    @Mrs. Sunshine: Ugh it's so bad! I feel like there are a lot of things I generally wouldn't buy or want but now I want them all and I want them right that minute! I've been pretty good and have only given in to a few bad things so hopefully I can stick with my will power!

    @loki: Yes! Think I'm gonna have to go back to the store and get a big watermelon. I bought some already cut up and now I want more for tomorrow!

    @NeekieRose: Yeah, my LO is 13 months, so we are at slightly heightened risk. But we want to have 3 or 4 kids, so each subsequent pregnancy has more and more risk of uterine rupture or placenta problems with repeat c-sections. That's why we figure that we will leave it with the OB to make a recommendation, because we just don't have the necessary experience to make a decision like this. If I knew we were only having 2 kids, I would def get a repeat c-section, because it was a really positive experience and a great recovery!

    I could literally fall asleep on my desk today. Teething nursing sleepless baby + early pregnancy = snore.

    My mom is in town (visiting from very far away) and wants to buy me some maternity stuff next weekend. I'm thinking we can hit Old Navy. Those of you who have LOs, what's the top priority for maternity wardrobe pieces? My guess is a good pair of maternity jeans will be crucial.

  7. NeekieRose

    persimmon / 1386 posts

    @Rockies11: I want to have one more after this, DH says he could be done after this one. So not sure what the future will hold, but pretty sure no more than three total. My c-section recovery was so easy too. DH doesn't understand why I would even consider not doing another c-section.

  8. NeekieRose

    persimmon / 1386 posts

    @PawPrints: Jeans probably this time around. Honestly, I didn't really wear maternity jeans last time (maybe a handful of times), but I had DD end of Oct so it wasn't too cold by then. I got a number of tank tops and dresses. This time a few pairs of jeans and sweaters will probably be key since we will all be getting decent sized over the winter.

    @PawPrints: What is crucial is really whatever you regularly wear and are comfortable in. If you work and wear work clothes most of the time that is most important. If you are casual then, that is most important. This time around I plan on buying one pair of jeans (casual most of the time) and a pair of workout pants for work.

    I got the Ovia app. It's amazing!! Thanks for the suggestion!

    Super dumb question - the Clearblue weeks indicator turns 3+ weeks around 6 weeks, right?

    @SunshineMcC: ohhh good tip on the popsicles and jamba juice... that's a great way to try and get a few veggies in too. I will give it a go.

    @happybluebird: @loki: thanks for the suggestion - I got the app today!

    @neekierose: I totally had cheez-its today!

    @rockies11: I hear you on the exhaustion today - I went for my lunchtime walk, and almost had to find somewhere to stop and sit for a bit - and it's just PG for me, no LO outside the womb - kudos to you!!!

    oh man, the nausea is in full force today and I just went to the bathroom, thinking I was going to throw up. This. Is. Awful. One more hour until I get to go home. Am going to try a walk and some crackers. On the one hand, so glad I feel this way, on the other, man this sucks!

    @Rockies11: mine tested 3+ today at5w4d, but yes theoretically around 6weeks. I knew my hcg doubling numbers from two weeks ago and just counted forward, could guess that it would be 3+ last weekend sometime but waited just to be sure.

  15. Rockies11

    persimmon / 1363 posts

    @Banana330: I just realized that I have been wasting like 30 bucks every two days and an awful lot of worries, and I am 5w2ds, lol.

  16. Rockies11

    @SunshineMcC: I hear you on the nausea. I made the mistake of eating chicken for lunch (the nemesis of my last pregnancy) and I have been on the edge of the barfs every since. I think I have some diclectin down in the car - I may haul my exhausted self down there.

  17. SunshineMcC

    kiwi / 563 posts

    @Rockies11: what is diclectin? I've seen some mention of gravol+b6 as well. Does diclectin help you?

  18. Rockies11

    persimmon / 1363 posts

    @SunshineMcC: It's the first line drug for the regular nausea that you get in the first trimester in Canada, I am not a hundred percent sure that it's the same in the States. It's just an antihistamine and vitamin b6. It works okay for regular nausea and vomiting and doesn't have any side effects. With my last pregnancy I had hypermesis, so I was taking stronger stuff by about 10 weeks, but diclectin worked to take the edge off for sure! It makes me even more sleepy though.

    kiwi / 563 posts

    @Rockies11: Thanks! I have an appt on Friday so am going to check with the doc about it. So far the crackers and walk seem to have calmed things down this time. Here's hoping that you don't have to deal with hypermesis with this pregnancy!

    Hi Everyone! I've been gone a while - my appt is Thursday and I've been just so nervous about it that I took a break from the Bee. Trying to keep the nervs in check, but it's hard. But now, I'm getting all caught up and am happy to be a part of this group!

    @marionberry I am thinking of you and sending prayers and good energy!!
    @pawprints thanks for putting that calendar together! I am Team Green

    Any one else super bloated? I am 7 weeks today and have for sure gained 10lbs. I think it's because all I want is carbs and I haven't had carbs/bread for years. Lol! But seriously....I've got a gut!

    Anyone tried the Bellaband? Because of the afore-mentioned gut, I am thinking of getting one soon. My pants are already too tight!

  21. lulu22

    apricot / 306 posts

    @dancingbee: yep, hugely bloated here. I'm not sure if it's my body changing already or all the carbs or both. For now I am loving nice patterned pants with drawstring or elastic waists, which are perfect for summer....but I am definitely considering a bellaband too.

    I'm 8 weeks today and I woke up so so tired. How is everyone else doing energy wise?

    What does your pregnancy app say for you today?

    hostess / cantaloupe / 6486 posts

    @Astro Bee: congrats & welcome!!

    @Boopers: I'm only about 4 weeks & poor LO had to roll around for a good 20 minutes this morning because I literally could not open my eyes. I eas not this tired last time.

  26. loki

    pear / 1787 posts

    @Boopers: i felt so horrible and exhausted last night that i went to bed at 730! then struggled to sleep cuz of boob pain and nausea haha. so today i am feeling rough. i just checked and my pregnancy app has a chocolate gingerbread brownie recipe! hahahaha amazing!

    @Astro Bee: welcome!

    @Boopers: @Mrs. Sunshine: @loki: I'm pretty exhausted. We start bedtime routine at 7pm for DD and pretty much as soon as she is down (usually be 7:45), I have been getting into bed. DH makes fun of me. DD has been pretty great with sleep lately, but this morning she woke up at 4am and didn't really want to go back to sleep....so it's gonna be a long day.

  30. NeekieRose

    persimmon / 1386 posts

    @lulu22: all. the. carbs. That is all I want to eat. And not sure if its my body being quick to recognize what's happening or the carbs, but my belly is def getting bigger. Sigh. According to the scale I have not gained any weight yet, but you wouldn't know that by looking at my belly. Ha.

    Last time I was able to lose 15 lbs in the first trimester, but I don't think that is going to happen this go around...

  31. Mrs. Sunshine

    hostess / cantaloupe / 6486 posts

    @NeekieRose: oh geez! I hope your day goes better than you think!

    I can't wait to go to the doctor! I really don't know how far a long I am at all. The weeks estimator test said 1-2 weeks on Thursday but if you go based off my last period/my symptoms I'm possibly around 5 weeks. I just wanna know how far along I am! I'm starting to feel nauseous today which kind of makes me excited. (I'm sure I'll think differently when I start to vomit)

  32. loki

    pear / 1787 posts

    @NeekieRose: ya i was really gonna try to lose 15ish lbs in first trimester. that was the plan. but i am eating exclusively bagels. so that's likely not happening. and ALL my pants are too tight, i'm so uncomfortable. luckily my work is doing 2 weeks of casual so i can wear my stretchy jeans. phewf. also i am starting to think i might be one and done cuz i can't imagine having a little one when i'm feeling like this! haha.

  33. NeekieRose

    persimmon / 1386 posts

    @loki: It's not too bad with a LO! And really, the first trimester will be over before we know it and we will all be feeling fabulous! At least that is how it went last time. I truly forgot how crappy the first trimester was before the pregnancy was even over.

    @Astro Bee: welcome and congrats!

    @Boopers: Ovia says...eye pigment is developing! I am expecting a brown eyed baby (once eyes change colour after birth) but we are both carriers for blue eyes so we'll see!

    I've been feeling very drained. I wake up every night multiple times and struggle to fall back to sleep

    And I second (third? Fourth?) all the carbs. All I want is carbs and cheese. DH laughs at me because I used to have the biggest sweet tooth, but I've turned down ice cream for salty carbs. So weird.

    @NeekieRose: My lo has been waking up at 5am for like 2 weeks now. It's a killer! And I have gained a couple pounds already but the bloating is horrible! I swear I look 3 months pregnant.

  36. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

    @Astro Bee: congratulations and welcome!

    I have my second beta today. Then I should hear results of the doubling on Thursday. It's killing me to wait. I'm barely sleeping or eating because I've been so stressed out. Sept 2 can't come soon enough.

  37. NeekieRose

    persimmon / 1386 posts

    @marionberry: fingers crossed on the betas!

  38. Astro Bee

    Thank you all for the warm welcome.

    @neekierose I thought it was just me that was gaining obvious weight everywhere but on the scale. I'm the same weight, but my pants are tight, my boobs are larger, and my thighs are now touching when I stand up straight (they don't normally).

    I've also been super tired and going to bed hours before my husband. When asked yesterday what I wanted for supper I said baked potato, and whatever else you want to go with it. We had BBQ chicken and grilled peppers, but all I was craving were the starchy patates. Hubby has been great about cooking when I'm too tired, and doing the laundry, and getting up to feed the cats, and basically everything! Lol!

    @astro bee: welcome and congrats!

    thanks to whoever suggested cheez-its - I'm munching on them now. Yesterday was tons of nausea, so I'm hoping today isn't as bad - we'll see. We have a company outing to a baseball game this afternoon/evening and I'm not looking forward to dodging questions about why I'm not drinking! Luckily I'm driving to the game to set up the tailgate, so I plan to use that as my excuse!

    7 weeks today!

  40. HappyBluebird

    So I wished away my morning sickness/nausea and today I haven't had any.... so of course queue panic! Ugh now I'm hoping it comes back and I won't be so nervous. Completely silly, I know!
