@buttermilk: I think they can get bigger when your milk starts coming in. Mine got big toward the end of my pregnancy and then HUGE when I was nursing.
@MrsADS: Sorry to hear you're struggling with MS. I know it can be rough.
@raspberries: How exciting that you're having a boy!

How are you feeling? Any symptoms?
My nausea never got that bad, and it seems to be pretty much gone now. The lack of sleep is killing me though. I'm tired all the time, but when I lay down I just can't sleep. Last night was super rough. I'm still having constipation and light cramps on and off.
Best reaction to your BFP news?
Both of our moms were really excited and emotional.
Worst reaction to your BFP news? none yet
Any appointments coming up?
Our 12 week NT scan and genetic testing is a week from today.
Anything else?
Still nervous that something could be wrong in there and I don't know it. It will be nice to finally be able to feel movement and have that reassurance.

@raspberries: Congratulations!
Just curious, how long did it take to get your results back? I'm having the test done next week.

How far along are you? 12 Weeks!
How are you feeling? Any symptoms? I still have some morning sickness nausea, but the thing I'm struggling with the most is this stupid cold. It seems like it's starting to get better, but I hate feeling like I'm useless around the house and with my son.
Best reaction to your BFP news? My grandparents were super excited when I told them we were having a second. This will be their second great grandchild.
Worst reaction to your BFP news? Probably my in-laws who never show much emotion or excitement. My FIL made a comment, "Now you'll be a real family. I always think you're not a real family unless you have at least two kids." Umm, what? That's rather insulting to all the only children out there (myself included).
Any appointments coming up? Feb 13th is my next
Anything else? We're going to Disney World next week!

@krispi: I gave blood at my doctor's office on Jan 15, and got the results back today so - 11 days total, 6 business days (MLK Jr Day was in there, so I'm not counting that as a business day.) I called the office like a nervous ninny on Friday, and the nurse said they usually come in within 6-8 business days, even though the website says 7-10 (regular) days.

@autumnlove: Wow, that's quite a statement of your friend to make. I think having three kids is great!
@OhCaptain: I hate it when you tell people you're pregnant and they don't say congrats. I mean, that's the very least you can do.

How far along are you? 11 weeks today!
How are you feeling? Any symptoms? I still feel like crap and still have the 24/7 nausea with no breaks, ever. I'm still on a cocktail of drugs that is keeping me functioning though--zofran, reglan, diclectic, and 2 zantac a day to manage my GERD. On top of all of that, I have a terrible cold that I can't kick. So Some days, I take mucinex, too. I'm basically popping pills every other hour or so. It was the same with LO #1, so I can't say I'm surprised but it really sucks.
Best reaction to your BFP news? No one was surprised, but everyone is excited for us. We made it known since LO 1 came along that we weren't going to wait too long to start trying again.
Worst reaction to your BFP news? my boss didn't even say congratulations. He seemed...flustered, which is odd, because I told him point blank 3 months before that I was trying to be pregnant by next school year.
Any appointments coming up? NT scan is Feb 7.
Anything else? I've been spotting pretty heavily since last Friday--it finally slowed down today, but it's still happening. Saturday was the worst--it was bright red, so I called my emergency line for the OB on call and she said as long as it didn't fill a pad within 2 hours, not to worry. But I'm still worried, so I'm going to probably go in this afternoon for peace of mind.

@raspberries: Yay!!! Congrats! Which test did you have done? I did MaterniT21 last Tuesday, so I'm getting anxious! Last time, it took exactly one week. Their website says 5 days (I'm assuming business days?), so tomorrow I'll be watching my phone like a hawk! Haha

@lilteacherbee: We did Panorama. And I know what you mean - we were supposed to have an appointment tomorrow, so every time the doctor's office called (once to confirm appt, once to cancel appt due to blizzard, and then finaaaalllly to give us our test results), I was leaping out of my desk chair and running into a conference room, just in case I needed to have an emotional reaction to the results!

How are you feeling? Any symptoms?
Most of the first trimester stuff has gone away, but now I'm super hungry all the time! I'm also exhausted, but I have a 14 month old...so I'd probably be tired regardless lol
Best reaction to your BFP news?
My grandma was super excited and she totally didn't believe us at first. My LO is her first great-grandchild and she lives with my mom (who watches LO while I work), so she's really bonded with him.
Worst reaction to your BFP news?
Most everyone has been really excited, which is nice! I've gotten some comments about how close in age they'll be, but that doesn't really bother me.
Any appointments coming up?
Next OB appointment is Feb 17th and anatomy scan is March 3rd
Anything else?
Getting so anxious for my blood test results!!! Tomorrow will make a week, which is when I got the call with LO.

@raspberries: Congrats on a boy!!! How exciting. I'm taking famotidine (pepcid, apparently?) daily, though only every 24 hours instead of every 12. It was prescribed for my awful heartburn later in my last pregnancy, and my midwife said it was fine to take again when I started to need it. It definitely helps, because if I miss a day it flares up immediately!
How far along are you? -12w1d
How are you feeling? Any symptoms? -Still super tired, but other than that I'm good. Been having more headaches lately, but I'm not sure if that's from being pregnant or because the weather keeps going up and down like crazy.
Best reaction to your BFP news? -Probably still my dad telling the baby goodnight the day I told him, which he's never done. I think he's pretty excited.
Worst reaction to your BFP news? -None? They've all been really positive.
Any appointments coming up? -Feb 11th I have a midwife visit where they're apparently just sort of checking everything, and I'm doing the 1-hour GD screening (fun! >_<). My anatomy scan is supposed to be March 10th, but I don't think it's officially scheduled yet because the midwives have to coordinate with the MFM people.
Anything else? -Well, my anxiety is better today, so fingers crossed that that continues to be the case for as long as possible!
@krispi: Our results came back exactly 8 days later, which was what I was told was the minimum time (8-10). I wasn't sure if that meant business days or not, so I was really glad that it was apparently not!

Still have morning sickness but it's definitely improving. I still feel like I have zero energy all day every day so LO is getting a boring mother at the moment. Can't wait to finally have some energy back.
Best reaction to your BFP news?
My BFF was the most excited, she was the only one besides my mum that knew how long it took to get this sticky baby.
Worst reaction to your BFP news?
My in-laws. DH told them and their reaction was "oh right" no congratulations or anything, which I really shouldn't be surprised by.
Any appointments coming up?
Going to set up an appointment with my midwife sometime this week or next to discuss results of NT scan (scan looked good though so I'm not worried) and listen to the heartbeat for the first time.
Anything else?
Thankfully time is going fast this time, my morning sickness was gone at 17 weeks last time so I'm counting down to when it will be completely gone. Also bought the first nursery item - a jungle themed lamp. I'm super excited to go clothes shopping but still have a few weeks until the anatomy ultrasound.

How are you feeling? Any symptoms?
I still can't believe how totally normal I feel. Some constipation, lately some headaches, and every now and then I have a day where I feel completely and utterly exhausted, but it comes and goes.
Best reaction to your BFP news?
I guess DH - he was SOOOO excited. I'll never forget the look on his face
Worst reaction to your BFP news?
More funny than anything - my grandma said "Welllll I just thought you guys had given up and weren't gonna have kids, you know you're getting so old!" Ummm, I'm 29, thx grandma
Any appointments coming up?
Next Tuesday is my next prenatal. After we hear the heartbeat we will announce on FB!
Anything else?
I'm starting to get a lil exhausted mentally. It's hard to not be completely obsessed with knowing I'm pregnant, yet I can't really do much to move anything forward. It's too early to buy anything, even clothes - I keep trying to find gender neutral stuff but none of that is fun to buy lol. I'm just going a liiiiitle stir crazy.

How are you feeling? Any symptoms? No symptoms anymore, yay!
Best reaction to your BFP news? Nothing over the top. No tears. I guess my cousin had the best reaction, because she tends to get super excited and start squealing!
Worst reaction to your BFP news? Not a bad reaction, but my mother didn't know what an ultrasound picture was, so she didn't get that we were trying to tell her we were pregnant for a few minutes (over Skype). It was more amusing than anything else, since my dad knew right away what an ultrasound picture was.
Any appointments coming up? February 17th OB appointment followed by an ultrasound a few weeks later.
Anything else? Anyone else having round ligament pain?
Also, I'm starting to get a bit freaked out imagining how my life is going to change. Sure, babies and toddlers are cute, but think about parenting someone going through puberty! Am I worrying about things too far in advance? lol~

Only sore boobs, super bloated and tired early at night. I'm not tired during the day but then I pass out at 8pm. Thank GOD I don't have any morning sickness or nausea because I have an hour and a half bus commute EACH way to work and that was my biggest fear!
Best reaction to your BFP news?
Two of our best friends (both guys) freaked out and ran laps around our house picking me up and hugging me. It was hilarious!
Worst reaction to your BFP news?
All 4 parents. We got them all mugs/beer glasses with their grandparent name and NOBODY got it. We had to spell it out six ways to sunday, my parents thought we were just giving it to them to congratulate them on being soon-to-be grandparents to my sisters future child (umm NO

Just an update: Had my first ultrasound for this pregnancy today. I was so nervous, but everything is good. Baby has a strong heartbeat (170).
It turns out I do have a sub chorionic hematoma again (which I had last pregnancy), so that would explain my spotting, but the tech didn't think it looked large enough to be a problem at all.

How are you feeling? Any symptoms?
Mostly just nauseous. Not that much vomiting, just feel crappy a lot. I'm SO ready for that to be over. I am taking Zofran as needed and I have really bad constipation.
Best reaction to your BFP news?
My mom was SOOOO excited! Bawling, jumping up and down, just out of control happy. It was great. It's her first grandchild.
Worst reaction to your BFP news? None really bad, but my in-laws are just unemotional, non-exciting people (and do have 5 grandchildren already), and when we told them, they were like "oh, that's great, congratulations," and then went back to eating dinner and never really brought it up again.
Any appointments coming up?
I have another ultrasound tomorrow to check the status of my SCH. Then we will probably do the NT scan in a couple of weeks.
Anything else?
I'm ready to get out of the first tri and be able to start telling people and actually planning. I feel fairly confident since we've heard the heartbeat several times already but I'm still ready to "officially" be out of the first tri!

@OhCaptain: thank you for clarifying! I was going to ask. I was wondering if you meant hug but either one worked in that sentence
How far along are you? 12 weeks today!
How are you feeling? Any symptoms? Nausea and some headaches, which may both be weather related.
Best reaction to your BFP news? My sister's. She's equally as excited as OH and me.
Worst reaction to your BFP news? At a big group dinner with mostly friends, a lady I just met essentially accused me of getting pregnant by accident (it was planned) because I am not married to the father. She then spent the next ten minutes trying to convince me to have a shotgun wedding because "babies need a mom and a dad". I was raised by a single mother and am way more successful and well adjusted then her two parent kids. Grr. She never said congratulations.
Any appointments coming up? Just a routine one on Feb 5.
Anything else? Still haven't told my mom. Maybe this weekend. Or work. Out of 15 employees under my manager, five are retiring this year plus my maternity leave. He will be a little short staffed!

How are you feeling? Any symptoms? Pretty great actually, my nausea and food aversions have mostly lifted (besides to pasta?! Such a weird aversion). I'm still really tired but I think that will continue until the end since I have a toddler at home!
Best reaction to your BFP news? Probably my cousin! She cried, which I was shocked about. My parent's were really good too.
Worst reaction to your BFP news? My boss was awkward. My department is a little bit in shambles right now and I know he's now thinking ahead to covering my job for a year while I'm off but he was still generally good about it. He said congrats and stuff.
Any appointments coming up? Feb 4th, sooo late. My doctor has been off so I'll be 14 weeks when I see her, and I won't have seen her since I was 8 weeks. Not much exciting going on though, and I've heard the heartbeat and had a scan lately so it's ok. I have my second round of blood work for my genetic prenatal screening Feb 9th (I think?) so a week or so after that I should get my results.
Anything else? We will be announcing on facebook probably tonight, I can't wait to just have it out in the open and not have to tiptoe around the people who know, and the people who don't. We have a couple of people to call tonight and then we are free!

How are you feeling? Any symptoms?
Still nauseated most days. Not throwing up anymore, so that's a plus. Exhausted, but I think that comes with having a toddler too.
Best reaction to your BFP news?
My dad is over the moon, so that's cute. I had fun spelling it out to DH when I told him because he didn't get it!
Worst reaction to your BFP news? The president of my school looked shocked, like a deer in the headlights. He kind of stuttered, but eventually got it together!
Any appointments coming up?
2/10 I have a normal midwife visit
Anything else?
Excited to have announced on FB. Working on telling more people at school, but I'm holding off on my students yet--some of my seniors I don't know very well yet (semester class).
I think I might have felt movement? I know it's super early, and it might have just been gas lol.

I had another ultrasound today and a quick visit with the OB. My SCH is still there but almost gone, so that's good news.
Baby looked great, measuring 2 days ahead at 10w2d. We saw his/hers little arms and legs moving around, sooo cool!
On the bad front, the u/s tech did the transvaginal u/s and then wanted to get another view so tried to do a regular abdominal ultrasound. Well, apparently I am so constipated all she could see was poop I knew it was bad but not that bad, yikes. So my OB wants me to go see my GI doctor since I have a history of GI issues and "fiber and Colace" isn't going to work. I am taking Miralax daily and this is still happening.
I'm trying not to take Zofran, which makes it worse. She gave me some samples of Diclegis to try. And I'm hopeful that the m/s will subside in a few weeks, at least to the point I can get through my work day without needing Zofran or something.

How far along are you? 10+3 today.
How are you feeling? Any symptoms? Awful. And I feel bad complaining but at least you ladies can sympathize. Nausea, meds give me horrible side effects, back and hip pain. I wonder if they'll do a medically induced coma until August? LOL
Best reaction to your BFP news? Probably most fun was when my sister told me she was 10 weeks (after 2 losses) the day after I tested! I blurted it out that I was too. It was so exciting.
Worst reaction to your BFP news? DH just told his mom a week ago and she hasn't said anything to me. She likes to bring the drama.
Any appointments coming up?: NT scan a week from Friday!
Anything else?: is it august yet? LOL. Hope you're all faring better! Also it's been cute when LO lifts my shirt and says baby. Really REALLY excited to give her a sibling. Also excited to find out the gender- from experience that helps me get past the bad and get EXCITED!

@MrsADS: oh man!!! Thanks for the heads up about that. I'm having some HORRENDOUS poo related zofran side effects so I am going to see what I can do prior to my appt next week.

@Mrs. J: I've maybe felt movements. I had an anterior placenta last time so I'm not ruling it out but imagining that it is, makes me forget the bad stuff and get excited to feel kicks, so I'm going to go with that plus second time, apparently things happen earlier like that.

@kjpugs I just got off the phone with my GI doc and he says Miralax is TOTALLY safe because it's not absorbed systemically at all. He said he has pregnant patients who take up to 4 doses a day. So I'm going to be taking a lot more.

@MrsADS: Ugh to the poop issues!! I have chronic issues like that due to a childhood illness that resulted in numerous surgeries. Totally not shocked because of timing and the fact I feel like I could have a house full of kids and they'd all be boys We want 3, so there's always next time to try for a girl.
But I'm super excited! 2 boys less than 21 months apart!! Hopefully they'll be the best of friends
