@abbydabbydoodlebug: that's frustrating about DH! Mine still has the attitude that things can get done once the baby is here. Ha. But we are doing g pretty well on our to do list. I've also stopped looking at it during the week since nothing gets done.

@JennyPenny: I lost exactly what you described with DS1 a few weeks before having him....he still made it to his scheduled csec. Hopefully, that's not the case for you and it sounds like the doctor agrees!!! So exciting!!!!!
@yellowbeach: Whoohoo! She's made great progress! She's so adorable!
@lilteacherbee: I can hardly stay awake at this point. The exhaustion is serious, and now my nausea is back. Ughhhh 3 weeks to go!
@abbydabbydoodlebug: Mens priorities are a mystery to me. My DH is always doing exactly the opposite of what I think is important lol!
Last night I got my DS's Easter baskets ready just in case DD decides to make an early entrance (my csec is 3 days after Easter). Lord knows DH would have no idea what to do, lol! So, I think besides the freezer meals that are never going to get done, I'm almost ready for baby!
I've started having super vivid dreams and nightmares, as well as night sweats (yuck) this week. And the past two nights, I've been waking up having contractions! I need more sleep!

@abbydabbydoodlebug: I know what you mean. We have to work around DH's month end and quarter end craziness at his job, too. It really limits the time he has to get things done around here.
@ValentineMommy: I wish I could get more sleep too. I had a dream (nightmare?!) last night that I delivered this baby during rush hour while stuck in gridlock traffic.
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: Oh boy 🙄 Glad he's starting to realize that it will be here so soon! We're pretty much ready because I told DH I wanted most things done before I got super uncomfortable. It was hard to get him moving at first, though!
@ValentineMommy: Oh, that's a good idea. I should get their baskets ready too so I don't have to think about it later! I'll only be 36.5 weeks, but I guess this little girl could come early (I've never gone into labor before my 39 week c-sections though).
pomelo / 5220 posts
@ValentineMommy: I should probably go ahead and finish up DS' Easter basket too! I've purchased everything just need to stuff the grass in there and put a few eggs with treats in! Good thinking!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@MapleMoose: EEK! That would literally be a nightmare for me lol. My nightmare involved DS2 dying...but he was my little brother in the dream (it was him, but I referred to him as my brother and he had a different name). SO weird. I've been having a lot of anxiety over something going wrong at my csection, so I'm assuming that's why....but it was awful.
@lilteacherbee: @psw27: Just one less thing to think/worry about! I'm not about to leave it up to chance or DH lol!

@ValentineMommy: I've now added prepping Easter basket to my list for tonight
I lost another bit of plug again this morning. But I'm way less crampy than I was yesterday. That could have just been from the cervical check though.
grapefruit / 4213 posts
@ValentineMommy: Oh my gosh! Thank goodness it was just a nightmare. You'd think we'd be so exhausted that we would pass out cold and sleep all night. Must be these pesky hormones!
@JennyPenny: So exciting, you could be the next to go into labor!!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@JennyPenny: Yes!!! It only took a few minutes to put the basket together, but I feel much better having it done. Even if she doesn't come early, it's just one less thing for me to think about. And EEK to losing more plug!!!!!!! You might be the next to go!!!!!
@MapleMoose: I know, it was awful!!! My hormones MUST be ramping up, because I'm having awful night sweats and contractions at night as well. I had the worst night sweats with DS1 (ick), but didn't have them with DS2. I was hoping to skip them again! Lol
Should we start a labor watch thread??????
nectarine / 2460 posts
@MapleMoose: @ValentineMommy: It'd be pretty crazy if I'm next since there are so many ladies so close to their due dates already!!!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@ValentineMommy: Oh man, the night sweats I usually don't have them until after the baby is born, but they are terrible those first few weeks! I'm also having a bit of anxiety over the c-section. I think because it's my third and I'm worried about complications. I'm also nervous because both of my boys had trouble breathing at first. DS2 had to have the NICU team come evaluate him, but they decided he only needed observation in the "special care nursery" for about an hour while they were stitching me up.
@JennyPenny: Exciting!! Fingers crossed! Can't believe we haven't had any more babies in this group yet!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@lilteacherbee: I had them SO bad after DS1 for the first few weeks. I can only imagine how it's going to be since I have them already lol! That's exactly what's making me nervous - the third csection. I wasn't nervous about the last two, but now, I keep imagining all the things that can go wrong.
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@ValentineMommy: Yeah, I didn't freak out the last two times until I was walking to the OR and then again while getting the spinal tap. After that, they gave me a cocktail of meds and I was nice and relaxed. I'm trying to remind myself that the odds are still super high that everything will be okay.
pomelo / 5220 posts
@ValentineMommy: @lilteacherbee: oh man the sweats are the worst! I had them so bad with DS. My sleep has been complete garbage but not too sweaty (yet). I do wake up with my shirt yanked up so the bump is free and cool. I just feel like a stuffed sausage in all of my clothes and need air! I can't wait to get home and get into my pajamas ASAP.
@JennyPenny: It is pretty crazy that its March 28th and we only have 1 baby so far!

Had an appointment today. My OB doesn't do a cervix check until 39 weeks but he is doing a membrane strip on me next Tuesday if he can and if baby isn't here by then. I seem to have come down with a cold though.
Anybody else's LOs super clingy? Mine have been excessively the last two days.

I walked over an hour and a half today after a full day of work (I was supposed to go half days but that isn't happening) and I can't get him to budge. Pllllleaase baby boy we're ready and momma is done!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@psw27: hopefully the sweats will stay away for you!!
@littleblessings: OMG yes. DS2 has been incredibly clingy and lovey - and he's normally very independent!
@mrsmacSLP: you're almost there!!!!

@littleblessings: My 3 year old is a wreck! He's been bad for bedtime for awhile but he's been super emotional lately. Last night he kept coming into our room for kisses and snuggles...at 2 and 3 am! His teacher said he was in slow motion today, probably exhausted.
pomelo / 5220 posts
@littleblessings: I hope you feel better before the baby arrives! I'm so glad you've made it this far!
@mrsmacSLP: almost there mama! That's a lot of walking, you must be exhausted!

20 more days but it feels like 20 more years at this point. I feel too big to do anything.
pomelo / 5791 posts
@bubblegum: Same (well, 21 for me, I think)! It feels like an eternity.
DS1 has a horrible cough and a fever. I'm praying I don't catch it - I really can not handle being this big and pregnant AND sick!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@littleblessings: My 3 year old is usually very easy going, but he's been a handful lately (whining, not listening, etc.)
@bubblegum: 36 days for me and it feels like forever! I feel hugeee already and my back is killing me. I have things each week to look forward to, so hopefully that will help time pass quickly.
@ValentineMommy: Oh no! Hope you don't catch it and he's better soon!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@lilteacherbee: Thank you!!! That's what I need - things to look forward to each week to make the weeks go by faster. I have no idea what that could be though!
pear / 1717 posts
@ValentineMommy: Yes! The longest time of my life man.
Oh noooo! Poor little guy. I hope he feels better and you don't catch it!
@lilteacherbee: Omgggg I hope it speeds by for you!! This is the time during your pregnancy where time legit stands still
pomelo / 5791 posts
And man, I forgot to mention.....the HEARTBURN. It's literally going to kill me it's so bad the past few days. Going to ask the doc about it today and see what I can take....cause Tums is NOT cutting it anymore. I'm taking as many as I possibly can at this point. Lol, DD better come out with Rapunzel hair
Anyone else?
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@ValentineMommy: Well I have my last growth scan Friday, so I'm excited to see her again. Then, DH and my sister are both teachers and on spring break the same week, so hopefully I can plan some fun stuff (at the very least, I'll have some help with the boys!). Then, Easter, etc.
@bubblegum: Thanks! And yes, it was going by so fast until recently and now I feel like it's draggggging. Last pregnancy/last baby, so I don't want to wish time away too much, but I'm so tired and uncomfortable!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@lilteacherbee: Exciting!!! The best I've got are two playdates this weekend (provided DS1 is feeling better), the following week my dresser should be ready for the nursery, and then Easter. I keep having this nagging feeling that I'm going to go into labor right before or on Easter...which I hope is not the case!
pear / 1717 posts
@lilteacherbee: Agreed!! Well at least fingers crossed it doesn't get more uncomfortable for you.
pomelo / 5220 posts
@bubblegum: @ValentineMommy: @lilteacherbee: I keep hoping that once the calendar turns to April I will be more excited and feel like time is moving quicker. 28 days for me.... although after the pretty painful contractions I had from 3-5 this morning I was sure it was almost time. I made it to 36 weeks though! Phew! Massive sigh of relief.
Off to the doctor to see if there is any progress and make sure this guy is head down.... fingers crossed!

@psw27: Good luck! I have a doc appt at lunchtime for the GBS swab...fun. Lol!
nectarine / 2460 posts
@ValentineMommy: My heartburn has definitely ramped up lately, but not as bad as yours Hope you get some relief soon.
@psw27: Yay for 36 weeks! Good luck today!
Last night around 2am I had some serious contractions and an even more serious craving for peanut butter toast. I got up to have some toast and start timing the contractions, and of course they completely disappeared! Oh well, I was hoping to make it through today at least because I have a hair appointment over lunch and it'd be nice to actually get to do that. I used my registry completion discounts yesterday to wrap up all the things I think we need for #2 which isn't much. So once I've had my haircut I'll be completely ready!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@ValentineMommy: I can't wait to see what your dresser looks like when it's all finished! My glider is supposed to be here next week and my best friend is making a wall decal with her name. All of the newborn clothes are washed and put away...just need a baby!
@psw27: Yay for 36 weeks!! Good luck at your appointment!
pomelo / 5220 posts
@ValentineMommy: @bubblegum: @JennyPenny: @lilteacherbee: Thank you! Saw my midwife and she said everything looks great. No cervical check (they don't check again til 39 weeks) but he is head down. She said that I should expect the contractions to ramp up in intensity over the next few weeks so that'll be some fun in the middle of the night. I also got the GBS swab, lovely! I can't believe how close we all are!! Woohoo!!
grapefruit / 4213 posts
@bubblegum: I'm stuck in the time drag too. Only 14 more days because they moved my due date up at the anatomy scan!! I'm SO ready.
@ValentineMommy: Ugh, the heartburn. I told my doctor that I was maxing out on Tums everyday and she told me to take Zantac. I got the large bottle of the generic version at Costco. I believe it's 150mg of Ranitidine every 12 hours. Now most days I have zero heartburn or just a minor episode.
@psw27: Great update!
pear / 1717 posts
@MapleMoose: OMG!!! Aren't you lucky!!! Even though I'm sure those two weeks are going to feel like a lifetime for you.
grapefruit / 4213 posts
@bubblegum: Each night I have regular contractions but they always taper off after a few hours. The doctor says I'll go early so that's adding to my impatience!!
nectarine / 2460 posts
@MapleMoose: Same here. Contractions every night that disappear after an hour or two. Dr implied I was gonna go early and so now I have even less patience.
But... I did lose another big chunk of mucus plug today... so we'll see....
