    Got my maternity pics back! Here's my favourite:

    @pui: Looks great! Glad the other two babies are here safely. You are up next!

    @pui: Congrats!! When do you get to see your nieces? So many babies in your family
    That picture is beautiful, and you look awesome! And, I am totally jealous of your hair

    My to-do list is getting a little more urgent... haha! Mainly registering at the hospital is my big #1.
    I also need to:
    Install car seats (probably won't until I go into labor)
    Pack bags (probably won't until I go into labor)
    Clear my camera memory (@T.H.O.U.: GREAT IDEA!)
    Vacuum/dust Sister's nursery
    Buy Lyla a special book for the hospital
    Finish Lyla's room (likely will not get done)
    Order my pump (will likely put off until after delivery - I already have one and just want a second for convenience purposes)

    As you can tell, I am in no sort of hurry to finish things

    Oh, and, you know, figure out a name!!!

  7. T.H.O.U.

    wonderful clementine / 24134 posts

    @swurlygurl: I know, I'm in no hurry!

    I know there is no way I can try to get a clean memory card ready if I'm in labor and there is no way I can get my husband to figure that out either. So thats the one that I really need to get done!

    @swurlygurl: I probably won't get to see either baby for a while. SIL lives in NY and my sister lives in the next province over, a 5 hour drive away. I can't really travel now at nearly 35 weeks myself...

    SIL is flying up in September for my other SIL's wedding, so I'll see her baby then. Not sure when I'll get to see my sister's baby.

    Pictures will have to do for now!

    Thanks! I really like the way the photos turned out. Yeah my hair is super long lol. Took forever for me to braid it like that!!

    Anyone having any new starting-to-get-ready-for-labor signs?

    I've been having *super* small Braxton Hicks (usually only notice if I happen to touch my stomach while having one and notice that it's hard, I can't really FEEL the contraction)
    Discharge is starting to increase... lovely
    Also, I've been noticing that every once in a while I feel a little nauseous for no reason. Has anyone heard if this is some sort of labor sign? I do not like it...
    Oh, and woah sore nipples! I accidentally grazed one across something and wanted to cry. It was similar to early breastfeeding pain (I forgot how much that hurt!)

    Still 5.5 weeks to go so I know (HOPE) I have at least 3+ more weeks, but I can tell my body is prepping!!

    Sis is still hanging out ridiculously high, like in my lungs. Sitting is uncomfortable because I can hardly breathe. I love @T.H.O.U.: idea (from another thread) of using an exercise ball because it would allow me to stretch out my torso a little and have more room.

    @swurlygurl: if it's possible since she's always been low I think she has dropped. She feels even lower than before! I swear I feel kicks in my vagina.

    @pui: congrats to being an aunt x 2!! thats so fun that your LO will have so many cousins the same age! and you look beautiful!!! absolutely glowing!

    @swurlygurl: i had some contractions last week, lasting 30s every couple min, but then it died down after an hour. so maybe just braxton hicks?? and then i had a full day of period like cramping (constant, not the ones that come and go) but then they stopped after a day too. Not sure if its anything tho. baby is low for sure, i'm starting to measure small for my fundal height too, which happened last time when baby dropped. hopefully baby is growing as expected tho!

    @pui: Great photo!

    Nothing too exciting going on over here! (At least not baby related). My weekly appointments start on Tuesday, yay... Luckily the BH have died down and only really come back when I'm tired. And I got my maternity photos back last night, I don't love them There are a few good ones though, and thats really all I was looking for.

    @pui: Congratulations on your new nieces!!! Beautiful maternity picture too!

    I have BH contractions all the time, especially at night. I had these the first time around too, so I have no faith they are a sign!
    I've also had a couple random days of cramping, but that has stopped.

    @swurlygurl: My nausea has increased in the past week too. I've had it all along, but the last week it has become more frequent again. I have a feeling I'll be randomly dry heaving during delivery again...ugh!!!

    @Mrs.Someone: I'm sure your pictures are great!

    Had my 36 week appointment today. Looks like things may start moving along soon. I went from a 2 to a 2.5 almost 3 this week and I'm having contractions often. My dr seems to think it will be in the next 2 weeks or so. Eek!

  17. sera_87

    Is it me or does every day seem to get just a little bit longer?

    37 weeks today. Doc appointment + growth ultrasound on Friday. Trying to tell myself to be patient for at least another week and a half, two weeks. Every time I go to the bathroom i check for any sign of mucous plug loss (ugh I hate those words; so gross). I can't help myself though! Aaaaargh.

    patience is not my strong suit, can you tell? >_<

    @pui: congrats on being an auntx2 and I love your pic- you look beautiful!

    For all those who have packed your bag...what did you pack? What clothes of your own are you taking/did you take for your first delivery? I don't like nightgowns...can I wear pj pants after delivery?

    Nothing too much going on for me baby-wise. I didn't feel a lot of movement today so I went to L&D for a NST. Of course the little guy started moving right away when I got there! (Phew!) but they also said I had a few contractions while I was hooked up to the monitor! I didn't feel anything and had no idea I was even having BHs! I doubt that means I'm close...I really think I'll need to be induced because I have a feeling I'll go a week late but it was exciting to know that my body is gearing up!

    My doctor also said I won't be having another ultrasound and they won't do an internal exam until 39 weeks so I have no idea how big he is or how close I am/am not. Anyone else in the same boat as me?

  19. kodybear

    pear / 1616 posts

    @Aandmklover: ahh so close now!! I want to know if I'm dilated but my dr doesn't check til like 38 or 39 weeks.

    @Apples4Teacher: I packed a take home outfit for baby, swaddle blanket, go home clothes for me, toiletries, nursing pads and gel pads, lanolin, pads, camera, soothie, snacks, iPad, chargers, camera.. The Hospital will provide the recovery stuff like the cream and tucks and mesh undies and they'll provide the first diapers wipes etc. I was able to change into my own pjs the next day for LO 1. I'm sure I could've changed earlier but it was easier to wear the gown for skin to skin and nursing.

  20. sera_87

    pomegranate / 3604 posts

    @Apples4Teacher: I packed yoga/sweat pants and tank tops. (Actually i even kept my pants on during labour until pretty much the end. The nurse teased me that they needed to come off in order to have a baby). I didn't bother with a bra because I was nursing often in order to bring in my supply. I didn't even pack any outfits but one to go home in for LO - he just stayed swaddled + diaper until then.

    @pui: Congratulations and great pic!

    @sera_87: Yeah, I'm doing the same. Looking for any sign that something may be starting...

    @Apples4Teacher: I haven't had an ultrasound since 19 weeks and won't have any more unless there's a problem. I asked once if there's any estimate on size and they just said "seems average". I'm so jealous of all the ladies that get detailed estimates and get to see their babe more often.

    I think I had a few contractions yesterday. There wasnt any pattern and they didnt last too long, but they did hurt. Not a lot, but enough to notice them. Suddenly I feel like I've got a lot of deadlines and things so I'd like baby to hold off until next weekend at least. We'll see though. It sure seems like these Aug babies will start showing up soon...

    I just got back from my 37-week appointment and I'm dilated "maybe a fingertip." I figured as much, but I was hoping for a little more progress! I'm thankful I made it to what's considered full term and will keep crossing things (slowly) off my to-do list. Baby is head down and still somewhat high, which is weird because he feels like he could push through at any moment lately! I definitely cringed when she said they would let me go to 41 weeks. Happy Friday to everyone!

    bananas / 9899 posts

    I forgot to report this yesterday! I had an ultrasound to confirm baby is head down (she is). She's doing well, I was able to see her little feet (wish I could have gotten a photo!!). She was measuring about 4 days ahead.

  25. JennyPenny

    nectarine / 2460 posts

    Well, I'm still having the occasional contraction with no patterns or increase in frequency. Any time I get 2 in a row (so far about 20 min apart) I start to get excited, but I've never had more than 3 in a row so it may still be a while I guess.

    In the meantime I've finally "finished" the nursery. I've got a couple pieces of art left to buy/do but those will all have to wait till after the baby is born since they'll be personalized pieces with name, birthdate etc. It was definitely a labor of love - lots of DIY projects including the built-ins! But I'm really pleased with it and its now my favorite room in the house

    @msmug: @beckysue: Sorry ladies I agree with @T.H.O.U. in making it gold. Some of us are only willing to post photos in a gold thread... But I would definitely participate without photos in a regular thread if you want to start one?

  40. T.H.O.U.

    wonderful clementine / 24134 posts

    @beckysue: @msmug: Yes, I'm sorry.

    Its not only the pictures, but I really don't want details on the status of my cervix out on the public internet. Which is part of the reason why I pay for a gold membership! But if you want to start another thread, I would be happy to participate with just the details I feel comfortable sharing.
