i TOLD myself i wouldn't test again, but i had one more cb digital weeks estimator test left and i caved. 3+! I'm glad it increased, whatever is happening, at least it seems like the hcg is increasing!
how is everyone doing today? are you all done with holiday shopping? I'm 99% done finally!!! I am a procrastinator in a big way. After tomorrow, i should definitely be 100% done. This has been a stressful holiday season for me. how about you?

@chibee: We finished last night - thank goodness because we are waking up after an overnight ice storm. Everything is covered in ice and it is the perfect excuse to stay in and finish up the wrapping and clean the house.
Woohoo on the tests! I ended up testing a again too and my lines have gotten darker. They are now darker or as dark as the control line. I have only had faint/medium lines in the past .. so I am taking that as a good sign blood work tomorrow. I am having the same symptoms as you - sore boobs and extra tired.. but I also wrote that off as lack of coffee

@T.H.O.U.: Love this list!
I'm doing well, thanks for asking Just hoping the time flies until my u/s next week! I've had cousins in town for a family event this weekend, so I haven't been around much. I hope you're all doing well!

@beckysue: congrats and welcome!
@Reese: I'm so sorry your ultrasound didn't go well. If you were barely over 4 weeks, then it makes sense you wouldn't see much and your betas could very well be low at the beginning. Hoping for the best for you at your next ultrasound. hugs.
@chibee: I did the same thing with my tests! I took another a week later and was so happy when it said 3+! lol. I'm doing well. I have one last thing I need to get. We're getting my MIL a framed family photo and I forgot the frame was a 5x7 and I printed a 4x6 so I just need to do that. Oh and we're making DS a play kitchen so DH is working hard on that trying to get it done in time.
@xInfinity: Congrats and welcome! !! So sorry about your previous loss.
@kodybear: thanks for the updated list!
@T.H.O.U.: cool list! And woohoo for being 6 weeks!

@kodybear: Thanks!
@chibee: At least you're 5+1, I'm the only August mama who's still in week 4! Gah!
Had my blood draw first thing this morning, now anxiously awaiting those betas. I watched some of this weeks SNL to keep myself distracted and took a nap. I really need to make some Christmas cookies, but I have no motivation. Really, really, really hoping for good news.
bananas / 9357 posts
Wow, exhaustion has hit me the last few days. I've gone to bed before 9 and even took a nap yesterday. My morning sickness isn't too bad. I feel a little queasy, but I just have to make sure I keep food in my belly. When I get hungry, is when it gets worse.
Brushing my teeth is hard just like the last time I was pregnant. It's like my gag reflex gets more sensitive. I can barely brush the back of my teeth with out gagging.
I've got to call my doc for the 4th freaking time today! I got progesterone and betas done on the 12th. The progesterone machine was acting funky so the results took longer. Last wed they were ready, just needed to be reviewed by a doc. They put in a note to call me back and no one did. I called back thur & friday and no one ever got back to me! Sure is reassuring to me as a patient. What if my progesterone is low and I need supplements? And they haven't even reviewed it yet? ugh.
nectarine / 2936 posts
@mrskc: That is frustrating! Is this the OB or RE? I had something similar happen with the RE last week and was not on progesterone for 2 days when I needed to be. I took some that I had stashed in my closet. It wasn't all their fault because a portion of it was dealing with my awful insurance, but it was very frustrating. If you don't get a response today can you drop by the office? They definitely need to take care of that before the holidays!

@xInfinity: Welcome!
@mrskc: Thanks. I went in for my second blood draw today so they can see if I am on track for being early at my ultrasound. I can hopefully get those results tomorrow. My next ultrasound is the 30th.
bananas / 9357 posts
@mrs. 64: it's an OB. I just don't get it. They've been great about everything else. I'm thinking I'll call this morning and if I don't hear back this afternoon, I'll be driving over there. They won't want to deal wit me then! Even Friday when I called, the message was sent to a supervisor so I don't know what their freaking problem is. When I see my ob on Friday, he's going to hear an earful from me.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@mrskc: Yea thats just not cool. Either they need to call you back or just schedule you so you can speak with someone.

@mrskc: ugh thats terrible. is this the same obgyn u used last pregnancy?
@T.H.O.U.: love the list!! thats cool to see where people are at! i can't believe ppl in our month are at 8 weeks already! feels soo far for me!
these days i've been feeling more nauseous, mostly in the morning. haven't thrown up yet thankfully. once i eat enough i feel better. i've also been alittle extra moody. hah i blame it on the pregnancy but who really knows. also i've totally gained a couple lbs already! this happened last pregnancy too. i only ended up gaining 28lbs total last time so i'm hoping i have a similiar trend this time. i'm hoping its just water weight right now! ack

@T.H.O.U.: love the list! It's crazy to see our week spread.
@mrskc: I hope they call you ASAP - that's so annoying!
@Reese @Mrs. 64: fingers crossed for your results tomorrow!!
@Chibee: you are definitely not alone in the repeat testing!
@xInfinity: welcome!! praying for an uneventful 9 months!

I'm finally one week away from my first appointment. The last 4 weeks have certainly dragged, but hopefully the holidays and telling my family will speed things up. I'm so nervous and excited for the appointment.
I have definitely been hit hard by the fatigue fairy. I've been going to bed around 9 and have taken occasional naps. I've had minor nausea since about 7dpo, and was feeling like I might make it through the whole pregnancy without throwing up. Last night changed that though…lost my dinner Oh well, hopefully its just a sign that all is well in there...
bananas / 9357 posts
Well finally got my results. They said my progesterone was 8.9 & hcg was 2500. That was on the 12th so I would have been 4w3d.. or farther along. I really have no clue how far along I am. Isn't 9 for progesterone low? My googling tells me they like to see 10 or above but the nurse said it was a normal number. Now I'm worried. Maybe I should call them back?
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@mrskc: 9 does seem low but I don't really understand progesterone. My OB prescribed it to me even though I was rising just above 20. He said its more often done no matter what the numbers.
eggplant / 11408 posts
@mrskc: sorry to intrude here-but my doctor likes them around 20. Some don't mind them a little lower, but he supplements for anything lower than 20. If I were you, I might consider calling them back and asking for supplements, because that number does seem low to me.

Thanks for the welcome ladies!
@mrskc: That's so frustrating, you'd think they would want to avoid ticking off pregnant ladies. I don't know anything about what those levels are supposed to be but good news that the nurse said they are normal.
@kodybear: I hear you on the nausea. I didn't have any of that during my last pregnancy so I'm not complaining about any symptoms that are different this time.
nectarine / 2936 posts
They promised my betas would be done today and now they said tomorrow by 1:30. More waiting.
bananas / 9357 posts
@LovelyPlum: @T.H.O.U.: @kodybear: I got a hold of the nurse again. She talked to the on call doc and they called me in a prescription for progesterone. Not like it will really matter now. She did say it should be over 10. I'm so worried that I already lost the baby. I have been having symptoms so maybe that's a good sign? I'm still hopeful everything will turn out ok, but I won't be surprised if I don't get good news at my appt friday.
pear / 1616 posts
@mrskc: I definitely think it's a good sign uve been having symptoms! I'm hoping the best for u on friday! I can't believe they didn't call u back more urgently about that.
@mrs. 64: was today your first beta or second?
eggplant / 11408 posts
@mrskc: don't give up hope!! I'm glad they got you a script. Take it, and have faith. I'm pulling for great news on Friday!!!

Isn't it crazy that I had essentially a textbook cycle after months of no ovulating and everything being irregular?

@pui: welcome! Yes your chart looks very "normal" ! Welcome!
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@pui: haha I am very interested to see what your EDD is. Are you going to tell anyone yet?
pomegranate / 3521 posts
Quick check in - blood tests came back on track. My betas were 151 when I tested at 4 weeks and 850 6 days later. DR said on track but wants to wait for the ultrasound (Monday). He said 850 was where I should be/increasing adequately... Does that seem low? I always see people talking in the thousands ..
@pui: Welcome, neighbor!
