just got back from my NT scan! Baby looks healthy, has a heart rate of 170 and was super active dancing around! i got a clear nub shot, and i'm thinking girl (although i REALLY want a girl, so i could be imagining things haha). What do you guys think?

@MissLace: Definitely looks girly.. how far along are you? Apparently it's not reliable before 12w exactly.

So glad to hear everyone is starting to feel better!
I had to have a filling done yesterday at the dentist, which turned into 2 fillings once they got in there (surprises since they couldn't do an xray) and so I treated myself to a big plate of pasta last night! And I dreamed about how good it was all night and I'm craving more this morning... But its back to normal, healthy foods and portions. Womp womp.

@OhCaptain: I've got an appointment today too, and I'm nervous. There's no reason to think anything is wrong, and I'm fine most of the time, but leading up to appointments I get freaked out. I'm sure both of ours will go great!
I'm so excited though, we got our tax refund today, so DH said we'll go order the glider for the nursery today! Yay! Honestly, I'm excited just to get it. I want to sit in it, it's so comfy! And having the glider makes it more real somehow; I can picture holding her and rocking her.

@Torchwood: I'm jealous your taxes are done! I am still waiting for some paperwork. And congrats on the glider! Where are you looking? I haven't found anything good and would love some store suggestions! Its the only real piece of furniture we plan to buy.

@MissLace: Are you pretty sure on your dates? If you were tracking at all I would go by your calculation because measuring ahead is less accurate than actual known gestation. I thought (and some literature says) the numb theory is reliable from 11 weeks but the more seasoned people on ingender.com say they won't guess before 12w because "all nubs can look girly at that stage". I thought with my ultrasound by 11w5 the guess would be reliable but they said no since I wasn't 12w yet. In my unprofessional opinion yours looks very girly as did mine. Are you finding out?

@getjazzy: i know i'm 11w6d based on when i ovulated. i was tracking everything and temping so i know what day i definitely ovulated on. and yup, we find out the gender on April 1st (i'd be 19w1d according to my calculations). I wish i could see it sooner! How far along are you, did you find out the gender yet?

@Torchwood: We ordered our glider a couple of weeks ago...maybe it'll be in soon?
@Mrs. Microscope: We ordered a Best brand! It didn't hurt that DH had a gift card...but they were very comfy!
pomelo / 5607 posts
@Mrs. Microscope: Ours is Best brand too. We're getting it from BRU because we have a coupon. ETA- and our taxes are done because DH is obsessive about getting them done early. Works for me, but if I were in charge I would never manage to have them done already. (And we didn't have much paperwork to wait on since only he is working.)

@MissLace: I'm 15 weeks today and we aren't finding out! So I'm going to base my gender guess on what yours ends up being lol!! Here's our nub shot from 11w5.. Looks girly to me but who knows right since I wasn't the recommended 12w.

@FliegepilzHut: @Torchwood: thanks ladies! I will have to check Best out!

Can someone fill me in in what "nub" theory is?
My appt went great, apparently my placenta is anterior, so we couldn't find the heartbeat until my midwife used the ultrasound machine to see where to aim, and even then it was hard! She finally found it, a strong 160. Couldn't see sex today, hopefully we will get a clear shot at my next (19w) appt.

Heartbeat is 152, and she found it immediately, thankfully, and everything looks good (well, for what they check at a routine appointment). Anatomy scan is in 4 weeks, so if I can just keep calm till then, I'll really feel like we're in clear!

@OhCaptain: haha, I have no idea either! I want to know!

http://Www.ingender.com has awesome nub (and other) theory info and a forum where you can post pictures for the long time members and even some ultrasound techs to analyze. They are very accurate and they predicted my last LO was a boy.

@kjpugs: Yes, the weekend was nice! But last Thursday was chilly and rainy all day. The weather wasn't very consistent, but it was nice to get away! We love visiting Florida, and going in February was a first for us.
@MissLace: I'm not good at predicting gender, but that's a cute pic!
@getjazzy: So cute!

Congrats on all these nice checkups and ultrasounds ladies! Nub theory is soooo over my head so I can't guess!

We ordered the chair! We wound up going with a different one than we'd planned, but I love it! We're going back this weekend for the car seat, so exciting! And I got what is now my favorite onesie ever.

@FliegepilzHut: Pretty sure it was this one. I can check the order confirmation later. It's super comfy. http://m.toysrus.com/skava/static/product.html?type=TRU_product_us&url=%2Fproduct%2Findex.jsp%3FproductId%3D33867666%26cp%3D2255957.2273443.2256245.50629046.50628856.50628876%26parentPage%3Dfamily&domain=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.toysrus.com

@FliegepilzHut: Oh, and it was the lower price plus we had a 15% off coupon. It didn't show as being on sale in store, that was just the price.

@Torchwood: exciting! Looks super comfy.
We live in a trinity style house with a narrow pocketbook staircase and will unfortunately be relegated to furniture that we can assemble in the room since baby's nursery will be on the 3rd floor. Soooo aka IKEA rocking chair lol. But I think they are pretty comfy!
Omg you guys I have peed every 30 mins for the last 2 hours. And I think I have to go again! It's like as soon as I stand up from peeing, I have to go again!

@Torchwood: cute onsie! And that chair looks great!
@buttermilk: I was having the same problem over the weekend. I found that drinking more water seemed to help, which seems weird, but it did!

@autumnlove: congratulations! I think it's the most amazing thing to have 3 kids of one gender--I can imagine that they will be super close when they are adults. I'm one of 6 kids so it's different, but my sisters and I are much better at staying in touch than my brothers are.
