@ValentineMommy: @psw27: my OB said it could be a sign of labor. SO and I can't DTD anymore so I decided to give the cookies a shot a couple days earlier.

@mrsmacSLP: Ahhh 42 weeks sounds like forever! Hope baby comes sooner for you!
@ValentineMommy: What was it like going early with a c-section? My boys waited until their scheduled dates at 39+4 and 39+3, but I'm kinda nervous about going early this time! I'm scheduled for 39+1 and I hope she stays in!

@JennyPenny: I'm sure I'll be pregnant for like 3 more weeks now. My mom just changed her flight to tomorrow so now he won't come. I can't believe everything died off for you... Although I guess I can since these babies do what they want. Grrr.

Haha you ladies are funny! I didn't realize no one else is thinking they might make it that long! I finished all my work today, I still work tomorrow but it's kind of pointless. We just got our tax return so I paid all the bills early in addition to scheduling my leave in the two programs I'm required to do! Any time baby boy, any time.

@mrsmacSLP: I promised myself I wouldn't complain if I ended up hitting 36+ weeks but I've never dreamed that he might be a May baby or I would go 7+ weeks longer than my first. 42 sounds like forever! I hope you don't get to 42!

Last day of March! Can't believe we only had 1 (super) early baby so far!
@mrsmacSLP: The few times I've thought "what if I go past my due date" I've just dismissed it cause it sounds like way too long to be pregnant, lol! DS1 was born on his due date, so I figured that'd be my cut off
For me, all labor signs have stalled. No painful contractions overnight which is a first for a while. I think I've gotten to where I can mush my belly around and figure out position and I'm pretty sure he's still breech. I'm grateful my body seems to be showing it knows how to handle stuff, but I'd like it to handle everything by flipping baby back and getting going

Since we've decided to take a "we'll see what happens" approach for this baby, I have a feeling that I might go into May since my doctor let's his patients go to 41 wks. Wah. I'm praying I'll go into labor spontaneously because I'd really rather avoid an induction. Dh wouldn't mind having a May the 4th baby though, lol. He's a nerd.

@JennyPenny: Yay for last day of March! I feel like March was never going to end... only 13.5 hours until the April babies are officially in their due date month! (at least here on the east coast)
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I hope you go on your due date, it's my birthday! Was your first early/late/on time?
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: Haha yes, you can join me in the May 4th club Hope you go earlier than that, though!!
nectarine / 2636 posts
@psw27: I was late with my first! I went into labor on 40+5,but it stalled. Induced on 40+6 overnight and needed a c section on 41 week because of various reasons. She was face up, large head was crooked in my pelvis, was not responding well to pitocin, and I started spiking a fever and I never got past 4.5cm.
@lilteacherbee: I def hope I go earlier than 41 this time too! Ugh, I don't want to think about being pregnant for that long this time around.

I need to find something fun to do this weekend. Otherwise I'm just going to spend the whole time trying to turn baby and worried about what's gonna happen at my dr appt on Monday. We don't currently have anything planned because at the start of the week, I honestly didn't think I'd make it this far.
pomelo / 5791 posts
@lilteacherbee: it was less stressful, actually, because there was no anticipation. I went in at 4:30, they tried to send me home a few times (I had prodromal/non productive labor for 2 weeks), but at 8pm my ob came in and said I had dilated some. He was born at 9:30pm. The only difference was, I threw up once after I had him, in recovery, because I had eaten something that afternoon. But other than that, no real difference!
I caught ds1's dry cough and MAN, it's killing my body. It feels like my ribcage has expanded well beyond capacity and I might explode soon. I have no idea how to handle another few weeks of this!!!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@ValentineMommy: Good to know! That's true about the anticipation- that's usually the worst part. I've never actually had a single contraction So I feel like I'd be lost and clueless if I actually went into labor!
@JennyPenny: Hope you're able to have a little fun and relax this weekend!

I had my last growth scan this morning at 34 weeks. She's measuring about a week ahead at 5 lbs 10 oz. It was kinda weird walking out of MFM knowing it was my last appointment there- 3 babies in 3.5 years and ultrasounds every 4-6 weeks for each one! I have one last blood draw for my antibody, but the levels have always been super low and not an issue.
They say she has lots of hair and chubby cheeks, so we'll see
nectarine / 2460 posts
@lilteacherbee: look at those cheeks! Love that you can see her hand up there too!

Last day of work finished! Then I came home and mowed our 1/3 of an acre by push mower. Doctors appointment on Monday.
@lilteacherbee: THOSE cheeks! So sweet!
nectarine / 2636 posts
@lilteacherbee: aww, those cheeks! Love it.
We got our dresser today! Now I can wash clothes and have somewhere to put them. I washed all the sheets, bouncer cover, pnp cover, etc yesterday. I need to put those away. DH is doing a garage sale tomorrow to clear out the rest of our junk. Our sprinkle is tomorrow too,so I feel like after this weekend/week we'll be pretty much set, aside from some other stuff we need to get off our private registry. Finally feel like we're getting somewhere!

Happy April! I can't believe we're here
I think I may have successfully flipped LO back head down last night. I'm gonna spend the day making sure then bring on the natural induction methods!!!
nectarine / 2636 posts
@JennyPenny: fingers crossed!
I had a dream I went into labor, but didn't know it! The hospital called me and asked why I wasn't there yet and I was like, what? So I was running around the house packing my bag. Lol.
nectarine / 2460 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: How cool would it be if the hospitals actually had us on monitors in the final weeks that could tell them (and us) when we're in real labor!?

Happy April 1st to my April mamas! I hope that if anyone goes into labor today that their family believes them!!

When I went to bed last night I was so sure the spinning babies stuff worked, but this morning I'm thinking he's breech. Must have flipped again overnight
pomelo / 5220 posts
@JennyPenny: seems like he has los of room to flip, so maybe he's just waiting until labor!

I'm so excited April is here - can't wait to meet each of everyone's beautiful little squishy, sleepy babies.
I had said I wasn't going to do any professional photos, but after the hell of a delivery we went through, I decided to splurge. Glad I did. It was a great experience. Now wishing I had done maternity photos... does anyone else have newborn photos planned?
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@JennyPenny: @mrsmacSLP: @abbydabbydoodlebug: Thanks! Can't wait to kiss those cheeks!!
@yellowbeach: She's beautiful! I'm a photographer, so YES! Newborns are my absolute favorite type of session. I've gone a little crazy ordering props/headbands/etc for her!! We're pretty much going to be doing photos allll the time
I had a newborn girl last week and one tomorrow and it's got me even more impatient!!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@yellowbeach: we have family/lifestyle photos planned once she arrives, which we did with ds2, as well. It's more our style, as opposed to newborn only pics. Though the more I see them, the more I wish we were doing both lol!
nectarine / 2460 posts
@yellowbeach: aww such a cute smile. We have newborn/family photos planned. Loved them with DS1 and we have the same photographer lined up
@mrsmacSLP: happy due date!!!
I wish they made home ultrasounds so I could check baby's position. I keep second guessing what I'm feeling now...
pomelo / 5791 posts
@yellowbeach: I forgot to comment on your pics - shes gorgeous! Looks like she's growing great too!!
@JennyPenny: does your babe get hiccups? Mine does (at least once a day), so that usually gives me an idea as to where she is.
nectarine / 2460 posts
@ValentineMommy: not very often. I actually googled to see if I could cause them somehow but it doesn't look like it
apricot / 308 posts
@yellowbeach: oh she is just so sweet! We also scheduled newborn and mix lifestyle photo shoot.
@JennyPenny: thanks! I'm still couch surfing with no signs. I've got an appointment tomorrow morning, and maybe an IKEA trip after (that should put anyone in to labor!).
nectarine / 2460 posts
@mrsmacSLP: I feel like I remember the boards have something about spending a lot of time on concrete floors (like Lowes and maybe IKEA?) kicking labor off so maybe it will for you
pomelo / 5220 posts
@yellowbeach: so adorable!! I'm hoping to set something up but I've been slacking. I should that tomorrow!
nectarine / 2649 posts
@mrsmacSLP: Are you getting more nursery/baby stuff at IKEA? We don't have one locally (closest one is >1hr away). I'm dying to go, but my wallet knows it could be dangerous.
apricot / 308 posts
@JennyPenny: that's what I heard too haha. I have an appointment first so I figured they'd tell me if it's not safe.
@yellowbeach: I am planning on getting a shelving system for our closet so baby can have our dresser which isn't big enough for us. Buuuuuut you never know what you'll find! The IKEA I got to is an hour + away depending on traffic but my appointment is halfway there so I figured I may as well since I'm no longer working!

I'm pretty sure I just had my first contraction. For five minutes and I don't think it was Braxton hicks because every time I moved it kept going. Usually when I've had Braxton hicks it stops.
nectarine / 2460 posts
@bubblegum: Did it hurt!? If you go into labor do they just bump up your c-section?
pear / 1717 posts
@JennyPenny: I fell to the floor! It was super painful. With DS I labored in my back and it was a medically induced birth so I've never felt natural contractions. Yeah it would be an emergency c-section but of my pelvis size
