@JennyLayneAZ: This is the one thing I would love about being pregnant in the summer. I am so tired of putting on socks and shoes and pants all the time. Here it has been warmer than normal, which is still around freezing temps, so it is shoes and socks for me.

@auggiefrog: yeah we've been having record breaking temps in the 90s and high 80s. not a fan lol

Just following along. Growth scan is on Friday at 34 weeks. I can add to the gripe fest. Today I had to cut some work visits short because they didn't have A/C! My goodness it's so hot outside how can you not turn it on. My feet are swollen and I don't feel like eating eventhough I know I have to. When I eat I feel so uncomfortable in my back. Baby seems to be moving his fingers or toes individually as I feel little fluttering movements.

Thanks for the support everyone. The contractions stopped completely when I was finally able to lie down on my side so they're definitely just Braxton Hicks. But when I got up in the night to see to E, it started up again. Then once I was back in bed, nothing. Now, this morning, I've had a few. They're much less intense than they were yesterday - I must have been dehydrated. I don't think its anything to worry about!

@Cherrybee: Happy to hear you are feeling better! I'm drinking more water now too to try to prevent any complications - unfortunately it means I need to pee all the time.

It was interesting to see so many of our group starting to swell at the same time. My feet get more swollen as the day goes on and I really didn't have any problems till the very end of my last pregnancy with that. At my 32 week appointment on Tuesday my doctor said it's normal to start swelling up sooner with subsequent pregnancies.

@bloved: Thinking of you! At least the fluid level is down but I would be stressed too at the thought of having to add more doctor appointments/missing work. I hope your school is supportive and is not making you feel bad for taking time off. My work has been supportive but I tend to bring the stress on myself - feeling like I need to do more in the months leading up to the delivery since I will be on mat leave and not working/contributing then.

@Cherrybee: good to hear!!! I was worried about you. No one needs to go into labor this early! Let's keep these babies in the cooker!!!!

I agree, I also feel so puffy now and I literally was thirsty All Night! I drake so much water and it wouldn't tame my thirst.

@autumnleaves: I started swelling at 27 weeks. It was totally out of the blue! But now its every day, and it definitely gets worse as the week goes on. By Monday morning my feet/ankles look almost normal, but then work and sitting at a chair all day, and BAM. Huge feet. So attractive LOL

@AMommyThang: period cramps? That sounds lovely. I know you have a kid, are you having contractions? I would totally freak out if I were having period like cramps.

@Cherrybee: glad to hear you're feeling better!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I hear you on the A/C. Every day at work its a battle between me and my coworkers lol Its 90* outside you guys, we NEED the A/C on in here! It's freaking hot ok!?! And I have long ass hair and have to wear a cami under everything since my boobs are huge and I need the extra coverage, so cut me some slack people!

Anyone else following the March labor watch thread? I was just reading it and totally got all kinds of excited/nervous like it just hit me that I'm going to have this kid next month. Like I didn't already know that lol

@JENNYLAYNEAZ...This is my second one. With my 1st LO I never even experienced a contraction. I had a c-section at 39 weeks, it was honestly the easiest pregnancy ever. This time around I get contractions everyday they are just never consistent.

I've been going back and forth on rather I should call my Doctor? Everything I read online said it's normal and that it's just your body preparing for birth.

@AMommyThang: oh I understand now. For me, my Braxton hicks don't hurt. They feel uncomfortable but not painful. So, for me, the description of period cramps would make me call the Dr. But you're closer to your edd than I am to mine lol

@AMommyThang: seriously. I have 6 days of work over the next week and a half before I start leave. This little mean makes me hurt and my belly is so hard most of the time. A standard 8 hour day, with lunch and commute, take 11 hours.

@JennyLayneAZ: yes! I get so excited reading the March board. It makes it seem like our babies will be here all that much closer! @AMommyThang: sorry you are not feeling great! I hear you. This pregnancy is so much harder than my first. You're so close though!

Thanks ladies, I literally feel like I am falling apart. I can barely drive because I cant breath and I start getting light headed. New symptom today is INTENSE pain (probably round ligament pain) on my left side, I can barely walk. As much as I would love for him to want to come early with him being breech I feel like it's highly unlikely that I'll go into labor before the 28th.

Just had my 34 w appointment along with a growth ultrasound. Baby is estimated 5.5 lbs and heartrate is 132 bpm. Only thing is the baby's heartbeat is irregular. I will visit a high risk pregnancy ultrasound place next week. Dr. Google says the cause is caffeine and typically the heart corrects itself after birth, but sometimes the mom has to be induced.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: what?! how much coffee to you have daily?
@AMommyThang: Right there with you girly. I don't feel well at all. It's just survival for the next 6 weeks

Who's technically due first? I think I am one of the last for the month. I know it is too soon to wish for one of us to go now, but wondering if we have any borderline March mamas!

@jh524: Lately, I've been drinking a Short or Tall Flat White, so that contains 1 or 2 shots of espresso. Other days I'll have a small or medium (can't finish it, but the cup is better) of regular Dunkin Donuts coffee. I have a caffeinated beverage four times a week and typically it's just the morning SB or DD, but every once in awhile I'll have a small 16 oz Coke or Iced Tea with lunch. A couple hours before today's appointment I had a Tall Oprah Chai Latte. Knowing that I caused this sucks. Every single one of my doctors told me coffee was fine.

@bloved: yes!! we need an updated due date list
@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I'm sorry! I'm sure everything will be just fine but geez what a worry ! I've been drinking about the same, a 12 ounce coffee everyday & occasionally a half calf or decaf coffee. my doctor also said coffee in this amount is fine and only problematic when ALOT is consumed. Are you going to cut back or stop all together? When is your appt.?

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: thanks for the update list!! I'm delivering April 11th

  23. Mrs. Lemon-Lime

    wonderful pea / 17279 posts

@jh524: Yes, I'm abstaining from all caffeinated beverages here on out. I will still drink my Raspberry Leaf tea to help with toning my uterus because it's caffeine free. The other thing Dr. Google said is that the murmur is prevalent in women with GD. I didn't develop GD, but I am an overweight mama-to-be. The appointment will be scheduled on Monday for sometime that week. Sooner the better though; I already had a good cry about it.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I'm sorry you have to deal with this. Are you sure it's the caffeine that caused this? I drink coffee everyday too. I wouldn't beat yourself up over it, Dr. Google isn't always correct.

  28. bloved

    persimmon / 1114 posts

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: just reread your post and I seriously doubt you caused it. I would think it would take an excessive amount of caffeine! I am sure these things can just happen, so definitely don't be hard on yourself!

  29. MaisyMay

    GOLD / cantaloupe / 6703 posts

@bloved: I should be a March mommy. With my EDD of 4/6, but being diabetic, we will induce somewhere between 3/24-3/30 (38w1-39). I am so ready for it at this point. Except the fact the his room isn't ready. Once that is done, let it happen!

  30. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

@MaisyMay: Yes, I'm so happy I will be induced this time too! I fought it so much last time!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Please dont think you caused this. Its just one of those things. E was born with a heart murmur. It wasn't picked up on any ultrasound but it was there after birth. I was so scared.... but it resolved itself in her first few weeks of life with no intervention and she was strong as an ox from the get-go.

@bloved: I wonder if BandDmommy has had her baby yet. She usually goes at about 36 weeks. I wish we knew

  31. Mrs. Lemon-Lime

    wonderful pea / 17279 posts

@Canoli: @bloved: @Cherrybee: my doctor didn't say the cause and I know it's common enough that baby likely will be A-ok soon enough like E. It's just one of those things when your partner has been trying to police everything you consume because it's on some list somewhere and you ignore your partner because your actual doctor says screw the lists! Whether caffeine was the cause or not I'm living a real life side effect. DH didn't have to say "I told you so," for me to feel worse on top of being concerned for the tears to flow. I appreciate your support though!

BandDmommy was really good about keeping up with this thread. I hope she and baby #3 are doing well.

Ha! I am so ill-prepared for this baby to come. I'm supposed to get a new car this week and will finally install the car seat. Yesterday, I just cleaned out the bag we will use for the hospital bag, but it still needs to be packed. I should probably wash the baby clothes we have on hand. Now that we know what's going on with the move I'm ready to buy the rest of the gear. Quick shipping is making me super lazy. LOL

@Cherrybee: @Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I was thinking about banddmommy as well. I wonder if there is some way we will get an update. I really hope she and baby are doing ok.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I hear you! Sooooo unprepared! We have done literally nothing for baby #2 yet. I am making dh go to buy buy baby today so we can look around and get the odds and ends we need (or at least figure out exactly what it is we might need). I saw on your other thread you are moving. We are in a similar position. We are waiting to hear if my husband is going to be transferred out of state, so I think that is partially why we are dragging our heels a little...I am not sure we want to buy a lot/set a lot up if we are going to move in a couple months. But on the same token, baby has to sleep somewhere!!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I just wanted to pop in and say that I'm sorry you have to worry about this. Having your hubs say, "I told you so," and policing everything doesn't help either. My husband policed all my food after my GD diagnosis (he's diabetic too) and there was more than one occasion that I cried (like my birthday) because he made me feel so guilty for wanting to go a bit overboard. I'm sure your baby will be just fine.

  34. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

@avivoca: Is he super strict with himself all the time?

I feel totally unprepared too. My house is a bloody building site. The kitchen reno is finished but it still needs painting - the paint is in the dining room but DH isn't doing it aaaaagh. The wallpaper is stripped in the hall, stairs and landing but DH isn't working on that today either. No, he's sorting out the garage. Aaaaagh. Everywhere I look, there are tools and half done jobs, and I cant just do the jobs myself because it gives me bloody Braxton Hicks. Sorry ladies, just sounding off.

@Cherrybee: No, just when it comes to his kids.

  36. Cherrybee

@avivoca: That's really annoying. You'd think he would understand how hard it is....

  37. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

@Cherrybee: He generally does. I was short last time because I was super hungry. His diabetes is well controlled and he's had it for more than 20 years, so he knows more what he can and can't have and in what quantities. He was really paranoid about t with me because I essentially only had it for 10 weeks and it was kind of like baptism by fire. He was also worried about the higher risk for a big baby and a forced c-section.

  38. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

@avivoca: My mum has had it for 20 yrs too and Ive always been so hard on her for making the wrong choices. I only had it for 8 weeks myself, last pregnancy, and it was impeccably controlled, and so I became even harder on my mum. This time, I was diagnosed at 16 weeks and it turns out that doing it longer term is really, really tough. It seems like every day you're sacrificing, every choice you make is a difficult one. I'm much more sympathetic to my mum now!!

  39. avivoca

    watermelon / 14467 posts

@Cherrybee: I imagine that it is harder! I'm asking for an early test this time because I've already had a couple of days where I ate a high carb meal and felt like garbage afterward. Turns out my glucose was 150 nearly 2 hours later! You are so close to the end though! I hope your husband brings you the tastiest, carbiest thing you have been craving when you deliver.

  40. Cherrybee

@avivoca: I'm going to be so fat 3 months pp because I have a huge list of things I neeeeeed to eat - burger, chicken burger, sausage roll, pizza, cheese on toast, curry with naan bread, chippy chips, cheese and onion crisps and alllll the wine!
