Hi everyone! I hope y'all don't mind me joining! I'm a July 2016 mom, but that board isn't very active and I would love to have some people to just talk to who understand how i'm feeling! haha!

@MRSWHIT1: welcome! Happy to have you here!
I got a migraine about 24 hours ago. I don't get them non-pregnant. Last time I had them for a few days but I was only 14 weeks along. I woke up last night at a definite 10 on the pain scale. I was able to fall back asleep after extra strength Tylenol kicked in, but when I still had the headache this morning I called the on call doc who had me go to L&D for a work up.
Luckily everything is fine. They gave me meds for the migraine, which have been slowly helping. I fell asleep again just now and am feeling a little better but still off.
I missed the spring festival with my daughter that I've been looking forward too luckily my husband could take her. She had a really difficult time at daycare drop off this week, too, and I'm feeling pretty sad about not being able to just focus on her all the time now.

@OldpuebloJenn: oh man I hope so! Everyone finally had a healthy week, but lo is sneezing nonstop and her nose is running today I'm wondering if maybe this is allergies or something? She can't possibly be sick again!
@MRSWHIT1: welcome! Is this your first? Do you know what you are having?
@Silva: oh how terrible I'm sorry you missed that time with your daughter too, that is always hard. But obviously you need to take care of yourself!

@MRSWHIT1: Happy to have you! Welcome. Tell us a little about you. When are you due? Do you know what you're having? Is this your first? If not, what do you have? Did you or will you have a babymoon? We have several threads going for our group and you're welcome to participate in all.

@Silva: Hugs. I'm so sorry you've been in pain. I hope it goes away ASAP. It stinks having to miss things because of it.

I feel like a new woman after getting my first hair cut in about six months! I also got my first-ever Mother's Day card today. My mom's friend sent it and I am so touched. I totally cried, lol.

@Silva: thank you! And happy Mother's Day to you hope you're feeling better!
@T.H.O.U.: I think she got it from papyrus - they have the cutest cards!

@MrsSCB: aww! I remember with my first, I was like 8 weeks pregnant on mother's day so we hadn't told anyone but my parents. My mom gave me the sweetest card - it was when my pregnancy first started to feel real. Oh and I haven't gotten a haircut since December! I am going to get one in the next week or two for sure.

Happy mama day everyone!! Hope you all have a wonderful day.
What a difference a year makes! Last year we had just found out we weren't having a baby and this year I have 11 weeks to go and a little ninja making it's presence known in my belly.

Hi everyone and happy mother's day! Hope you're all having a great weekend
@MRSWHIT1: Welcome! I'm due in July too, how are you feeling??
@OldpuebloJenn: Sorry your plans were ruined and I hope your daughter is feeling better! (and I hope you can reschedule your alone-time) Your photo is really precious
@agold: I told DH not to worry about mother's day for me but he still surprised me with some flowers 'from baby'. I totally cried. Damn hormones.

@ShootingStar: @pregnantbee: You guys look lovely with your perfect round bellies! I still feel like I don't have a lot to show because baby is well hidden in my chunky-ness and big hips but here's 28 weeks from a few days ago. I assume I'll pop eventually!

@dcw6411: Solidarity high five on 28 weeks! Happy 3rd tri! Your bump looks amazing!

@AprilFool: I know, me too! It's so crazy to think about, but I do feel so happy with how everything worked out in the end I can't believe next mother's day, my family will be complete!
@Umberto: @dcw6411: love your bumps, ladies!
Hope everyone had a great mother's day!

Update on my genetics testing bill, in case anyone is still interested in this issue:
I got a letter from my insurance company sometime last week indicating that they had denied the $5K+ bill. (That was expected.) And then today I got an emailed receipt from the testing company showing I was charged just $25.00!! I am really hoping that the $25.00 is it. Phew. Praying there are no more charges!

I feel like baby girl has suddenly gotten really heavy! So I ordered a pregnancy support belt and hope it works to take some of the weight off. I assume the feeling would be similar to wrapping the bump: http://amzn.com/B0113WE0QS

@Pirouette: Me too. I feel everything worked out how it was supposed to. LO is much more ready to be a big sister and so are we as a family!
@pregnantbee: I am thinking of getting a belt too. Baby sits so low and is so heavy, I could use a little relief
@agold: Fingers crossed

I really think I need to get some maternity pants now. I'm sitting at my desk and I feel baby girl kicking like crazy. And I just had a horrible thought - maybe the waist of my pants is too tight and its restricting the space she has. Could that be the case? Now I feel horrible. I just unzipped them all the way down. I'm only sitting at my desk so no one will see.ETA: When I stand, the pants still fit great. Its just when I sit that they are a little tight on my stomach.

@pregnantbee: Right there with ya! I bought one last week and its helping a lot. Hope it works for you!

@agold: She's so insulated in there that I'd imagine your pants have nothing to do with anything except your own comfort. YES, buy some pants! Or dresses! So much more comfy than non-maternity. Sitting down is where the problem of not fitting begins
@dcw6411: Thanks! I hope so, too. And I'm glad to know it's helping you. I think our bumps are actually fairly similar.

@pregnantbee: Thanks so much for that. I feel a little better and yes, totally time for new work pants. This is ridiculous now.
ACID REFLUX - is anyone having it? Its so bad for me right this second that I honestly feel like crying.

@pregnantbee: They definitely seem to be from the pictures!! I had an ultrasound today and baby is sideways in my tummy, with his back facing out.

@dcw6411: Hahaha. I ended up getting a quick peek at baby girl on Thurs., and she is head down. But I do feel like she is hanging out mostly on the left. I hope she stays head down, or if she flips, she flips back!

@agold: I knew it was time when I started the day ok without much sitting.....and then bloated more throughout the day and ended up having to unbutton at my desk If you're gonna invest in maternity, might as well get as much use as possible! (Says the girl who has been in maternity pants since 7w this time!)

@agold: yes! Get some good pants! 15 weeks is still a long time to go. I had to forgo a pair of low panel pants because even those dug into deep.

we had our 24 week growth scan today, and baby is doing well! one and a half lbs, putting him at 40th% so far. Man, is he one uncooperative kid though - I've had 4 scans now and we have not seen his complete face, those hands never leave his face! the one thing he is not one bit shy about is confirming his sex though lol

Just checking in ladies. I feel like I am the worst due date club member ever, because while I'm reading, I'm rarely on my computer with time to post and lately I've been so busy that even thinking about making a post with my phone is funny.
@agold: YES! Just buy the maternity pants. Once you have them you will be kicking yourself for waiting so long!
@pregnantbee: How are you feeling after last week's crazy events?? I hope you're feeling much better.
@T.H.O.U.: Gorgeous flowers. I've told my husband a million times I would LOVE flowers for Mother's Day but it never happens. He bought me a new computer mouse this year. I was not pleased.
@dcw6411: You look wonderful! What a great bump.
I'm hanging in. I've had a LOT of BH contractions the last week or so and some of them have even gotten painful so I'm trying to relax more lately. I know I've been overdoing it. So today my goal is just to relax and sit - the kids and I have read a bunch of books so far, I'm on my computer now for a laid back morning of work, and plan on sipping on tea and watching a movie with my oldest while my youngest naps a bit later. Last night I felt like I was just in one constant contraction and when I got up in the night to pee, it happened again. This morning, so far so good. So I'm just going to hydrate and relax away.

@Pirouette: Yay, glad baby is doing well. At least he is still a boy!?
grapefruit / 4717 posts
@coopsmama: Yes, thank goodness! I've also been getting a lot of either BH or baby girl stretching. I can't believe I still have over 2.5 mo left. I feel like she is out of room! Glad you're gonna take it easy. xo
