@littleblessings: I always get annoyed when my SO doesn't tell people. He basically made me get on facetime and tell his mom. I'm sure his sister has a clue!
@ValentineMommy: I'm sure everything is okay! A lot of growing going on. The exhaustion is no joke....
grape / 93 posts
The exhaustion is SO real. The moment I get home from work, I sit on the couch for HOURS. I have no energy for anything. I'm so thankful for my DH stepping up and taking care of things. I can't wait for the second trimester because I hate feeling so exhausted all the time.
We haven't told anyone. It's kind of fun having this awesome secret between DH & I. We have a doctors appointment this Thursday and after that we plan to tell our families. I have no idea when I plan to tell work, but it won't be for awhile. Probably the end of October, beginning of November.

The exhaustion has been killing me too! This last weekend I let myself have caffeine again for the first time since the start of the TWW and OMG it is amazing. I still feel pretty tired but I feel like I can push past it and do stuff. Most productive day at work in a loooong time...

@psw27: The exhaustion is so awful! I basically fall asleep on the couch after work every afternoon and wake up with one or both of my kids faces right in my face asking me "mommy, what are you doing?" Lol! The pain from earlier went away pretty quickly, but I'm left with some residual sciatic pain...so I'm hoping it's just the growing/stretching. Considering this is my third child, my body is probably so stretched out, maybe it's just popping into place early.
@mrswilson2012: Man, I HOPE the exhaustion goes away in the second trimester. With my first pregnancy, it was there the whole time!

@ValentineMommy: Oh that's right, you have LOs so you know everything is growing and changing quickly! I keep thinking to myself "I wonder if it was this bad last time" and then thinking, well I didn't have a toddler then! I could sleep til 7:30 and make it to work by 9 and come home at 5:30 and sit on the couch! Now its rush, rush, rush!
@JennyPenny: I'm due April 26th now

@ValentineMommy: the pain you were having is partially the reason my OB urged me to go to ER. The rest of it was because the pain started in my right hip area and shot down there. It hurt so bad I was crying. Everything ended up being okay. They suggested more liquid intake. I guess it helps with the pain.
@psw27: yeah we have known since mid-August and I told him to tell them. It's so annoying getting questioned when they should have known already. I remember last time though we did tell them together and it was a great experience with a lot of celebrating!
pomelo / 5220 posts
@littleblessings: aw well I hope they do something fun! We had to tell everyone on facetime but it was really sweet and everyone was excited! Of course, I feel like garbage so I think they are all a little worried about me! My dad is like "you need to be on medication" hahaha... no dad, this is just what happens sometimes!

Anyone else planning on getting a NIPT? We are having ours drawn on Thursday at our 12w1d us. We plan on finding out the sex. @JellyPenny: It's exciting to think that list will soon include

Guys, I'm dying over here. This morning sickness is so much worse this time around. I feel like I'm about to throw up most of the day. I threw up breakfast this morning. I can't handle any cooked veggies. Almost yakked eating broccoli. Rice and peas was a no go. I ate carrots and hummus ok earlier though. But damn, this sucks.
Sonogram is this Thursday am. I'm very anxious and nervous! The 2 losses I had last year really affected me and I'm terrified this pregnancy won't stick.

@psw27: Oh, I know!!! I get up super early for work and it's been so tough!!! Once I get home, I am a wreck! Luckily, DS2 just started walking, so he's keeping himself busy. DS1 monitors him and tells him what he can and can't touch, like a little policeman lol. They definitely keep my hands full.
@littleblessings: ugh, that sounds terrible! Luckily, my pain only lasted a few seconds then went away. Afterwards, I was left with some sciatic pain. Not sure why that's happening so early this time, but I'm praying that everything is ok and it doesn't last the entire time!
@yellowbeach: Me! Mine should be in a few weeks, maybe 2-3. They do it anywhere after 10 weeks in my office. We did the test for DS2 as well.
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I'm sorry you're so sick!!! And I totally understand the anxiety after a loss. For me, it doesn't really go away until I'm holding that baby in my arms. Hopefully, the scan will put your mind to rest though!!!

@psw27: I can't edit my post, but I've edited my list so it'll be fixed next time
@yellowbeach: @ValentineMommy: Wow, so exciting to find out early. I won't know till the anatomy scan, but we are definitely finding out.
@abbydabbydoodlebug: keeping all the fingers crossed for you that your appointment goes well. At least extreme nausea is a good sign...
pomelo / 5220 posts
@yellowbeach: I'm not doing any sort of early testing this round! It would be an out of pocket expense for us and I can wait 8 more weeks til my anatomy scan to find out. We are on the fence about being team green this round, so it is still TBD if we find out!
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I'm so sorry. I am right there with you. I was sick at work in the morning and got sick the second I got home last night. I hope your US goes well, I"m sure everything is progressing nicely. As horrible as sickness is, some say it is a sign of a healthy pregnancy!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@JennyPenny: My older son is dying to find out. I don't think he would let me be team green, even if I wanted to! Lol! Also, since we have two boys, we literally don't need anything (other than another crib) if it's another boy. He would have a nursery already made for him. If it's a girl....we're going to have a whole lot of buying to do!

Yikes, I'm the first on the board?! @jennypenny: I've also moves up a day to April 2nd!
I've been exhausted, and yesterday and today I came down with not only allergies but a head cold as well. Luckily Zyrtec-D is safe but for the cold, there isn't much we can take!
We've told the entire family as of yesterday! My mom was so ready to share the news, but we are witholding from social media until next week. We have family pictures on Sunday and were incorporating and announcement into it as well! I'll post with blurred faces when we get those back! As for work, I told my boss and everything was perfect, all three of my teams know so now I'm so ecstatic I don't have to keep a secret anymore!

@mrsmacSLP: Whoohooo!!! Are you out of the 1st trimester already (or really close to)? It stinks being due the end of the month - I feel so behind!
apricot / 308 posts
@yellowbeach: thanks! It's SLP doesn't feel real though!
@valentinemommy: depending on what you follow is first trimester (12/13 weeks) I'm out or almost out! 12 weeks 2 days today. We'll have family photos on exactly 13 weeks and our photographer releases photos FAST. She did offer to keep the announcement ones for us to release as long as we tag her, we promptly agreed!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@mrsmacSLP: So excited for you (and super jealous!)!! Can't wait to see your announcement!
nectarine / 2648 posts
@ValentineMommy: I was thinking about that (being #2 on the list) and hitting many of the milestones first with @MRSMACSLP - at first I was wondering if we would annoy or freak people out with our "early" posts but then I thought about how I am just as excited to see all of the USs, announcements and milestones for the crew due at the end of the month. The other factor is that some people (like me) did IVF or are high risk and have had extra monitoring, so it may seem like you are "behind," when in fact you are right on track

@yellowbeach: Basically, I just hate the fear associated the first trimester. Anxiety is the root of all my problems lol!
pomelo / 5220 posts
@mrsmacSLP: woohoo! So jealous you are at 12 weeks already!
@ValentineMommy: I'm at the back of the bus with you! 9 weeks tomorrow....

@mrsmacSLP: I noted the change! And I think it's great being the first of the month. I was with my last due date board (also due on the 2nd of the month) and especially as due dates came near I totally felt relief that I only had like 1 week left while others had 5!! So we'll all be jealous of you for a while

@mrsmacSLP: Congrats on being out/or almost out of the 1st trimester! and @ValentineMommy: I hear you on the 1st trimester fear. I hate it!!
I feel so close yet so far to being out of the 1st trimester woods. I had some spotting/cramping around 9.5 weeks and ending up going in for an u/s and rhogam shot - everything was ok but now the cramping is back at 11+4 and a tiny bit of spotting. I'm just not handling the fear and waiting very well. I have my NT scan on Friday, so unless it gets worse I'll just wait until then to see if things are ok

@yellowbeach: I think the hardest part for me is I really don't know what to expect out of pregnancy. Apps and websites can tell me only so much, and half never applies to me (which is great in some ways!). I'm a first time mom and I freak over everything, but nothing feels real at the same time!
@PSW27: you'll get there! It went so fast!
@Jennypenny: thanks! We'll see when March/April comes around!
@cordie: keep us updated!
nectarine / 2648 posts
@mrsmacSLP: I totally agree. If you look at the list, most of us at the top are first time moms. It's like everyone shoved us in the front seat of the rollercoater and is snickering from safely behind
apricot / 308 posts
@yellowbeach: Hahaha, you actually made me laugh out loud! It's so true! When my original due date was March 21st I felt safe and nestled between all the second and third time mommies!

I'm going to take a second to complain. I feel like I would be perfectly fine if my gagging would stop. I literally gag like every 20 minutes of every day. I'm so annoyed with it. It's nearly impossible to hide that I'm pregnant now! Ugh!
nectarine / 2460 posts
@yellowbeach: @mrsmacSLP: I think it's fun (beginning of month or not) to follow along with the previous month's board to see what's coming next. Hopefully all us 2+ moms will also remember stuff from last time that can be helpful too, even if we haven't yet gotten there this time around
pomelo / 5220 posts
@mrsmacSLP: aw that's true, the first time is much different than the second. Of course I feel completely different this time but also not as anxious in some senses! Us 2nd (and 3rd) timers are here for you!
@yellowbeach: lol no snickering! Mostly I'm jealous that when you feel like crap on a Saturday you can lay on the couch in peace! Hahaha
pomelo / 5220 posts
@littleblessings: ugh I'm sorry! Have you tried sucking on peppermints? That helps me... At least it masks the smells that usually make me gag.
pear / 1739 posts
@psw27: that makes me gag more. Anything in my mouth, smells, talking, dry mouth, anything. It's the worst.

I'm having a mini freak out. With baby number 2 I will likely be having a c-section unless the baby is less than 7 pounds. Which means staying in the hospital longer and being away from LO for a few nights. It may seem silly but I tuck LO in every night and at some point in the night he comes to our room and snuggles with me. How did mommies or two or more cope when leaving LO1 to have LO2, etc.?
persimmon / 1188 posts
@bubblegum: I am preparing for a possible repeat c section and longer hospital stay also. I think I'll ask my parents to stay with my LO so he'll be ok. They've watched him overnight before. Maybe you can have your LO stay with a family member for a night to start getting used to it.
pear / 1717 posts
@MOMTOLITTLEB: Well I'm going to have DH stay with him overnight only because I want him to have one of us there with him. But I just can't help but feel sad that I won't be there.
pomelo / 5220 posts
@bubblegum: I'm not anticipating a c-section but I am also very worried about the logistics of leaving my son. I had him 6 weeks early and I am so worried that we won't have anyone available to watch him or stay with him if I go early. We have 0 family members living within 8 hours drive of us. Ideally my mom will be here and can be his person - but no guarantees of course. Sigh... No advice, just also worried.
pear / 1739 posts
@bubblegum: I figured that out luckily. My kids will stay with my dad and step mom. If they fall through then SO will have to be home with the kids.
pear / 1717 posts
@psw27: Oh no! That's nerve-wrecking. Hopefully your LO won't come to early this time around.
pomelo / 5220 posts
@bubblegum: It really is... we have friends so hopefully they can all be on call! But I am being seen by MFM this time so hopefully this little one cooks the whole time. Last time, I called my mom at midnight, and she was here by 4 p.m. on connecting flights no less - thank goodness for airline miles!
