@MrsADS: My NT scan was at the hospital. Here only specific locations can do this scan as it is more specialized.

@lil owl: I'm so sorry you're getting hit so hard, I can't even imagine being in your shoes. You are one tough cookie! I really hope you start to feel better soon and I hope this flu passes quickly.

@MrsADS: My NT scan and genetic testing are scheduled (a week from Monday) with the MFM office at the hospital. My doctor's office doesn't do the genetic bloodwork, and they said the hospital's ultrasound is much higher resolution. They said they might send me to the hospital for the 18 week ultrasound also.

@lil owl: Hope you feel better soon!

@lil owl: oh no! I hope you are feeling better soon. When did the HG go away with your first pregnancy?

I'm having a tough day. I had to switch my office with LO's room (since it's bigger and she will share after LO2 graduates from our room) My mom just got here yesterday at 5pm and we had two hours to do it all. I didn't lift anything exceptionally heavy but the bending a lot really did a number on my back/hips. I had bad back and hip problems in my first pregnancy, starting second tri and getting progressively worse. I was later diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease. Mine have been at that level sinec 7 weeks and last night I was in such agony I could barely move and woke up DH in my sleep with my yelps of pain. I feel somewhat better this AM, but sleeping last night was worse than trying to sleep at 9 months pregnant. And now that I know that I have an actual BACK PROBLEM I am terrified that I will only be like this for the rest of my life. That is not a life I want to live. I'm just miserable and feeling so down about it!

I'm super late to the game-- I've been lurking for a couple of weeks.

    Location: Outside of Pittsburgh, PA
    EDD: August 10
    How far along: 11w + 5d
    First child? Yes! So excited!
First doctor appointment: Jan 9. I was only a little over 9w but I got to hear the heartbeat on the doppler. Had an US at 6w because of some spotting but everything looked good.
Any symptoms so far? Nausea. It went away for two days this week and I thought it was over, then came back with a vengeance.
Who have you told? OH (obviously), my sister, OH's parents (who proceeded to tell everyone they knew at 8w-- first grandchild!). Waiting on telling my mom until after 12w... long story.

@kjpugs: Have you tried yoga? My OH has a degenerated disc (but not disease?) and his physical therapist recommends sunbird, cat, cow, and cobra poses. OH says that it helps with some of the pain. Either way, I am sorry you are feeling down about it. It

@kjpugs: Oh man that sounds painful!! I pinched a nerve in my lower back the other day and it sucks. I know that's nothing compared to what you're going through so I totally feel for you!

@lil owl: oh nooo...HG is the worst and truly a whole other league than morning sickness. I know before you said you can't get many meds--where are you again?

I don't even have HG, just very bad morning sickness and I am miserable most days. I'm not on zofran, reglan, and diclectic plus zantac each day. I also have a cold and am taking mucinex on top of everything else. I feel so sorry for you, because I know it's worse for you.

Can you order meds from another country?

@Ms. RV: Welcome... we're due one day apart (I'm on the 9th.) I grew up south of Pittsburgh and went to college at Pitt!

@autumnlove: I definitely have food aversions. I think it goes along with my nausea, but pretty much all veggies and most meat really gross me out right now. For a while I was eating nothing but carbs, so at least I'm starting to eat more variety again.

@lil owl: So sorry to hear how you're feeling. It sounds very rough!

@kjpugs: Sorry to hear about your back! Must be painful to deal with.

    @Ms. RV: Welcome!

My nausea is starting to go away, but I got hit with a terrible cold. I've been coughing up a storm, mostly at night when I'm trying to sleep, which has made it hard for me to get enough rest. I am congested and have a lot of mucus. Plus, I have a sore throat. It's starting to get better, but there was a day where it was so sore I could barely swallow. Being sick is extra tough to deal with when you're pregnant and have all the pregnancy symptoms to deal with as well. I'm hoping I get better soon.

    @aprild: poor thing! Feel better!

You know ladies, I always thought my boobs would magically get bigger when I got knocked up. I'm an A cup. But I'm almost 12 Wks now and they look the same! Is that normal? I had some major nipple sensitivity yesterday, which happens sometimes, but other than that - nada! Damnit I really want some boobies!

Ugh, the past few nights have been so miserable. I wake up like around 2am so sick and nauseous and I can't go back to sleep for 2-3 hours b/c I'm too sick to sleep. Maybe I will try the Unisom/B6.

@buttermilk: Mine didn't get bigger last time until the third trimester and then they exploded after birth!

@Mrs. J: Ugh, hope you feel better today!! Can't wait to see it!

    @Ms. RV: Welcome and congrats!!

@aprild: I'm so sorry With LO, I had an awful cold for almost 2 months and it was miserable! Hope you're better soon!!

@buttermilk I'm sure they will grow!! I started out as an A cup too, but I'm definitely up to a full B now (9w5d) and they hurt.

Sorry to whine, but I am so sick today I just want to die. Ugggh when will the m/s go away!

  27. Mrs. J

    pomelo / 5132 posts

@buttermilk: oh they'll get big and then you won't want them! I was a 32b before my first, by 22 weeks I was a DD, and now just around when I got my BFP, they were down to a C. I really missed my little boobs haha

  28. Mrs. Microscope

    pear / 1788 posts

@buttermilk: mine haven't grown at all, but I'm a C. They hurt though!

@MrsADS: I wasn't as sick as you, but I definitely felt the sickest week 9, and night was the worst. I felt better at the end of week 10 and now at 11+3 I actually feel more like myself again, minus the ever consistent sore boobs and constipation and burping and zits. The end of sickness is near!

  29. MrsADS

    nectarine / 2262 posts

@Mrs. Microscope ahhh I hope you are right!! I am not nearly as sick as some others so I know I can't complain. Not much vomiting, just the 24/7 nauseous rotten feeling.

We are in south Florida and this time of year is so gorgeous, like usually sunny and 75-80 every day, and I want to go to the beach, go on walks, etc. and all I'm doing is sitting in my house since I feel crappy. I hope the end of the sickness is soon!!

  30. Ms. RV

    pear / 1930 posts

@raspberries: I grew up south of Pittsburgh and went to Pitt, too! But I stayed local after graduation.

@buttermilk: I'm a little bigger at a B cup, but I have not really grown at all. I think they are more dense, though. They feel heavier and are sitting lower.

  31. kjpugs

    @MrsStormy: thanks so much!
@Mrs. J: I need to talk to my doctor about it more seriously. They seemed very "oh it's fine" about it last time but I think I need to be like LISTEN- THIS IS SOME AWFUL THIRD TRI CRAP RIGHT HERE.
@Ms. RV: I haven't tried those but will look them up! I used to do PT for it but it didn't seem to help and was $50 a visit- $400 a month!!!!! Gotta love insurance not caring about chiropractics.
@aprild: @getjazzy: thanks! I'm glad that it comes and goes- it's better now after a few days. I just really have to take it easy. 3rd tri though for me was almost constantly bad though so I'm anxious about what that will mean. Depending on gender this will likelybe our last child which makes me feel guilty to say it excites me- then I can start real therapy and losing weight without the threat of pregnancy derailing it! I'm trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel and tell myself that I WILL get better.

We need some refresher questions! I just made some up....I hope everyone is doing well!

    How far along are you?
How are you feeling? Any symptoms?
Best reaction to your BFP news?
Worst reaction to your BFP news?
    Any appointments coming up?
    Anything else?

    How far along are you?
I just checked my app...9 weeks and 1 day!

How are you feeling? Any symptoms?
I had some late afternoon and evening nausea a few times last week. I'm exhausted!

Best reaction to your BFP news? I told our parents on Christmas but our moms are still so excited!

Worst reaction to your BFP news?
My friend told me we should chill out. 2 kids is enough and she would kill herself if she had 3. Thanks...

    Any appointments coming up?
Perinatologist on Wednesday and genetic screening next week!

    Anything else?
    Time is flying!

How far along are you? 12 weeks, 1 day

How are you feeling? Any symptoms? Still nauseated if I don't keep something in my stomach, heartburn every. single. night., and nosebleeds in the morning (but that could be because of the weather?)

Best reaction to your BFP news? My mom - she called me a little shit for keeping it secret so long (and she NEVER swears), and then screamed in excitement for a little while

Worst reaction to your BFP news? None really - telling my boss today though, and not looking forward to that reaction

Any appointments coming up? Ha, well, my NT scan is supposed to be tomorrow, but I don't think it's going to happen due to this blizzard.

Anything else? Nope - not unless anyone knows of a good, pregnancy-safe heartburn relief?

How far along are you? 13 weeks 2days

How are you feeling? Any symptoms? I'm feeling loads better than weeks 8-10, which were pretty bad. I'm still feeling nauseated in the evenings, but it's mild and can be tempered by a few crackers and laying in bed.

Best reaction to your BFP news? Probably my husbands, we werent planning this, and while we hadn't been super careful that month, we'd been starting to lean towards one and done. I burst into tears when I told him, I was so worried about his reaction, but he just gave me a ugh and said some reassuring stuff.

Worst reaction to your BFP news? I just told a college friend last night, we don't chat on the phone regularly, but I didn't want her to find out via Facebook. She happened to text me, so as we were chatting, I told her. Her response? "Oh. How far along are you?" I guess I was just surprised by her not saying "congrats." Even my brother and his wife who think dogs are superior to children mustered up a congratulations.

Any appointments coming up? Not for two weeks,
Anything else? All I want to do is sleep on my back!! And I totally have pregnancy insomnia.
