@MamaG: Ugh, I'm so sorry to hear about your rough night! I hope tonight is better for you.
@BandDmommy: I'm the same way for MOTN feeds - all business!! I don't interact with him at all, but he was still wide awake and staring at me!! It was both cute and annoying, haha.
@MrsF: That was so sweet of your husband to be up with the baby in the middle of the night so you could get some rest!!
@babypie: Holy smokes!!! Congratulations!!! Sounds like you got to the hospital JUST in time!!!

@theotherstark: seriously! I had skipped burping before but then I didn't want her to have gas pains later either or spit up. I want to stop checking her diaper but didn't want her sit in poo all night! I had also not offered the other boob before cuz I was too tired but then now I do it to make sure she has enough to eat and maybe sleep longer.. So complicated!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: i Feel like there is no correlation... Kara has been eating all day and will prob eat all night!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
The wakeful cluster feeding has started, since maybe he actually will sleep tonight!

@Adira: I hope so!
I feel so lonely... Having a newborn during the holidays kinda suck, since I'm excluded from everything! I feel like I'm not part of society. It doesn't even feel like Christmas!

@babypie: congrats! Love her name
Been so busy with my little snuggler to keep up to date. Hope everyone has a great holiday, no matter how you celebrate... I feel you @snowjewelz: I am about to take a nap and been awake all day with this baby, doesn't feel much likes Christmas., my whole family is coming over tomorrow so maybe it will then...
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@magnolia: I either feel great that I have adult company or I get overwhelmed and annoyed easily lol so we will see how tomorrow goes! Merry Christmas!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Mine's been sleeping for 2 hours now and I'm still up and will be for another 2 hours (watching It's A Wonderful Life). I'm so screwed for tonight!
I'm sorry!!! Why are you being excluded from things??? Having a newborn shouldn't be a reason not to include you, depending on the activities.

@babypie: wow! Congratulations and glad you got to go home today for Christmas! Best Christmas ever!
@snowjewelz: I probably exclude myself more than others do, 30 minutes in a separate room to nurse a couple times at each Christmas we had. Friday my sister is having a surprise 30th birthday dinner at a nice restaurant and we probably won't go, I don't know, do people bring babies to places like that? I feel like it'd just b too much of a hastle and then I'd be in the bathroom nursing anyways. (I don't think it would bother me to nurse at the table with a cover, but I imagine others would be uncomfortable?)
Sleeping baby on my chest... Time for me to get back to sleep!

Gah, I am so tired! I can barely keep my.eyes open during this MOTN feed. Playing Candy Crush isn't helping either. Hope others are getting more sleep than me!

@snowjewelz: I'm sorry you feel that way! Hope tomorrow is a better day!

@Adira: no one is excluding me.. I'm just stuck home so I have cabin fever! There are so many things going on at church for Christmas so I def missed out!
Had a rough night here... Kara won't sleep unless she so held! Walked around rocking her to no avail so end up letting her sleep on me
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: awwww we just resorted to that too, I just put her in her swing!
I get you on church, we have a great Christmas Eve program kinda bummed we missed it!
My mom and baby sister came yesterday!!!! I think this picture sums it up!

Merry Christmas ladies! I'm feeling pretty crummy after a long night of trying to soothe baby J. Looking forward to a cup of coffee. We're at my parents' so it'll be nice to spend the day with family. I agree @snowjewelz: it doesn't feel like Christmas in the way that I would like it to. I'm so grateful, but I also know from experience that I just don't love the newborn phase. I keep thinking of next year when J will be toddling around with his big sister, I won't be breastfeeding every few minutes and we will all be getting a little sleep. Now that will be fun

@FaithFertility: I know! I'm always just asking DH how church is every week, what happened, etc! And then seeing pics of my small group doing secret Santa, going out to eat on Christmas eve just makes me a tad sad!
@MrsF: I'm totally with you. After a rough night we finally napped together this morning. I'm like why can't you sleep like that at night?!
I can't wait to take a shower and put on real clothes and feel like a person!!

Hope everyone had a good Christmas! I realize I don't post on IG much, here are some pics from the day and from our DYI photoshoot!

@Adira: @BandDmommy: @whenoceansrise: thanks ladies! DH took and edited them! I just dressed her and staged it.
Up for 2nd feeding... Ugh i was hoping she would sleep more due to all the activity today/tonight!

@snowjewelz: beautiful pictures, my babe is so cranky tonight, think with all over it was over stimulating for her!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: at least you know the reason! I felt so bad too that we kept taking pics of her, putting her in outfits, etc! I hope you can catch some rest today!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: beautiful!
I think Jack was getting overstimulated yesterday too. I actually managed to put him in the bedroom swaddled in the rock'n'play for a couple of (brief) naps. One at the same time as his sister was napping in a different room. The holy grail! Helped me to glimpse the light at the end of the tunnel.

@snowjewelz: gorgeous!
The holidays are lovely but so hectic and hard to be nursing a newborn around the clock in the middle of all the festivities! I also think Ryan has been in his 2 week growth spurt because for 2 days all he wanted to do was nurse. If he was awake he was fussing to nurse.
I'm getting suspicious of a dairy intolerance. He had some green poo and has been spitting up more. Only time will tell.

Long day and it is only 4:48 DH is rocking her she is super fussy today! Hoping for some sleep tonight! I truly need to nap more, but it is hard with comoany, but I need to make it a priority!
My mom and I ran to publix today, it.was hard! But it was just an hr

@winniebee: Did your first have MSPI? My first son did and I'm concerned this one will too. I'm also holding my breath for possible reflux issues.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@ustechie: yeah my first had a dairy intolerance (green slimy poo and had flecks of blood around 8w) and ultimately I put him on Nutramigen around 4.5 months. He also had silent reflux (though honestly I'm not sure if that was a legit diagnosis). So I'm definitely on the lookout for symptoms. Rs poop went back to yellow after a few green ones. I know the color doesn't matter as much as the consistency but I'm still suspicious. I should probably just cut back on dairy but the holidays are so tough! What were your first child's symptoms?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
The holidays are just cruel for post partum weight loss. Wah!
I was just looking up old threads on HB from when my first was a newborn. Same bad night sleep for him I guess I just totally blocked it!!!

Heading out to dinner first time without D. I have been cluster feeding her and will pump milk for bottle before I leave. Hope all goes well!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@BandDmommy: I ran a few errands without R last week and it felt so strange but it was good! Good luck!
