@JennyPenny: Losing your mucus plug is a good sign! I bet it won't be too much longer for you. Are your contractions mostly in the same area? Sometimes mine are more BH, entirely in my abdomen. But other times I have back pain that wraps around to the front, which is what my previous labor contractions felt like.

@MapleMoose: Ugh!! LUCKY! I wish I was getting some type of sign of going early. I'm already 37 weeks and ready to go!

    @JennyPenny: ANOTHER PIECE?! NO WAY!

@MapleMoose: I've had BH type tightening that doesn't hurt more or less constantly the whole 3rd trimester. The contractions I'm having at night hurt and usually start at the back and then wrap around too. Those are the ones I'm counting as "having contractions" but I only end up having a handful at a time.

@JennyPenny: this sounds like what started for me last night. I had some "wrapping" contractions for about an hour and a half this morning but now I've gone back to just annoying BH all day long.

So my DH seems annoyed whenever I say I'm going to go early.... Clearly the longer the baby stays in the better but I just feel like there is no way that I'll go another month!

@psw27: I think my DH is getting annoyed with my updates too. I keep telling him "this happened, so I bet its soon" of course it hasn't happened yet so I bet he thinks I'm crying wolf or something...

@JennyPenny: haha I didn't even tell him that I've been having BH all dang day... I think he's just panicked that it will happen before my mom gets here (Monday!) and we will be jammed up for child care.

Well, I had my growth scan today! Baby girl was head down, facing my back, so in a good position. She had her face covered and wouldn't give us a look at her face, but we did find out that she had lots of hair! They guessed she weighed 5'14'' and said she was in the 39th % and my doctor feels good about going for a vbac. So it feels good to have a plan (sort of!) and I'm glad she's not measuring too large like my first. Also, super happy to hear she's in a good position too, also unlike my first. Lol. Had my GBS swab like all the rest of you this morning and totally forgot until I got in the room and saw the sheet laying there, doh. I hate pants-off appts at the end. My doctor is out of town for the next 2 weeks and told me (well, mostly told DH!) that we aren't allowed any funny business so I don't go into labor until he gets back! Haha. He is selfish and wants to deliver this baby himself. My DH wasn't happy about that, but it wasn't like he was getting a lot of action anyway!! hahaha.

I also just spent the afternoon engaged in a giant brain dump to my other half at work, so she can take over all my things while I'm out. She's only been back from maternity leave a few weeks herself so its a bit of a crazy time here. There's definitely more I could wrap up but if I didn't come back to work tomorrow it wouldn't be awful.

Nesting hard today. Deep cleaning the house and continuing to unpack. I'm halfway done already. Worst part will be the living room/kitchen and those are next.

i also had my GBS/36 week appointment today. The baby has been head down for weeks and of course as of today he's now sideways/transverse. I've been doing the "forward leaning inversion" a few times today, apparently after 3 days of doing it theres a pretty good success rate of getting the baby head down again. My next appointment is next tuesday and they're going to do an ultrasound to see if he's head down yet. if he's not then we have to talk about either manually turning him or planning a c-section.

@MissLace: I was super worried about this myself, but the internet reassured me that 2nd+ babies can flip really late and often don't turn head down till after labor starts! But I hope he turns for you sooner than later.

I'm feeling quite frustrated. When I'm standing it feels like labor is going to start any minute. Tons of pressure, cramping and tightness. But when I'm sitting or laying down, I feel just fine. No indication that anything is happening anytime soon... Sigh

Another rough night over here. Lots of painful contractions starting at 4 am. They've tapered off a bit now. I'm losing my mind a little and I'm stressing DH out with the "is it happening" scares. I think I've cried three times today and it's only 8 am. Pregnancy is hard!!

How are you guys doing? Anyone else emotional/not sleeping?

@MissLace: I hope baby decides to get back down there!

@littleblessings: I'm so impressed by your energy to get this stuff done!

@psw27: yup, I'm not sleeping either, especially as of the last week. Tons of weird pressure and BH contractions both during the day and at night. I'm also super thirsty in the middle of the night and have been drinking 2-3 bottles of water throughout the night...which just makes me wake up even more to pee...

  14. psw27

    pomelo / 5220 posts

@MissLace: ugh. It's brutal and certainly doesn't help make the days go by any faster! That is a LOT of water to drink over night, you must be up every hour!

As painful as I'm sure everyone's contractions, I'm seriously jealous that I show no signs at all of going in early. I have 19 days to go and NOTHING. I was late with DS and even though DD is scheduled, it's only one day before my initial due date.

    nectarine / 2460 posts

@MissLace: @psw27: Lacking sleep here too. Painful contractions, peeing, just plain insomnia. I've started dreading going to bed cause I know it's going to be rough and frustrating

I'm in the waiting room for my final kidney ultrasound. I doubt anything has changed and I'm not even that excited for a peek at baby cause I honestly thought he'd be here by now. I should stop having a pity party and enjoy it. I did just lose another big piece of mucus plug - seriously how big is this thing!?!?

    nectarine / 2636 posts

@bubblegum: you're not alone! I only had a little bit of labor contractions with my first and that was at 40+6! I was scheduled to be induced the next day.

I'm not expecting any labor with this one either, but i would seriously be estatic if I went spontaneously into labor! My mom had to be induced with 4 out of 5 kids, so I'm not hopeful.

@bubblegum: Don't feel bad, I'm due Sunday and I have no signs either! The midwives kept saying with my high stress job he'd be here by 38 weeks...haha yeah he has a mind of his own apparently!

    pear / 1717 posts

@abbydabbydoodlebug: Good to know I'm not alone. That freaking sucks!!!! I had DS and 41 weeks and 2 days I was beyond over it.
@mrsmacSLP: No way!!! Have they talked induction with you?

At the doctor again. Contractions are every 2-3 on the monitor. Waiting for a cervical check. Eek!!

@psw27: YESSS!!! We need an update ASAP!

  22. psw27

@bubblegum: contractions are legit but my cervix is almost completely closed. Sent home to rest and hydrate and see if they go away.... But doctor said it's anyone's guess what happens from here!

  23. JennyPenny

    nectarine / 2460 posts

@psw27: Exciting! I hope they turn into something

@MissLace: Well, my previously head-down baby is breech again too. So I guess I'll be joining you in the forward leaning inversions....

Baby's kidney is still enlarged but stable, which is what we expected. And he's still big! The US tech had fun watching his cheeks jiggle and took this picture of his rolls. She estimates 7lbs 4oz at almost 37weeks.

@psw27: Ugh! Frustrating. I wish there was less variability in labor. It'd be so nice if it started the exact same way and followed the same patterns for every woman so we could just know!

@psw27: Not sleeping well at all here either....and I really need it!

@bubblegum: FWIW, DS1 was content to stay in until my csection. DS2 was scheduled for 1 day before my DD, and he didn't make it (he was 38w6d). Hopefully, you go at least a little earlier!

    @JennyPenny: Ahhhh more pieces!!?!?

@psw27: EEEEEEK! Updates asap!!!! Good luck!

@ValentineMommy: Fingers crossed! I honestly would just be okay with the 15th instead! A nice Saturday that way I don't spend so much of the work week (DH will work while I'm in the hospital) in the hospital

  28. littleblessings

@psw27: I had a miracle night of a really good sleep before I had the energy boost. I haven't been sleeping lately and have been biting the kids and SOs heads off every chance I get without meaning to. Had some pretty intense contractions from 6pm yesterday to 8 this morning and then nothing. The "is it time" is bothering me too. Just when I get ready to go to the hospital it stops.

With as miserable as I have been I'm thinking about trying my cookies really soon. They gave me diarrhea last time but I've had that the last 3 days so I'm not sure it would even matter at this point. Beyond frustrated.

@littleblessings: Ugh, I hear you on the diarrhea. My body has been "clearing itself out" for the past few days. Blech.

@JennyPenny: @bubblegum: it's funny you guys are like come on baby and I'm like please stay in there! I just want my mom to fly in first. Plus I really want an April baby haha. It's so frustrating to not know what's happening or when it'll be real. I just slept for 3 hours straight so I must have been exhausted.

@ValentineMommy: @littleblessings: um yeah the diarrhea is happening over here too.

  31. bubblegum

    pear / 1717 posts

@psw27: YES!!! I'll take it now! I'm just sooo drained already but realistically I need her to stay in until April 14th at least

@JennyPenny: whats with our ninja babies moving around so much?! here's hoping they both go head down and stay there in the next few days!

  33. JennyPenny

    nectarine / 2460 posts

@psw27: I'm especially anxious to get him out since he's measuring so big. He's the size my DS was (born 40 weeks exactly) already so another 3 weeks of cooking/growing sounds terrifying! But I was pretty disappointed to find him breech this morning...

@bubblegum: NOPE! No induction date set. The midwives I have let us go until 42 weeks. I secretly wanted a March baby, but he's going to hold out.

@psw27: stay put baby! Let Gramma and Grandpa get there first!

@bubblegum: good gravy I know right?! I am hoping for a 4/10 baby now. That's my husbands and my 15 year dating anniversary and only 1 week overdue.

    pomelo / 5220 posts

@mrsmacSLP: omg 42 weeks?! Ouch. I hope he comes soon!!

@JennyPenny: ugh you must be so disappointed and frustrated considering all of the signs you've been having. I'm sorry he flipped. (you too @misslace) hoping they flip back for you both!!

@mrsmacSLP: Awww that would be perfect!!

    nectarine / 2460 posts

@psw27: yep, that about sums it up. But its weird because I also haven't had any contractions all day and all the crazy pressure I've been feeling is gone too. So its like both body and baby changed their mind...
