@sera_87: Hoping your next appointment goes well! Sorry you have to deal with this...pregnancy is stressful enough as is!
@kodybear: I am wondering if I should bring shorts to bring baby boy home in too? Not sure how to dress a newborn when it's over 100 (since DD was born during a cold spell in
January). We basically will be going from one air conditioned place to another so I may bring pants too.
@Mrs.Someone: I get BH all the time (and have for the past 2- months or so). I also had them a lot with my daughter and she was born on her due date.

Well dang, apparently I've been having BH for the last couple weeks! Haha! It's so funny how different your body can be between pregnancies. I never had any with L, so it just never occurred to me that's what was going on with my uterus. So many random cramps lately.
Too bad that's not what real labor feels like...

@xInfinity: i'm at abt 22 lbs now, which is surprisingly alittle less than last time at this stage. i think i'll probably end up near the 30 lb mark again.
@mrskc: has your dr said anything to you abt not gaining weight the last couple weeks? mine mentioned it at my last appt since its been a couple weeks since i've gained weight. i just don't want the drs to be concerned about the babies growth where i'll have to do more testing! so i'm just eating whatever i can now to try to get my weight up alittle bit each time. but i think my appetite has decreased since theres not as much room! and btw the take home outfit is cute!! love it!
@jennypenny: i can't believe you're at 33 weeks now!! i know you're leading the pack in the front of our month but it seems like 33 weeks is so close to the end now! ack! so much to do so little time!
@Mrs. M: i have no idea how to dress a newborn in the summer either! i had a nov baby last time. i think i'm just going to do the shorts and bring a swaddle blanket to put on top of them. on a tangent, i think i am liking the idea of a summer baby more than a winter baby! i'm excited about the idea of being able to walk around in nice weather with a newborn and it not being dark and cold so early.
i'm still not really sure what bh feels like. i don't think i really had it last time, or if i did, i didn't know i was having them! but i am curious if i'll get them this time around

This is so random, but I was just looking on Anne Everett Rae's Etsy store and noticed this re: team green. I thought that was pretty cute! You could even have a monogrammed outfit if you had both a boy and a girl name picked out. Thought I would share if any of our TG moms were interested.

@Mrs. M: It's super hot where I'm at too... but figured we'd be going from one air conditioned place to the next so I figured a footless sleeper would be fine.
@kodybear: No he hasn't. I go next week.. I'm wondering if he'll mention it or not. He measured my fundal (sp?) height at my last appointment and said I was measuring on track. I just think since it's my second pregnancy I got big quicker and now I've finally hit a plateau. I'm sure I'll start gaining weight again soon.
@BakerBee: That's a cute idea for team green!

@pui: Yayyyy!! That's awesome!
@BakerBee: That's an amazing idea! I wonder how much she's boosting her shop popularity by coming up with that

@BakerBee: that's really cool! I wonder if there are other shops too that would do this. Now if only we were 100% sure on names!

Well, it looks like I just earned myself an extra trip to the doctor this afternoon
The BH have been pretty consistent for the last few hours, so I called in and they said they would like to see me. The nurse said its most likely a bladder infection, or nothing to be too concerned about though.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@Mrs.Someone: oh no! I'm sorry but glad you're getting checked out!
pomelo / 5228 posts
Looks like everything is OK, and maybe I'm just a lucky person to get random contractions. The doctor did some sort of swab that either gives a good negative, or an unreliable positive on whether or not birth will happen in the next 2 weeks. I should get the results tonight. But cervix is closed luckily.

@pui: yay!
@Mrs.Someone: Glad you got it checked out and that everything looks okay!

@Mrs.Someone: I just heard that if you had sex recently (in the last 24 hours) it can invalidate that test. Not sure if they asked you that or not.
Glad every things looking ok!

Hi everyone! Glad to hear everyone is doing well!
At my last ultrasound, seems so long ago now, I was told he was breech. Then at my most recent appointment, the doctor said he thought he was head down. But then we had an elective 3D ultrasound on Father's Day (my gift for DH at an adorable place that does ultrasounds- they don't tell you medical things but you get pictures/DVDs depending on the package you get...so worth it!!) anyways, the tech told me his head was on my left side and body horizontal across...so I don't know what's up! Either the doctor was wrong or Baby Apple is moving a lot! I've started weekly appointments for a medication issue...so maybe I'll ask again at my next one.
Someone asked about weight gain....I haven't wanted to know all along but about 3 weeks ago one of the doctors told me I needed to start watching my weight and they showed me how much I've gained- grrrr. I'm up 36 lbs....:(
Summer school starts tomorrow so I'm just hoping all goes well and Baby Apple stays put for the next 4 weeks!!!
Hope all is well with everyone!!! We are in the home stretch!!

DH and I took a date a few weeks ago and got coming home outfits (one boy one girl since we are team green ). I tried to get stock photos but these exact ones were not on targets website.

@pui: Yep, got the call last night. All clear So I'm to take it easy today, and I have an appointment already scheduled next week.

Anyone dealt with ordering their breast pump yet? My husband did a lot of the leg work last night (getting prescription, etc), but I was wondering the timeline. We have Blue Cross.
nectarine / 2460 posts
@BakerBee: I also have Blue Cross. I called a couple weeks ago and they said I had to order within 30 days of my due date - no earlier. I plan on calling exactly 30 days early... I don't know how specific it is to your plan - but this is where they told me to order from and they said that the company would handle all the filing and everything https://www.edgepark.com/breastpumps

@BakerBee: i have bluecross also - i made a half ass attempt this week to call, i held for 5 min and gave up lol i really should get on this also

@chibee: I know with my plan I need a prescription.
@JennyPenny: Interesting! The rep didn't mention this to my husband, so good to know.
nectarine / 2460 posts
@BakerBee: Yeah, it was EdgePark that told me not the Blue Cross rep...so I'm not really sure where that restriction comes from...
olive / 51 posts
@bakerbee: I have Blue Cross too and am also the head of HR for my company. For most plans, you have to be within 30 days of your EDD and have to contact Edgepark directly. Once you are within the 30 days and call edgepark they will contact your doctor's office to get the prescription directly from them and the shipping of the pump is generally overnight or within a day or two.
One thing to make note of, the Medela Pump In Stlye is the most popular one but does not come with the carry tote and all the accessories that you see on Amazon or in a retail store. It truly is exactly as shown on the website Jennypenny posted.
pomelo / 5228 posts
I guess I'm lucky, my pump process was pretty easy, I took care of it a few months ago. Insurance (Premera) gave me a list of stores to go to and I went in to order from one of them. I got the Medela Pump In Style, but had to pay $40 for the version that comes in the tote w/accessories. It was ready for pickup 2 weeks after I ordered.

Ugh, I still have to do this. I hate calling insurance people.
Jan '13 I had BCBS and had to have a prescription AFTER L was born. It sounds like they've gotten their act together and you can get it before you deliver? I suppose I should look into it. I have United Healthcare now - hoping they provide a double electric as well!
honeydew / 7091 posts
@Mrs.Someone: I think tote + accessories is totally worth the $40 upcharge!
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@MrsT927: Good to know! I have an individual plan and they gave me a whole list of companies I can order from. I will have to check with my husband and see if Edgepark is one of them. I would assume so.

@pui: yay for no gd!!
@Mrs.Someone: glad everything is okay! are you still feeling BH/contractions or are they gone now?
Wait so for you ladies with BCBS, are you able to get an electric pump?? I contacted BCBS last year and they told me i could only get a manual pump! boo. maybe i'll check again?
pomelo / 5228 posts
@kodybear: Still having a few today, usually when I stand up. But nowhere near as many as yesterday!
olive / 51 posts
@kodybear: my BSBC plan gives us the choice between 3 different double electric pumps as long as we order through the covered supplier. I would definitely call again!
honeydew / 7091 posts
@kodybear: When I had BCBS I was able to get a double electric. I had to call all the medical suppliers in my area to find one (I think it wasn't until call #15 or so that I actually found one - huuuuge headache!) though
nectarine / 2460 posts
@kodybear: Yep, for me its the same as @MrsT927 said - there are 3 double electric choices. My coworker who is on the same plan said that for hers last year she only had a choice of a manual, so I would definitely check again!
