@sojellybean: @Lmpeavley: welcome!
Today sucks for me - that is all. Is the first tri over yet???

@Revel I so feel you! I had been feeling a bit better and then threw up the last two nights and felt terrible. I am almost 11 weeks now so should be approaching getting better but I fear that it might take longer.

@sojellybean: Welcome!!! I hope you get the birth you want. Are you providers supportive of VBAC?

@LMPEAVLEY: Welcome!! I lost 10 pounds during my 1st tri of my 1st pregnancy ... this time, I haven't weighed myself this pregnancy, but my symptoms are worse, so I assume weight loss again. My midwives reminded me that as long as I can keep a decent amount of food down, I should be okay ... then of course there are some other things to lookout for, but I think baby gets what it needs.
@SPARKLEMAMA: Congrats and welcome!! I have the same food issues this time too. It's crazy how the same process can be so different from the last time, huh?

@littlejoy: Thank you! Yes! It's so strange how different it can be and then I start wondering if that means we're having a girl this time since all my symptoms are totally different. But then realistically I know those don't really have anything to do with the sex. Congrats to you and everyone here as well!

So I thought I was doing better & decided to go grocery shopping. I came home with: bagels, cream cheese, bread and Gatorade. Mom win right here.

@littlejoy: So far, yes! I'm seeing a group of midwives this time. As long as nothing comes up they are totally ok with trying for a vbac, especially since my section was due to baby's heart rate dropping.

@MommySLP: I did curbside pick up at my grocery store today. I definitely got lots more convenience food than normal. Whatever it takes to survive!

@MommySLP: that's my version of grocery shopping too! Nothing sounds good at all so I wind up with juice and carbs. I did think to grab a jar of pasta sauce so that was dinner for lo and my husband tonight.
Today was a rough day, it was so sad hearing my daughter ask me to come play while I was getting sick. She's just so over having a sick mama.
Welcome to the new mamas!

@Mrs. Pickle: @MommySLP: I hit the frozen section of Costco hard today! Got frozen breakfast sandwiches and frozen chicken melt things. No shame.

@sparklemama: @sojellybean: @Lmpeavley: congrats! August is a big group!
@sojellybean: I'm hoping for a vbac too, though very nervous. But I'll only be able to try if I go into labour spontaneously. I didn't last time and went 2 weeks over, was induced, got to push for a few hours and then baby was pronounced stuck.

@peachykeen: thank you so much for updating that and putting all the info together in a way that's so easy to see!!

Hey guys, sorry I disappeared for a while. Unfortunately, I'm out. My spotting increased to more bleeding and I did end up miscarrying... It was the worst New Year's Eve considering we had just spent Christmas so full of joy telling our families. At my appointment last week, they confirmed it. Wishing you all the best with your pregnancies and your future little ones.

@MommySLP: I've been eating bagel and cream cheese every morning since about 6 weeks - it's all I can handle!
Yesterday I managed to semi-enjoy some cheese ravioli for lunch... So I ate it for dinner as well It was a well-balanced day.

@peachykeen: @MommySLP: +1 on bagel and cream cheese, I eat that at least once a day. Same with my last pregnancy.
@KNS: terrible! 11 weeks though, hopefully you are almost out of the woods. 8 weeks was a turning point for me in my first pregnancy so I'm hopeful that will hold true this time as I'll be 8 weeks on Friday!

@Revel: My appetite started coming back a little right at 9 weeks this time. It's definitely not perfect (still can't even think about any meat) but I am drinking a little iced coffee this morning for the first time in over a month
Hope Friday brings an improvement for you!

@peachykeen: I hope so too! I'm envious of your iced coffee. I tried to keep drinking coffee this time but I think it was wrecking my stomach in addition to tasting disgusting. So I know that's part of why I feel so bad. I can't wait to have my cup a day again! I like tea but it's not the same.

Speaking of breast pumps, Medela has a new one that looks like a huge improvement. I exclusively pumped for LO #1 (planning to do everything I can to avoid it this time) and used a PISA and a Spectra - this one sounds like the best of both. Quiet, small, hospital-grade and adjusts to your body.
I'm sure it's wishful thinking that insurance might cover it, though...

@Lmpeavley: I'll have to ask my OB when I go in in a few weeks. It's been so long since I got the last one, I don't remember what I did. I do know that I did have to wait until after the baby was born. Things may have changed since then, too.
@coleycam: sorry!!

I had my U/S & nurse appointment this morning!! I'm on the computer now, so I'll have to post the picture later. Heartbeat was 172, and was flickering away!! Everything measured fine and they said the measurements were fine based on LMP (although I'm not 100% sure how that is totally possible, but whatever. The date would be like 4 days sooner if anything was different). The NP part was annoying. It took foreverrrrr! I had a 10 appointment at work and was almost 20 min late to it (and my NP appointment started at 9!). I waited 30 min to see her, then after I had to get undressed, it was like 10-15 minutes before she came back in. Oh well. Luckily no one at work cares lol. Everything looks good! I see my OB on the 31st!

@pmerr: that sounds like a hassle but great news on your ultrasound!
Im sitting down to my lunch of white starches - bagel and cream cheese, potato salad, wonton soup. I eat like a 3 year old now....

@Revel: Mmmm. I had a bagel for breakfast too. Now I want potato salad! But I'm having leftover pasta instead.

Y'all, I'm so tired. So freaking tired. I literally nodded off for a few minutes against the back of my chair this morning after I got to work.
And welcome to all the new ladies!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
@pmerr: that's great!
Is anyone experiencing any cravings? When I actually get hungry I'm seriously craving Asian food. I mostly want Japanese, Korean, and Thai. Oh, and the really cheap packets of ramen.
apricot / 491 posts
@Mrs. Pickle: Not really yet. Last week I wanted tacos or baked potatoes. Anything I could have sour cream on!
pear / 1648 posts
@Mrs. Pickle: Yes, definitely! Panini-style sandwiches (only meat I can stomach) and dill pickles (so stereotypical).
Last night I was laying in bed and had a really weird craving for Spaghetti-os though. I haven't had them in 20 years and never actually really liked them, so that's probably my strangest one yet!
@pmerr: Congrats on the great ultrasound!
pea / 9 posts
@Mrs. Pickle: Not so much cravings but when something sounds good it hits me and I pretty much have to go eat it or in another hour I might not feel like anything again. Yesterday it was a veggie sandwich from Jimmy Johns and popcorn... today I'm still waiting for something to sound good!
cherry / 100 posts
@Petitduck: Second babies come faster, isn't that what they say? I hope you at least get a chance to try.
@sparklemama: I ate so many veggie sandwiches from JJ with my first. Also craved fish sandwiches. Nothing I have to have just yet!
pear / 1788 posts
@sparklemama: this! I am also in "nothing sounds good" and then "dang, that sounds amazing, I need to eat it NOW" boat.
Weighed myself yesterday as a heads up to my appointment so I had some clue about what to expect (I was expecting significant weight gain as I am bloated and have been eating like crap) and was pleasantly surprised by no weight change since the week of my bfp! 8 weeks tomorrow, and once the nausea is gone, the weight will creep up. And that's fine!
apricot / 491 posts
I was also pleasantly surprised that I stayed the same weight wise. Last time, I gained just under 60 lbs so the nurse said it's not going to happen this time. I'm just praying I stay really good at some exercises and eating well. I retained a ton of water and was induced with pre eclampsia, so I'm hoping being better with my weight and eating will help this time!
apricot / 491 posts
@peachykeen: I EPed for 10 months last time. I'd ideally like to not EP, but I'm also going back to work and will need to pump for while I'm gone. There are pros and cons to both
pear / 1648 posts
@pmerr: I made it 9 months and then combo fed until 1 with my freezer stash and formula. After I quit I said I would just do formula if the next baby couldn't nurse, but now that I'm actually pregnant I think I'd probably combo feed as much as I could. At least this time I know to ask for help and am hopefully more ready to advocate for myself with the lactation consultants. But yea, I'll be pumping at work unless I give up entirely.
apricot / 491 posts
@peachykeen: Ahh. I had enough to make it through to 1 year in the freezer. I do know that next time I'll know how to try and build a stash sooner and hopefully can be more relaxed trying since it's not my first time. We'll see!
