without kids" but they always find out we are there anyway, then only two more weeks w kids before I *hopefully* kick the fatigue for my second tri. At least that's what I am telling myself.

@littleveesmommy: i love coffee - i used to drink at least 2-3 cups a day to get me through the day but i cut down to 1 in the afternoon. It's been pretty tough because i am now battling the extreme fatigue and without the caffeine kick i am basically dead at work from 2-5pm!

@T.H.O.U.: I am not far along (5 wks 3d today), but I am showing, so I was going to take some pics and see what everyone thinks since me, my mom, husband, and apparently my doctor are not convinced it is bloating. Guess I will find out in about a week and a half
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@megz06: Yes! Find a good before picture and take a picture now and let HB help guesss!

Hi ladies. How is everyone feeling today?
I am feeling strangely good today. Slept well again last night, had a good run and am feeling generally good. Naturally this is concerning in itself, haha. I did have my afternoon nap, and not that I wish myself to feel bad,... I guess I can't win. Maybe its just bc we had the appt yesterday? What about the rest of you?
