@ClairHuxtable: I never felt that much different between my Girl and Boy. With my first girl my hips got very wide and with my boy I think I was more out front.
But I have a friend who was completely sick with her girl and not her boy!

@dcw6411: Hugs. I'm glad you're physically ok. I'm sorry it's been so tough emotionally. I'm hoping that with some more time and with you doing well physically that he will start to feel more connected. Maybe your friends will surprise you with something little? You always have us to hear you vent and reassure you that everything will be ok. xo

@ClairHuxtable: It's nice to see you checking in. I know -- we move really fast over here, and it can be overwhelming. No pressure to read or comment on every post. Just check in when you feel like it.
My pregnancies have felt pretty much the same -- I assumed I'd be having another boy. NOPE. I was floored when they told me girl. Can't wait to hear what you're having!

@dcw6411: When we had 2 losses and then all the bleeding with my son, it was really hard for us to connect with the baby and the pregnancy and each other. It was by far in the late second tri before things got "exciting". And it turns out DH was very good with the baby second time around. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better though.

@dcw6411: I'm so sorry, that's a tough position to be in. I'm sure once the baby comes, your husband will be so in love and it will feel like you were always meant to be a family of 5, but it's hard feeling like that. Can you maybe plan a sip and see or something for once the baby arrives? Maybe that will be a nice way to celebrate the baby instead of a sprinkle? And happy birthday to your son!!!
@T.H.O.U.: thank you for adding the appointments list to your update! it's always so hard to find whenever I look for it.

@ClairHuxtable: I can't hardly wait to find out what you are having! One more day to go!!
@dcw6411: Oh, dear. I'm so sorry to hear about how you are feeling. That all sounds like some tough circumstances. First, at least the bleeding has subsided. Phew. That's really most important. Second, bummer about your husband. Has he been to an ultrasound with you? Maybe he needs to see new baby boy moving around. And I don't know what kind of money pit he thinks the new baby will be, but since you already have two kids, then it seems like you won't need to buy much stuff for new baby. Lastly, so sorry your MIL is catering to crazy SIL. I like the idea of sort of throwing yourself a sip & see. Do you have a girl friend that could help you? What about taking your two kids and going home to your own parents' house for a weekend? I hope you cheer up! You have so much else to be happy about! Hang in there, lady!
@T.H.O.U.: you are so awesome with these lists. Can you please add my anatomy scan for April 1? No worries if not!
@pregnantbee: You always give nice advice.

@pregnantbee: @T.H.O.U.: @Pirouette: @agold: Thank you all for the kind words and advice. I feel a little silly for even talking about it. In the grand scheme of life it's rather trivial and deep down I know that. I am hopeful as the pregnancy progresses his attitude will improve and it will bring us back to the closeness that we were. For now, I have decided that I need to attempt to 1. Not smack him, and 2. Pull myself out of my pity party and enjoy this stage for myself. Hugs to all of you and thank you again!

@agold: Aw, shucks. Thank you
@dcw6411: I bet it will get better as time moves on. xo
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@dcw6411: Do not even feel silly for a second. Every one is going through something, big or small. Everything that someone talks about here for sure helps at least one other person. Not smacking my husband is always a goal that I have, anyways. Hugs to you!

@dcw6411: I don't think it's silly at all, and am glad that you have at least one outlet through which you can get this off your chest. We are happy to share the load, so to speak, whenever possible.

@dcw6411: That sounds like such a tough situation! I am sure your husband will come around, it's so much harder for men to connect with pregnancies than us. In the mean time, vent to us anytime.

@Pirouette: On your boobs, color me jealous! I am a B, when I BF DD is was like a large B (and was super thrilled), then was done and became a small B. To be a D, omg, haha, I cant even imagine!

@dcw6411: Hugs and hang in there. We will celebrate with you and I am sure your family back home will too.
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@MrsBeluga: I used to be a small B, and I liked it! Then I gained weight and became a big B and I didn't like it all, but maybe because I equated it to the weight gain. I'm praying to have small boobs again and DH is praying for the opposite.

@MrsBeluga: haha i never thought id see the day! But it's more of a pain than a joy, since its the reason my clothes dont fit well these days. I am not ready for maternity clothes bump wise but my boobs are making my wardrobe more difficult

Inquiring minds want to know: What does your username mean?
Mine is a pseudonym that carried over from WB. I was a different name over there, and when I got pregnant the first time, I didn't want to share yet under my real name, so I created this one which was meant to be temporary. And then it stuck for far longer than intended. Even moved it over here when the birth group moved here. And now I'd feel weird changing it, and I don't know what I'd even pick! And how would people recognize me??
Your turn.

@pwnstar: Haha, I was particularly curious about yours. Now I get it. In my head....it doesn't quite read with that pronunciation So, are you into gaming?
pear / 1718 posts
@pregnantbee: In a former life I may or may not have been a ranked player. It's a phrase I think to myself a lot (it has a surprising amount of carry over irl!)

@pwnstar: Haha! You can admit it. My husband is always playing something

Mine is a nod to my kids and to the pregnancy I lost. Childhood is so fleeting, as was my first pregnancy. Like a shooting star.

@ShootingStar: Awwwwww. Beautiful sentiment. And sorry about your loss.

You guys go so fast!! Lol
I had my 20 week appointment yesterday. My dr said baby and I look and are measuring perfect. Love hearing that news. I'm half way done now!!
@pregnantbee: when I was younger (like really young) I loved Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and aandmklover was my first email account. I used it forever then it just stuck for many things and I still use it because I know it will always be available and it's easy for me to remember.
pomegranate / 3331 posts
@pwnstar: ha! I never made that connection and always wondered about your name.
@Aandmklover: oh, that's who is in your pic! I was stopped on the street with my lo the other day by some guy who was like "she looks exactly like michelle!" It took me a minute to realize he meant full house...it's been a few decades
I love ballet, and I'm a ballerina (these days only at heart, sadly, but I'll be back!) Not an exciting story.

@Aandmklover: I love you username so much more now!! Not that I didn't love it, but now it's so freaking cool!

My username is taken from Baby Beluga by Raffi, he was my fave growing up and now I'm forcing DD to love his music too. He was also my first concert:)
Posting my 20 week bump photo, I look about a month ahead of where I was last time. DH is impressed by the bump this time around.

My name is my hubby's first inital, my first initial, the first letter of our last name and our wedding date. I have no idea how I came up with all that!
@MrsBeluga: cute bump!

@dcw6411: I'm sorry you're having a tough time emotionally big hugs to you! I know it can be tougher for men to feel connected to pregnancy in general. Hopefully he'll start to come around soon
@pwnstar: that picture with the pwn definition is everything. Cats are the best.
@Aandmklover: Yay for a good appointment!
@MrsBeluga: You look great
My username is just....my initials. I know you're all blown away by my creative spirit.
pear / 1718 posts
@MrsBeluga: Definitely faster (bump appearance) the second time around! Lookin' good!
@Aandmklover: Glad you had a great appt!
@MrsSCB: It was either that or somehow finding a way to use the Super Troopers *meow* skit . . .

My username is my Hall name from university. I was given the name Glitter by the seniors because "I love to shine!" haha.. I'll leave you to figure that one out.
Tomorrow is my anatomy scan! We find out the gender and I've been hoping for a girl but tonight I started thinking how much I love being a boy mom and now I don't know where I stand!
Here's a pic of me from the weekend. Legit bump!
persimmon / 1281 posts
@Aandmklover: ooohh I was obsessed with them growing up too! So cool!
