@loki: We're going to name them Benjamin and Hudson - which I think pairs well with our son Jackson. It was actually pretty easy to pick names, surprisingly. I'll post a pic of my belly in a bit. It's hard to get a good pic while working that shows it. Everyone I work with says I'm tiny for twins, but I'm truly as big almost as I was the day I had my son. And yes, babies can hiccup at this age. Steady, rhythmic motions are often hiccups.
@banana330: Cribs are definitely a first step in things feeling real! Just wait until your entire nursery is done - then you'll just be anxious for baby to get here.

@loki: I felt hiccups for the first time the other day too! Even DH could see the small rhythmic movements he was making as he hiccuped
Omg you guys so many kids at my school in my grade level have gotten sick this week and have had to go home! I'm trying to stay on top of things and washing my hands even more frequently than normal. I hope hope hope I don't get sick! Aside from how miserable I'd feel, we are driving ten hours to our hometown on Saturday and I have my first baby shower on Sunday. Stay away germs!

@marionberry: Love the names too! All three go together so well!
@Boopers: Eek! FX you don't get sick for the holidays! I give the sink eye and pull up my scarf whenever anyone coughs or sneezes on transit!
@TravelBee: Welcome!

@Banana330: I'll update the calendar too. Were there updates from @everbee (4/23) or @infertilish (4/14) too? I had been tracking them from early on but haven't heard any updates in a long time.

@PawPrints: I haven't seen anything from them, but maybe they will reply.
I've added them to the list too for now.

@loki: so funny you were asking about baby hiccups, we were just talking about that at yoga today! I have not noticed them but a couple of the other girls have including one who is 26 weeks. Poor little dears, I hate the hiccups! And yet the idea of a baby hiccuping in your belly is oddly cute...
@marionberry: oh I love those name choices! DH and I have narrowed it down to two boys names but we have agreed we won't pick until we meet him.
I ended up doing the glucose test this afternoon. I wasn't planning it but my clinic has just switched over to the one-hour-no-fasting test so I figured I would do it while I was there. The drink was sickly sweet but ok, and I can't complain as I didn't have an empty stomach! Hopefully I pass and dont have to do the three hour test!
oh and it turns out the rash/veins on my bum cheeks are actually stretch marks. lol. How depressing! Guess my belly isn't the only thing expanding... my dr was surprised I had them on my bum and not my belly I guess all the belly balm I've been using has been working!

@lulu22: everyone always told me to put stretch mark all over my entire body!!! lol i did at first but just got lazy and only did my belly. I made it out with just 2 tiny stretch marks though so the cream has to work at least a little!! lol i have a friend who go them way worse on her bottom than anywhere else.

@Mrs. Sunshine: oh yay good to know! I'm going to start putting the belly balm on my behind as well!

@Mrs. Sunshine: @meredithNYC: @Banana330: @lulu22: Thanks for liking our names. Obviously we're big fans of them lol.
@lulu22: I was going to tell you they're stretch marks. I got tons on my butt and some on my thighs but none on my belly. They all faded once I lost the weight. Good news is that thus far they haven't reappeared yet - but it's still early. I put lotion on my belly, butt, thighs and boobs.

What stretch mark cream are you all using? I haven't bought any yet, and have just been using plain Jergens lotion. No stretch marks yet, frim pregnancy although I have a few on my boobs and a bunch on my butt from a crazy growth spurt in my early twenties when I finally(!) filled out. I was a late bloomer!

@Astro Bee: I'm just using Palmers. It's not tested on animals but also only like $5 a tube so I use it. Last pregnancy I started out using both Palmers and Bio oil but got tired of the oil after a while and just used Palmers. At least twice a day. Sometimes I'll put coconut oil on top of it because I usually just use that to moisturize anyway.
ETA: yeah my hips, boobs and inner thighs had stretch marks long before babies. lol

@marionberry: looove those names and they totally go great with jackson! so precious.
you guys are good, i haven't been moisturizing at alllllll... should probably start!
nectarine / 2317 posts
I got the Honest stuff, it's quite greasy but I realistically only remember to use it once a week, so I feel like it's super moisturizing. I don't have any stretch marks yetm but I'd be pissed if I did since I still only have an inkling of a bump! I do however have many stretchmarks on my hips from puberty, so I'm probably bound to get some!

@Astro Bee: I use baby Aveeno! It works really well and I can always steal from J's bottle if I run out.
apricot / 306 posts
@Astro Bee: I also use the honest company belly balm. I really like it. It's organic and smells lovely. I tend to use it after I shower at night, because as @Banana330 says, it's a little greasy so you probably wouldn't want to put it on your clothes over it, but I dont mind if I get some on my pj's! I plan to try their nipple balm too, once baby comes..

@Astro Bee: Someone gifted me a tub of Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter and I have been loving it. I've been trying to ration it and only use it every few days so that I can use most of it in the third trimester. I've read that most stretch marks don't appear until the very end of pregnancy so I am thinking it makes more sense to focus on those weeks. Then again I may just be lucky, my mom told me she never got stretch marks at all, and I've heard it is a genetic thing. (She does attribute that to her daily application of olive oil onto her skin, though - gross).
hostess / cantaloupe / 6486 posts
@PawPrints: my mom got a ton of stretch marks both times but I didn't really get any last time! Jessie sat way far back inside me though and I was very small. This baby like the front of belly. She has already made me jump about 20 times with the strength of her movement. I never had that with Jessie. I predict that even in my diligence with my cream, I'm probably going to get some stretch marks this time!

Hello lovely ladies. I sadly will be leaving you. As you know this has been a month of hell and I don't wish this decision making process on anyone. However, we are going to say goodbye to our little girl in the morning. Thanks for all your love and support. I'm confident we are making the right decision for our family and I'm so lucky for what I already have. I know DH and I will have another child one day and will love them to pieces. I hope all you April mamas have safe deliveries and great pregnancies for the next few months. Thanks again for your love and support, it really has meant a lot. Xo

@Banana330: Thanks for checking in on me! I updated the dates that I am having a girl:) This board moves quickly so it is hard for me to keep up but I love coming back and seeing how all you ladies are doing! I will try and be better at checking in:) Everything has been pretty smooth for me, working long night shift hours is wearing on me but on days off I feel pretty good!
@delight- I am so sorry you are facing such difficult circumstances. Praying for comfort and guidance for you guys. Hang in there..

Thanks everyone. While yesterday was a tough day to say the least, we made it through and physically I feel good. The worst part was after I woke up the hospital gave us a card with her tiny little stamped footprints. I'm glad to have them but it was very overwhelming. DH and I just looked at each other and burst into tears. I know it'll take time to heal emotionally but I am surrounded by friends and family who support me. Thanks for thinking of me.
@Mrs.Pinecone316: Do you mind updating the list so my name can say Delight #2 daughter Ava born sleeping 12/19/14.
Thanks unless that's too depressing to add. It's just hard to see my due date like that and I still want to come by and check in on you all sometimes!
