Second night of Ryan going to bed wide awake. Zero fussing or crying. Last night sucked though. Up at 130, 330, up for day 545. Tonight.....?

Just read through all the updates quickly, but just wanted to say that M pulled himself up on his Bjorn bouncer all by himself today (Could've picked something a little more stable there kid!! lol)
@winniebee: That sounds like M's sleep schedule most night. Hopefully he goes back to STTN at some point!

@cheert16: that's a great deal. We bought ours about six weeks ago at full price.

We need to purchase our car seats. I'm wanting to get the Clek Floo in pink. We will get two, one for each car, I think.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
We have the Graco MySize 65. It's the same one we have for Xander and like it - plus it has a high rear-facing height limit and we want to rear-face as long as possible.

@winniebee: Hope last night went better! Our nights are getting better, I think we're climbing out of the regression slowly! K wakes at 3am and 5am, but she is doing that initial 8 hr stretch, and has been easier to put back down
@cheert16: What a deal! Too bad we already bought all our carseats last month!
@FaithFertility: In our car we have the Chicco Nextfit. We literally brought K to BBB and she seems the most comfortable in that and we like all the features and it's rated highly. In my mom's car we have the Britax Boulevard; it's not the clicktight model so we got in on clearance for super cheap. She likes that one just fine too!

Umm... So guess why I was all dried up? I finally got my period back at 9.5 mo pp. So now I have renewed hope that maybe I can keep pumping one bottle a day and keep nursing! I just didn't even think it could be my period b/c there were no cramps, no symptoms!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Oh! That's exactly how AF returned for me with Xander, and also right at 9.5 months! I remember just going to the bathroom and she was here! I was like "What!!" Hopefully once AF is gone again, your supply will go back up, though mine never really recovered the first time around.

@snowjewelz: Makes perfect sense now! Hope you can continue!!!

Last night was better.....up at 1....and I fed and gave Advil (suspect teeth....) and then he slept til 5. Fed him again and he slept til 7. I see the first tooth FINALLY popping through this morning!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: That's great to maybe have an explanation! I hope that you can wean on your terms when you're ready
@winniebee: Still sounds like a pretty tough night, but I'm always so relieved to find a tooth and have something to blame the bad sleep on. I hope he's feeling better quickly!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: Well, I'm def still on the fast track of weaning, but I always say I'll keep going if I can pump one full bottle per day, since to me that's still worth the work.
@winniebee: Exciting! There is something about 5am.. K always wakes at 5 too.

@FaithFertility: we initially got britax boulevards for T. I honestly didn't love them - bulky and the wings around his head annoyed him. I also don't find adjusting it very easily. Around a year ago my MIL got a Diono Radian for her car....but it is really heavy....so we traded her a boulevard (which is light). I have the Diono in my car now and I love it and so does T. We still have the Britax Boulevard in my husband's car and it's nice to be able to take in and out for travel etc. I just got R a Diono for my car as well (it was around $220 on sale at Diapers.com). I'm not sure what we'll do for my husband's car for him yet. Like I said, I love the Diono seat and it converts to a booster so its the last seat my kids will ever need. But it IS heavy and I don't know if he wants R's seat in his car all the time.

@winniebee: Hopefully now that the tooth is popping through, he'll start sleeping better!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: when he sleeps through he always wakes at 5 anyways so it honestly wasn't that bad b/c I got to sleep until 7 : )

@faithfertility: we have a first years in my car, which i don't really like and it will be the first one to go whenever we start replacing! we also have a chicco nextfit that was originally a second seat in DH's car for K, but i'll probably start using RF for E soon. i never take the bucket seat out of the car anymore.
my plan is to get K a Diono Radian sometime this fall and use that and the NextFit in my car for everyday seats. Not sure if i'll get rid of the First Years or just keep it as a spare. We also have a Cosco Scenera that lives at my in-laws. Honestly those things are so cheap (like $40) and get the job done for short visits...I should probably just buy 3 more and have 2 each living at both of our parents' places!
We don't currently have any car seats in DH's car since he will rarely/never have both kids in his car...between his hours and the fact that i am SAH, it's pretty much either me or all of us, and we just use my car.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@FaithFertility: We have Britax Boulevards from C. I never RF her in those seats, though I'm going to try with K. I'm that mom that turned her kiddo FF at 1 yo. We sunk a fair amount of money into those seats with the intention of using them for two kids. And we just bought C new seats recently so that these would be available for K.

We have the Graco Myride 65 Convertible and like it so far; I've still got E in the infant seat (I always leave it in the car, he's too heavy to carry both), and DH has the convertible. I need to get him switched though asap and buy another convertible.
@snowjewelz: There is hope then! Hope you can keep pumping/nursing...
@winniebee: Glad sleep was better last night!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
How big are the babies that have switched to convertible? I leave the bucket in the car anyways as well...but Ryan still fits so I haven't switch. The Chicco key fit goes up to 30 inches and he's only 27.5 and up to 22 lbs and he's only 17.5. I imagine I'll just switch him closer to a year.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@winniebee: We have the Graco Snugride 35 and it goes to 35lbs and 32 inches. We haven't changed yet. And I still lug it in/out of daycare each day with her in it. It's about convenience really for us. I have somewhere to secure her in the house while I quickly get C's stuff and mine together to head out the door. And I'm not sure we will be able to get our Britax RF in my DH's car with the way the front seats are currently positioned.
We kept C in the bucket until 1 yo.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: K is not that big, she's probably around 20 lbs now? We just switched early b/c she doesn't like the bucket and it's a pain for us too.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Our infant only went up to 29" so we switched Logan when he was around 28". We were bringing it in and out of daycare though because we only have one (and two bases) and it was getting heavy, so we wanted to switch to our two convertibles.
pomelo / 5660 posts
@winniebee: we are still in bucket. We will stay with it until she is 1.
