@Rockies11: That's a bummer that you have to wait for the results. At my RE's office you got a call about 4 hours after each hCG test with your numbers. I think all of your signs sound positive so try not to worry.

@Rockies11: did you tell them you have long cycles and ovulated later? I wouldn't panic, especially if you know you have long cycles and aren't as far along as lmp would suggest.

Are any of you ladies already experiencing shortness of breath & a slightly stuffy nose? I didn't have a stuffy nose with my last pregnancy & I definitely didn't experience shortness of breath until LO was big enough to squish my lungs. This labored breathing is for the birds!

@Mrs. Sunshine: omg i didn't know stuffy nose was a symptom. i've had one for the last few days and thought i was just getting sick. and ya my breathing is awful. i'm COMPLETELY gassed after a flight of stairs, dh was making fun of me last night. everything seems to take a lot out of me.
today i am feeling horrible. so sick. and all i can effing eat is bagels. all bagels, all the time. sooooo sorry, LO, you are getting zero nutrition

@Mrs. Sunshine: yup, i've had the shortness of breath all three times. i'm winded just going for a walk.

@loki: ugh, i know how you feel. After feeling pretty good all weekend today my morning coffee tasted horrible. Looks like coffee will be gone for a while. I'm snacking on almonds and ginger snaps!

@Mrs. Sunshine: I've gone back and forth between a runny nose in the morning and a stuff nose at night! Also the shortness of breath took me by surprise.

@loki: Oh my! I'm feeling totally awful too. Last week I wasn't feeling well either but I think because I was on vacation and able to take a nap whenever I needed to helped. Now that I am back at work its awful. Nausea and indigestion! I feel awful complaining but I just feel so crappy right now!

@Banana330: I hadn't thought of ginger snaps but I might need to try those!!

@loki: @HappyBluebird: @Banana330: it's still early for me & I'm not sick yet but last pregnancy or any other time I've ever felt nausea baby carrots always help me! Also, preggy pops or sour candies

  9. HappyBluebird

@Mrs. Sunshine: Oh I love baby carrots, gonna try that out too! Thanks!

@HappyBluebird: i seriously napped on and off all weekend. my current problem is i'm a stomach sleeper and my boobs are KILLING i'm soooo miserable. i googled to find out how long this effing pain will last!!!! and it looks like for some it lasts all pregnancy it is making my sleeping very difficult so i'm not getting great rests, which is making everything worse, i think.

@Mrs. Sunshine: reading your sentence about baby carrots made me gag... vegetables are doing NOTHING for me right now. let's be honest, when did they ever? haha. but it's much worse currently. whaaat about preggy pops???

  11. Banana330

@Mrs. Sunshine: @loki: @HappyBluebird: Ya, single serve apple sauce really cold, cheese strings, goldfish crackers, watermelon and plain lays are all my saviours.

    clementine / 957 posts

@loki: I am also a stomach sleeper and even though I have sore boobs, I'm not having a problem. Probably because they weren't very big to begin with But they are getting bigger which is one thing I am not complaining about! I have been trying to teach myself not to sleep on my stomach but I find that I end up that way by the middle of the night. I think I might buy a snoogle and see if that helps!

@Banana330: Yum apple sauce and watermelon sound particularly tasty right now!

  13. loki

    pear / 1787 posts

@Banana330: @HappyBluebird: ya watermelon sounds amazing to me too right now!

@HappyBluebird: mine were/are huge i'm so sad, i hated them already, i dont' want them getting bigger. they're so awful. and SO painful. second time moms, please tell me this pain ends... seriously, walking hurts. i literally grabbed and held them walking down the stairs to the subway this morning. i didn't care who saw.

  14. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@loki: that sounds painful, I'm sorry! I hope someone on here has some good news about it letting up soon!

@loki: they sell them at the motherhood store at our mall. I'm sure you can snag them online too. They are just little candies with ginger & vitamins. They're all natural. A friend introduced them to me last pregnancy &they really helped me get through getting ready to go to work in the morning. I think they are officially called preggy pop drops. My friends husband even swears by them for hangovers! They are awesome

Gone for a few days and it looks like I missed a lot!

Welcome @delight: @Mrs. Sunshine:! Another second time mom here with an earlier than expected pregnancy. I'm glad to see a couple more to join @marionberry and me.

Nausea has kicked in hard core. Pretty much nauseous constantly. I was in a wedding over the weekend and almost had to bail in the middle of the ceremony because I got the worst wave and broke out in a cold sweat. Luckily the ceremony ended shortly and I was able to hold it together.

I think someone asked how you are able to do this again. Simple, the second trimester makes you forget the first trimester. Even though I remember that I was nauseous for about 8 weeks last time, I did not remember it being this miserable.

    @delight: congrats and welcome!

    @Rockies11: sending you hugs and

@Mrs.Sunshine: climbing stairs makes me super winded! I try to get a 20-25 minute walk in over my lunch hour each day and by the time I get back to my desk, I'm so tired I want to sleep!

@marionberry: @mrs.sushine: @pawprints: @timegoesby: @boopers: thanks to all for the feedback on cramping. They were bad at the end of last week, and then had some on Sunday, but nothing today. Symptoms coming and going are so hard!

@pawprints: thanks for putting the calendar together - so fun to see!

Sorry if the colors look weird - on my computer, the "Team Green" text looks green in Word and in the .JPG file, but after I upload it it looks kind of gray. Maybe I'll change to a bolder shade of green.

Anybody have any advice on how to deal with the afternoon sleepiness? Not sure if I'm overly tired from vacation naps last week or if this is just the new normal but by 1 or 2pm I'm so tired I feel like I need a serious nap!

  28. NeekieRose

    persimmon / 1386 posts

@HappyBluebird: Take a nap if you can! Even a 5 minute power nap helped me. And I'm right there with you. I was just thinking about putting my head down on my desk...

  29. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@NeekieRose: I guess some days I could go out to my car and take a nap. I could get away with the 5 minute power nap once in a while when I'm by myself at work but most days I can't sleep at my desk since it's in the middle of our office and everyone can see me!

  30. Banana330

    nectarine / 2317 posts

@HappyBluebird: fresh air? a few min walk (not longer or it makes me more tired) helps. As does cold drinks.

  31. NeekieRose

    persimmon / 1386 posts

@HappyBluebird: hmmm...yeah, a walk might work better then! I used to have an interior office so that if I closed my door no one could see me. Now I have a window (yah!), but that means I would need to close the blinds in addition to my door and that seems like a hassle.

  32. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@Banana330: @NeekieRose: Think I will try out the fresh air! And yay for a window office! Maybe I'll get an office at some point in the next 8 months and I can take secret naps!

  33. PawPrints

    pomegranate / 3658 posts

I'm seriously considering just working from home a couple days a week for the next month so I can take naps. But that doesn't help for the other days.

  34. Mrs. Sunshine

It wasn't like this with my first pregnancy but I am literally about to fall over from exhaustion with this one. I just can't stay awake. Or move.

  35. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@PawPrints: Thanks for doing this! Like @loki mentioned, our due dates are April 12th but I have my first appointment today so that may change. I'll let you know.
@HappyBluebird: I'm having the hardest time with exhaustion this time around. I try to catch a nap whenever I can, but it's hard with a lo. If you don't have an office you can nap in for a couple mins, go out to your car and set an alarm on your phone. I've done that when I only had a cubicle.

  36. NeekieRose

@lilyofthewest: @sunshinemcc: @happybluebird: thanks ladies! I'm happy to join the group!
@marionberry: thanks and yes sounds like you are in the same boat as me!
@windswept: thanks! Also, We were Team green the first time around and I loved the suspense and surprise at the end. We haven't made up our minds about this pregnancy but will likely go TG again.

@PawPrints: that calendar is awesome! The green looks fine to me, If windswept is the only one so far!

I was hoping to get blood drawn today at the doctor's because I had to take L in for her one year appointment. Unfortunately I thought the appointment was at 11am and it was 10am. Whoops. Pregnancy brain already? So I guess I'll just hold tight and hope all is going well until next week when I've rescheduled her appointment. The spotting has stopped completely.

@HappyBluebird: oh man the exhaustion hasn't hit me yet but I'm not looking forward to it.

welp. 6w1d and i just puked up my entire lunch. so that was awesome! can't wait for the next 6 weeks haha. but also kinda happy because... it's a good sign, right?!?!

  40. NeekieRose

    persimmon / 1386 posts

@loki: Oh no! I'm gonna hope for you that this is the only time you puke. First time around I only puked once, right around the 6 week mark. But yes, I agree that it's a good sign. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself too....
