@AngelicOne: welcome back : )
@josina: way to go, E!!
R doesn't seem that interested in walking....he is very physical and climbs on everything, but is content to crawl and cruise everywhere.
I think we've cut the 4 pm nursing so are just down to 330, 630, 9, 1/130, and 7. I cut out the before bed pump too and it is SO LIBERATING. Strange that most of his feeds are front loaded? I don't think he really drinks much at 9 am though. In fact he went down for his nap without nursing at all this morning and then did nurse quickly afterwards around 10. His diapers definitely are not as wet as before so I need to keep an eye out and offer more water and hopefully he'll start drinking some cows milk soon.

@josina: That's some very impressive walking! (am I remembering right that he was on hardwood in socks?)
@snowjewelz: J was a bottomless pit today too! I couldn't believe how much dinner he ate. He was super cranky this evening and I'm hoping he wasn't just hungry

I think J's working on another molar. I had to give him Tylenol and rock him over night and then again for nap today. We really need to get back in to better sleep habits after his ear infections, etc, but if he's hurting I feel so bad

@winniebee: Nice with the no pumping!
G seems pretty content on not walking either although her new thing is pushing around her walker so maybe?!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: J's not interested in walking either. If I try to help him walk he usually just drops down to crawl. Doesn't want to push his walker either. Definitely cruising more though.
When are you planning on introducing cows milk?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: I'll probably start soon. I gave him a little last week and he dribbled it out of his mouth. He'll be 11 months this wk and I want to be down to morning and night feeding soon. What ar your plans?
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: I've been giving him thawed BM in a sippy with meals but I should probably just switch to WCM or at least mix it. He has issues with constipation and I'm worried that he's going to have a hard time switching.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: I'm selfishly hoarding the 15 or so bags of breast milk in my freezer. He is staying with my parents for 3 nights in early dec right after his bday and I want to make sure I have a stash in case he has issues with wcm. I've offered some breastmilk in the sippy and sometimes he drinks but lots of times plays with it and I don't have much to waste!

We are done with formula. And I think we are done with bottles. She's quiet in her crib at the moment but very restless. We started wcm over the weekend. I fully expect a motn wake up with her teeth. C really tolerated teething so much better.

@josina: I saw! Nice job, E!! Can't believe how many early walkers this group has.
@MrsF: man, he is going to have all of his teeth before he's one!
@MamaG: ahh, good luck with the transition!
So fun seeing everyone's babes dressed up for Halloween. Hope everyone had a good one! The time change wasn't too bad for us; he has just been a little crankier in the evenings since his body hasn't adjusted to the new bedtime yet. I can't complain, though!
I can't keep up with H these days. Haha. He is walking (and almost running sometimes, if he hears me open the dishwasher or refrigerator) all over the place. Doesn't really crawl anymore, which I'm grateful for because he was wearing holes in all his pants knees. Ha. Can't believe how big these kids are getting, and how soon their first birthdays are coming up! Remember when they were just teensy little newborns?! gaaah.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: I'm forbidding you from using the word selfish after breastfeeding for almost a year. No way
I get it though - I'm only putting BM in a straw cup because I have a pretty big freezer stash. It probably makes a lot of sense to try WCM now though just in case he won't drink it!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@MamaG: Wow! Big girl! I hope the night is better than you are expecting. We're in molar hell here too
@theotherstark: I can't believe H doesn't crawl any more. Such a big kid! M didn't walk until she was 16 months and all of her pants had holes in the knees and her shoes were all scraped up on the tops.

Gahhh I thought time change would get better not worse! Up today at 5:15 and when I mean up, she was talking up a storm and pointing.to my nose as I was trying to rock her.....lol ohhh joy
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Ryan seems to have adjusted to the time change ok - he woke at 6 today (and even sttn last night 7-6....he's probably sick or something lol).
But my older who usually sleeps til 7/730 is waking up up at frigging 530!!!!!

@winniebee: gahhhh always something I feel like my dog is that 2nd child were if G sleeps like a queen she is puking, pacing, what have you!
I know doesn't compare..lol
G seems to be waking earlier and earlier, but is cranky too so I think teeth come into play as well!

@theotherstark: omg, i'm so not ready for that! e has been standing a lot more lately and has gotten much more adventurous in her cruising, but hasn't taken any steps yet.
@winniebee: @mrsf: i think e might be self weaning! the only time she nurses well anymore for sure is the early morning waking (between 4-6a). all of the rest of them, including before bedtime, are totally hit or miss. she has been eating more solids and drinking noticeably more from her straw cup (either water, BM from the stash, or WCM). so we'll see! she also is super congested so nursing is hard for her, constantly unlatching to take a breath, but then she nips me with her new teeth everytime she relatches. i'm not too unhappy with the lack of nursing
@faithfertility: yeah, i think the couple days after the time change are just kinda all over the place and brutal. two off-schedule, overtired kids (and parents!) here!!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@MrsF: Yep, socks on hardwood, but they have grippers on the bottom so helps a little!
He won't walk 'for' or 'to' us, but in the video was cruising to get to the cabinet I opened for him, lol. Most fun ever emptying the cabinets!
@MrsF: It is tough to enforce sleep when they're not feeling well, or 'might' not be feeling well! Hope he's feeling better!
@MamaG: Yay for being done with formula and bottles!
@FaithFertility: E was up at 5:20 this am too... luckily I just nursed and handed him off to DH who was up anyways. 1 more hour of sleep for me.
@winniebee: Yay for sttn! Hopefully he's not sick, and keeps it up for you!
I'm sucking at pump-weaning. It's so tough because E doesn't always nurse both sides at night so it ends up being super long before I pump at work. I need to just suck it up and do it. The weird thing is that I'm pumping less but getting more milk! Not helping!
I'm not sure when to introduce WCM since we have sooo much frozen bm, definitely need/want to use that up first.

E has been sticking his tongue out a lot the past two days, like all the time, wonder if it's teeth related or he just discovered this?
He does it when eating too.. pushing the food out of his mouth.. sooo hard not to laugh and tell him no! lol.
pomegranate / 3045 posts
I jinxed myself talking about the time change. H was up at 4:40am
@FaithFertility: right there with ya!! Ugh.
@MrsF: ha! Now I know why they make those patch-knee pants for kids
@winniebee: aw man! Get it together, T!!
@KayKay: I thought I had more time!! Haha.
@josina: too funny!! Love the little things they discover are fun.
pomelo / 5298 posts
I shall not talk about sleep. K was a little fussy this morning, I think she was looking for her morning bottle. She was really eager to eat as soon as her breakfast was put in front of her at school. Her latest discovery is that she can take off her shoes and socks. Ugh!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: We had 6am today too. So to keep count, it was 6, 5:30, 6. Whereas normally she was waking between 6:30-7.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: Hahaha! Oh opening the cabinets is def a huge incentive! Offer them anything "forbidden" and I'm sure they'll be running in no time haha!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: K's socks just fall off no matter what, haha! And b/c all I do is put her socks back on, she takes the socks and shoves it to her feet now knowing where they go lol!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Yup, Ryan's sick. Seems like just a cold. I knew it was too good to be true!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: Logan's sick too. Apparently this is the season for it!
pear / 1961 posts
@mamag: my kids never like to keep them on! i have to make a rule for K to deal with it...like, honestly say out loud: "new rule: you aren't allowed to take your boots off on the way to school"
pomelo / 5660 posts
@MamaG: Ugh, D pops her socks off so fast. She's also trying to put her own shoes on and gets really frustrated she can't. She's obsessed with shoes.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@BandDmommy: K loves to touch the tassels/bows on her mocs!
Btw, Target has a lot of clearance toys going on and there is a code for extra 25% off (BESTGIFT). In case anyone's looking for stocking stuffers for LOs!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@theotherstark: awww now that is early
@winniebee: stinky hope he is feeling better soon
@Adira: sorry!!!
@BandDmommy: G does that too tried to put them on! She keeps her shoes on surprising!!!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: awww early birds, I don't mind but she is a tired cranky mess!
Napped only from 12-1:40 today
Do I dare put her to bed at 7 or will that result in a 4 a.m. wake?!?!?
nectarine / 2210 posts
We still aren't bothering with shoes or socks. Although it helps that it's still in the 70s or 80s here. Although that hasn't stopped my mil from buying pair after pair of shores for her!
pomelo / 5660 posts
@Miss Ariel: I only put on when it's cold and we are going outside. Since she's working on walking, I want her to be barefoot as much as possible.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: She prob wants to go down early! Maybe she is trying to drop to one nap, lol.
I couldn't believe K napped from 10:50-12 in the pnp at daycare. I'll take it!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: Maybe she is st daycare for sure, but on the weekends she will go down no issue so who knows....lol
nectarine / 2210 posts
So K just picked up dh's milk cup and started drinking it. Surprisingly with only spilling a few drops. I guess she'll do fine once we transition to cold wcm!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@theotherstark: we haven't seen 4 am day start in awhile - man that's early in sorry!!
@FaithFertility: I hope you went with 7pm! Ryan seems to do better with the earlier bed time. Especially if he's overtired. Now, my first would only sleep 10 hours so 630 bed time was a no no! Hope it works out.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: T was like that at daycare. Would take a 15 minute stroller nap at school in the morning and then a few hours in the afternoon. Is that an option for her?
