@winniebee: awesome! i'm sure it will be a blast...both skiing and time away from kiddos!
@cheert16: yup, hair loss has begun. it was bad from 4-7 months last time. and then the shorties around my hairline as it started to grow back were just ridiculous.

@Freckles: We have/had torticollis too, we do many stretches and holds to help her!!! I do a few every diaper change and hold her a certain way, she favors her left side.....so we gold her like this..it stretches her neck to the right...she actually likes it! Let me know if you have any ??? We go to PT too, although she exited today :)))

@whenoceansrise: ohhhh gosh!!!!!
@winniebee: Have fun! Enjoy your time

@FaithFertility: Mine favours the right because his neck muscle is much weaker on that side. The ped only suggested more tummy time, and moving him from back to side to stretch/strengthen the neck. He also suggested rolling up a little blanket under the crib sheet against the weaker side. Thanks for the stretch tip - i'll have to try that! That's great to hear that she no longer has it - how long did you spend in PT before it got better?

Woot! Survived shots, she really took them like a champ with minimal crying. Her doctor felt she was doing fine in all areas. We talked about her formula and spit up and present fussiness. He said teeth could be on the way (oh boy!) and recommended we try Enfamil AR. He didn't think our current change to Enfamil Gentlease would really provide any change in spit up. At least he gave me samples! She's 15 lbs 13 oz and 24.5 inches. Growing like a little weed

@Freckles: We did 1 day a week for 6 weeks, it was very mild, but some of the stretches the pedi showed me I just didn't think I could do effectively...afraid to hurt her....
Play with toys to his weak side too, to make him turn that way more!

@cheert16: Yes my hair started falling out about a week ago. I'm constantly removing it from M's hands.
@MamaG: Glad the appt went well. M's 4 month appt is next Thursday. Hope he doesn't cry like he did with his 2 month shots.

@MamaG: great appt!
@Freckles: glad u caught it!!!

Done with four month check up as well. Ethan did great for shots, just cried for thirty seconds after, nothing mommy hugs couldn't fix.
He is 16 lbs 5 oz. (86%) and 26" (91%). Head is 78% at 43 cm.
Dr. Gave us a prescription for antibiotics to help get rid of this bug finally, he s been sneezing and had some fluid in his ears but otherwise a happy baby. He did say this was the worst cold and flu season in 11 years, so yay for it almost being over!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@josina: Aw man I hope that the antibiotics do the trick and that his sleep improves!
I feel like Ryan is going to be 12 lbs at his 4m. So much smaller than everyone else lol!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@winniebee: Ryan started smaller K was just shy of 8 lbs at birth. It's all a matter of relativity. K is so much smaller than C was at this age.
I really wish I knew how this kiddo can sleep for three hours at daycare, but home its a fight to get her to sleep and she crap naps for 20-30 minutes! I asked her teacher today and she said she just falls asleep on the floor or in her crib. Hmmmpf!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MamaG: oh I know! He was only 5 lb. It's just crazy to see that some babies are 3-4 lbs bigger still! I give up trying to figure out naps too. I bet daycare really tired her out.

@snowjewelz: It was a young woman (no kids though) who walked in on me. I would definitely feel way more awkward if it was a man. The funny thing is that the same woman walked in on another coworker of mine pumping like a month ago. I mean - hello! The pump is loud! She said "oh, sorry, I heard you talking on the phone! Um, yes - and I am also pumping at the same time.
@cheert16: My hair has been falling out for about a month. It's so disgusting. It takes me twice as long to shower because I'm working so hard to get rid of all of the hair so it doesn't clog up the drain. Gross.
@winniebee: Have fun skiing! Sounds like fun
@MamaG: Sounds like a good appointment! Hopefully the formula change will help with the spit up. I am absolutely covered in spit up over here. I've read that 4 months is the peak so I'm looking forward to a decrease soon hopefully!
@Adira: I hope that you were able to pump and get out in time! I still can't believe you have a mothers' room - let alone more than one! I'm the one knocking on someone else's office door and asking them if I can borrow their office for 20 minutes. The things we do for our babies!!

@FaithFertility: he's got some Chubb! Mostly in his face

Oh man, we are having spit-up issues too. Although, quite a few instances have been, umm, self-inflicted?? Is my baby the only one who does this?! He'll be shoving his two fingers into his mouth as far as they can go, which will, of course, trigger his vom reflex. Ugh. I try to stop him, but don't want to stop him from gnawing on his hands completely.

@theotherstark: she gags on her hands or should I say whole fists a lot but no spit up
honeydew / 7283 posts
@theotherstark: J has done this a few times and I definitely remember M doing it when she was little. I think (as gross as it is) it's just something they have to figure out on their own and get past.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@MrsF: ha okay, at least he's not the only one!! so gross. I always feel bad for him when he does it, too.

@theotherstark: I know it - poor kiddos are always getting in their own way

@MamaG: What a great appointment! She's getting so big!!
@josina: Yay for a good appointment! Hopefully the meds help!
@winniebee: All babies grow at different rates. Xander was a peanut too. Logan being chubby is all new to me!
@MrsF: Yes! I was worried for no reason. She wasn't there when I needed the room and didn't show up while I was using it. She probably pumps at a different time. Our building is fairly large - there are a couple thousand people that work here. When I came back after having Xander, there was only one Mother's Room, but there were 5-6 of us using it!! It was in use all day, so it was impossible to move your slot if you had a meeting or something! So they built another room.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: Ryan is huge compared to Tyler! He's growing great. Just a small kid :). How is Logan's cough?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: Oh my gosh, soooooooooooo much better!!! Almost completely gone! I was just thinking about it yesterday that it seems like Logan and Ryan had the same thing, except Logan never had the fever. Day 5/6 were the worst for us, just like for you guys, but we're finally past the hurdle and he's definitely on the mend! No more wheezing, no more middle of the night coughing fits, and he finally doesn't sound congested all the time!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@Adira: Glad it all worked out And also that Logan is feeling so much better!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: Good that it worked out! It's just crazy how much thought we have to put into this pumping gig everyday! If I have meetings in a day I literally have to sit down and really think about when I'm gonna pump!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
So K doesn't seem to want to sleep till 9pm again.. I tried to put her down from like 6:30-8 to no avail. But she really can't be sleeping at 9 b/c she didn't want to wake up till 8 this morning and I really need to leave the house by then!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: hmmmmm, maybe try to move it by 5-10 mins a day?? But I think you did that once already?
eggplant / 11861 posts
I feel like I'm ovulating, twinge and lots of EWCM? I'd be thrilled if my body is doing its thing! We shall see if AF shows soon, in mean time DH stay away
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: I'm lucky that I'm not in very many meetings, and so far people have scheduled their meetings around my pump times (I have all my pump times in the calendar so people know I'm busy).
No advice on the sleep issue! Logan's been staying awake a lot longer at night than I expect too. I just keep feeding him, hoping that THIS time will knock him out for the night, haha.
@FaithFertility: Oh gosh, I don't want to ovulate ever again, haha.
nectarine / 2210 posts
After posting yesterday how K's naps are crazy short, she decided to prove me wrong by sleeping 3 hours total at daycare yesterday, once for 1 hour and then 2. I guess that'll teach me to try to predict her!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Miss Ariel: Logan did the opposite! Tuesday, he took a one hour nap and then a THREE hour one at daycare! And then yesterday he napped all of one hour TOTAL. Damn unpredictable babies!
nectarine / 2210 posts
@Adira: I haven't taken to scheduling mine yet, although have definitely thought about it. But I haven't had any issues yet, so I may wait to see if I need to.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Miss Ariel: I only really have my scheduled because I want to book the room for the times I need it and not have other moms think it's free during those times.
