@snowjewelz: I'm not really sure what happened. I was in the shower and I bent over to wash my feet and it just happened - sudden shooting pain in my back/side/hip area that just isn't going away. I may have to visit the doctor if it doesn't get any better...

No theme here yet....oops! I did just send a save the date email to our immediate families though. With holidays, I feel like Ryan's birthday will be lost in the shuffle!

@winniebee: It really will be so hectic! Thanksgiving, then K's birthday, then have to put up all the Christmas decorations!
nectarine / 2210 posts
@snowjewelz: we're doing K's party on the 12th... So I'm guessing we'll already have decorations up? I haven't quite figured that out yet.

as far as themes go, i think we are going to do a where the wild things are theme!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Miss Ariel: I know! We usually decorate after Thanksgiving, but now it'll look weird and clash with her birthday decorations!
@whenoceansrise: that is super cute!
pomelo / 5660 posts
@whenoceansrise: cute! I've seen tons of stuff for that theme.
@FaithFertility: cute!
Our theme is pink & gold princess party. We are renting out a play facility for her party.

I'm slowly coming up with lists of presents to buy, presents I've already bought, and suggestions for others. So far my to-buy list has by far the most on it!

@Adira: Such a cute invite! I hope you're feeling better!
I am totally in denial about J turning 1. I'm looking forward to no longer pumping at work, but other than that... M's birthday party is this weekend so I'll start thinking about J's after that. I'm having a hard time because his actual birthday is the day before Thanksgiving. Tough time for party planning.
I can't believe that Molly turns three today! It's crazy to look at her doing so many things for herself - using the potty, sleeping in a bed, having advanced conversations, going to preschool, and to think that J will be doing those things in just 2 years! Amazing. I got to go in to her preschool class and sit with her at circle time and read a book to the class with her. She was so proud, it was awesome

@MrsF: You could have his party on the 29th, like me! Right after Thanksgiving!
Happy 3rd Birthday to Molly!! It's crazy how fast they grow and can suddenly do so many things!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@Adira: the 29th would be perfect and I hope we can do that. Unfortunately I'm currently scheduled to work that Thursday (thanksgiving), Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It's making me sick just thinking about it because I wouldn't see the kids for even a minute for almost 5 full days Anyway, I'm trying to get it switched!

@MrsF: That work schedule does NOT sound fun. Hope you can get it switched.
@FaithFertility: Super cute!
We are having E's 'football' theme party on Black Friday, and I've given family advance notice so they have it off (and are done shopping by then! ).

M's bday is on Thanksgiving this year, so might just wait & do something the Saturday after. I'm thinking Elmo, because he's into Sesame Street right now.
@MrsF: Happy birthday Molly!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: Aww that's awesome! Time really flies!
@josina: Haha, hopefully done shopping for HIM! lol!
@AngelicOne: There's so much to celebrate! (in a good way!)
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: Ohhhh so fun, when/if we have a boy ever it will definitely be football themed, DH LOVES him some football...lol
eggplant / 11861 posts
We haven't set a date yet, I want Dec 19th but that is BIL bday granted he is 26 but DH isn't off the weekend before or the weekend after?!?!?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: That's tough! But a baby's bday party is only a few hours of our his whole day?
We're probably gonna do 12/5, the day after, and it will be at home to keep it small and affordable.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: yeah that is my thought process I would do it only for a few hrs!
This time of year is super hard, so I honestly don't have much to work with!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: I'd check with BIL but probably still have it on that day - if he were 6, maybe not - but 26 - sure!

Our director told me tonight that K is changing classes on Monday. They have a pretty big sibling demand for the infant room so they are moving K to toddlers. It's going to be a very young toddler group with 10 kiddos and 3 teachers.
Seriously? 10 months, sleeping on a cot, sitting at a table to eat. How the heck did I get here?
And shoes, she must have shoes. I've been putting it off, but can't any longer.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@MamaG: That's amazing. Even though K is "toddling", it's still hard to picture them as toddlers
pomelo / 5298 posts
@MrsF: I know! I also realized (and confirmed) that she's going to get to go to the playground too. Oh my goodness. I'm not ready. C was 15 months when this all happened. K is 10.5! I know that physically K is way ahead of where C was, but this mama isn't ready!
pomelo / 5660 posts
@MamaG: I'd be fine with everything except sleeping on a cot. 10 months just seems young for that.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MamaG: Wow... that just seems... wrong, haha. I can't really imagine a baby sleeping on a cot or being stable enough to sit on a regular toddler chair!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@MamaG: Is K actually walking? My ten month old isn't even crawling yet, so the thought of him being in the toddler room is horrifying to me, haha. Luckily we have an Infant 2 room that he can move to before he goes to toddlers!
pomelo / 5660 posts
@Adira: at school D will go to their is older infant room which they move to when they are mobile. It still has cribs though.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@BandDmommy: Yep, ours is the same. The older infants are mobile and still have cribs and those highchair tables. I think Logan's the oldest in his class now because he's just not mobile yet! As soon as he is, he'll move over.
