@pui: This whole time I thought BRU was another baby store. Like for months I've wondered what BRU is and considered googling it, just never got around to it.... I just figured it was Canada's Target. I feel like an idiot now.

@BakerBee: Haha! FYI "Canada's Target" was called Zellers... but it was replaced by Target pretty recently!

@T.H.O.U.: Can you change the name later? I tend to use my dog's name in these scenarios so I guess I should be a little more creative.
ETA: Just did this - I made up a fake name and it looks pretty easy to change it. Thanks for the tip!

@swurlygurl: Yea I know right! We easily had about $2k worth of gifts and purchases through BRU.
I still think it may be worth it this time. I think your own purchases count, so I'm just putting stuff on there that I think or know we will be using.

So excited to get the mail today, I think my shower invites were mailed on Saturday! It should show up today

SO's mom wanted to throw me a shower (It's her first grandbaby) so .... I'm having one at their place at the end of June. Wasn't going to register either but people kept asking what we needed so I just gave up & did a small one at BRU.
I'd be so much more comfortable with a sip&see after baby's here. Not that I'm trying to sound ungrateful, because I'm really really, not, but that way the focus is on baby, not my stomach & I can have an effing drink. >_<

Most people on the guest list should realize its for me, but it may not click for some relatives since its my married name. Oh well, people will call/email the host if they're confused

I had my shower over the weekend! It was great, people were very generous and we had a lot of fun (beautiful weather!). I think there are really only a few more things I need for baby now! I spent last night trying to organize everything, but I still have a ways to go on that front lol.
For the most part I got great/useful things (one of the guests gave baby a piggy bank already filled with some change... what a cute and clever idea! Totally going to remember that one next time I'm invited to a shower lol). I did also get some stuff I really don't need... and of course people never include gift receipts *sigh*.

I had my shower this past Sunday. It was just a small gathering with close friends and family since it's my second baby. No registry and no games. I got a lot of cute girly things like clothes and towels and swaddle blankets. It was a lot of fun. My mom did a pink and lemons theme. The favor was a jar of pink lemonade mix.

My shower was this past Sunday - my MIL and my sister hosted (my sister did all the decorations handmade!) and it was fun! A bit overwhelming because i don't like being the center of attention but i was so grateful to everyone! The theme was jungle/safari.

Here are a few pictures from my shower last weekend. No real theme but they stuck with the colors from the invitation which were blue/teal, orange, and yellow. I wish I had more pictures of the decorations! They hung a clothes line with baby clothes along one wall and had tissue paper clouds with rain drops showering over the gifts. The shower was at my house which was great for 'transporting' gifts after, but a lot of work pre and post party
My husband won't let me take the diaper cake/golf bag apart he loves it so much!
