@FaithFertility: We brush our teeth together in the morning using that little finger brush thing. She likes it! She thinks it's funny. And then she bites it, haha.
So K's cousin that's only 10 days older went into the hospital for pneumonia and RSV. Poor thing!!

@FaithFertility: they sent me a pic of her little body in a big bed with IV and a big oxygen mask... Broke my heart

@FaithFertility: tooth brushing is a fight for us! i try to do it every night but sometimes it just doesn't happen
@snowjewelz: oh no. i hope she is okay! poor baby!

Peoples. We figured out a peaceful way to combat her attitude during meal times! Play music! We used to, but she didn't like that specific album we played! So now we play her the videos she usually watches, just without the video part and she's back to a normal person during meal times!! Wahoo!

@FaithFertility: we brush J's teeth AM and PM when we do M's. He opens his mouth because he likes the taste of the toothpaste so I'm able to do a bit of decent brushing.
@snowjewelz: That's great! So excellent when you can figure out a simple solution.

@MrsF: funny I changed her toothpaste today..girl LOVED it!!! Yay Oral B!

@whenoceansrise: I just switched from a organic brand to Oral b first toothpaste ....she LOVED it!

Well we gave G WCM tonight she wasn't 100% OK, but did drink 80% of it...I don't think it is the taste more of it being cold!
Do your LOs drink it cold?!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: has to stay in hospital till Fri. DH went to see her and he said she was so sad super cranky and hard to see and no one can pick her up.
K had always prefer warm or at least room temp milk, be it breast or formula or WCM

@FaithFertility: we do and he loves it! My older hated it though and would scream and cry and that was the night routine until age 2.5!!!!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: yes he drinks it cold. It took a few weeks for him to get used to it but he loves it now.

@snowjewelz: Oh that poor baby (and parents)! I hope she is doing better soon
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: how do you warm it?!
I think she will get used to cold, it was pretty cold still when she drank it tonight!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: J drinks it cold, but he's never had anything warm in a straw cup so he doesn't know any different.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MrsF: either has she we always gave her formula room temp same with water, I think she will get better!
We also need to push water more, girl barley drinks it
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: the cold is probably just a surprise to her. If I were you I'd probably stick it out rather than warming it. It's so much more convenient to have milk at a restaurant, etc if they are used to drinking it cold.

@FaithFertility: M is still using my freezer stash of BM, but he drinks it cold. He'll also drink water out of the fridge, but more often then not, he drinks it cool or warm.
@snowjewelz: Hope K's cousin feels better soon!

@faithfertility: I would warm E's milk occasionally when we introduced it. Just ran the cup under warm water until it was lukewarm or so. Then I tapered off and don't do it anymore. She still doesn't chug huge amounts of milk or water usually but I try to offer often during the day and other than that am not worrying about how much she gets.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@KayKay: I am definitely going to offer water more maybe just on floor as she is playing
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: in the bottle warmer haha. She has drank it cold a few times and I also don't want to warm it forever, but Chinese ppl have this thing about not drinking cold stuff and my mom watches her a lot and she always warms her stuff so.... I only warm it to close to room temp; I don't have time to warm it that much haha! Plus at school I didn't tell them to warm it and she drinks it!

I'm behind!! I don't get on HB much at home and I just spent 6 days off work, so trying to catch back up!
Merry belated Christmas to everyone!!
@BandDmommy: Such of cute picture of your kids with Santa!
@FaithFertility: Just saw your post about putting G to bed without nursing. Are you weaning?? Weaning is so hard!
@AngelicOne: @Miss Ariel: Our living room is overrun with toys too. I packed up some and moved them upstairs (where the kids' rooms and office are). But our living room is still a mess. And we have a huge train set taking over our dining area!
@MrsF: Never figured out what Logan's issue was - he was fine the next couple days! He woke up crying last night, but Tylenol seemed to work getting him back to sleep. I'm pretty sure he's teething, so I guess maybe that's it? Sorry to hear you guys are sick! I'm getting sick too... damn winter.
@FaithFertility: So impressed with G's language skills!! Logan still only really says "mama" but he's definitely been babbling more and copying more sounds. And yesterday he was making car sounds while playing with a car!
@winniebee: Congratulations on your new house!!! It must be so nice to be all moved in, even if you aren't all unpacked yet. How are the boys adjusting? And I'm so sorry to hear you've had another CP. So unfair.
@AngelicOne: So scary about your dog getting to the chocolate!!! I'm glad he's going to be okay.
@FaithFertility: @josina: @snowjewelz: @BandDmommy: Logan seems better - I think he's just teething now!
@winniebee: No nursing. We're on day 20 of this strike. Pretty sure this strike is going to turn into an end of our nursing relationship. I'm just not sure how much longer I can offer and be rejected. I thought we were making progress last week because I'd offer and he'd open his mouth and then turn away, but now he's back to crying and fighting me as soon as I pop a boob out. It's so frustrating. I have no idea if his ear infections are gone or not, but we did the 10 days of medication and he SEEMS fine, but he seemed mostly fine before too, so I have no idea if it worked or not. I'm actually thinking of making a pediatrician appointment for Monday morning to check his ears and then go to another Nursing Mom's Group. It's hard though because I've already taken so much time off work, and I'm taking tomorrow off too.
@FaithFertility: So we just started brushing Logan's teeth. We should've started earlier, but I was lazy. He got a toothbrush and toothpaste for Christmas, haha. He's definitely not a fan - I have to hold him down to brush them, but I just do it quick, especially since he still only has 6 teeth. I think it helps that Xander has to brush his teeth too and we try to do them both at the same time.
@snowjewelz: Meals are a fight for us too. We have to sing Wheels on the Bus to Logan over and over and over again while feeding him! And then we can't eat our own food! And he's still stubborn and won't self feed at all, the jerk.

@Adira: Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
Yeah G pretty much weaned herself, I only nursed right before bed, but 60% of the time she would push away!
She pulled on my boobs one morning as if to nurse so I thought nope, let me tell her "all gone" now so she doesn't get used to demanding it!
She is a ok, I get sad sometimes and selfishly it is so easy to get her back down MOTN if she wakes with nursing but we stopped that a few weeks ago!
We just switched toothpaste yesterday and she LOVED it...lol silly girl!
Ughhhh drop offs this week have been hard, I'm still off work but wanted her to get back in a routine M-W as she is closed again Thur and Fri
She cries when I leave, but her sitter says she stops within 2 minutes they go look at her fish
Still hate to see those tears!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: Awww yeah G will eat/drink anything for her sitter so is sent milk there today....lol
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: YES to MOTN nursing being the best to get them back to sleep! Now that Logan is on his strike, when he wakes up in the MOTN, I'm at a total loss for what to do to get him back to sleep!!
Logan has started crying at daycare drop off too! It's normal at this age though, so take it as a good sign that G loves you and is attached to you!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@Adira: What works for us is I lay her down and pat her belly! She seems to be ok with that!
The other night around 3 she woke and was kissing me and saying hi hi....lol ummmmm......what are you doing kiddo?!? Melted my heart!!!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@Adira: I died inside, I sent Dad in and she was doing the same to him, he started laughing.... lol
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: I am so sorry he's still not nursing
Would you play wheel on the bus on your phone or something so you don't have to sing it? We just put on music on my phone set on low.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@Adira: Same! I don't get on much at home either, and only back to work today and then off again till next Monday! So nice having so much time off with E, reminds me of maternity leave.
Ethan got toothpaste and a new toothbrush for Christmas too... made the mistake of letting him play with the toothpaste tube though and now can't find it. lol.
I'm not super good about brushing his teeth but will give him the toothbrush and he chews on it so figure he's getting some brushing done. Need to start doing nightly though before bed.
Sorry about the abrupt possible-end to your nursing before you were ready.
@FaithFertility: Aww, that is so cute & sweet! We were trying to teach E to blow kisses yesterday, he thinks its hilarious and then ends up sucking on his hand, lol. Doesn't have the 'blow' part down.
@Adira: Feels like E has gone backwards with his language! He was saying mom, dad, kee (kitty), and see (sis) and now pretty much just sticks to da or dee for everything.
We are nursing basically MOTN and once each side before bed, like 6 pm and 8 pm, so I nurse each side twice a day.
To wean I'm giving bottles though, but supposed to be weaning from bottles also, ugh.
Not sure how to cut the MOTN sessions, he was STTN but gets up once or twice now and HAS to nurse to fall back asleep, although I haven't tried a bottle, but since he doesn't need milk overnight don't want to either. Maybe bottles of water...
E will get really whiny when he wants to nurse, but I'd like to be done soon too like @FaithFertility:. I don't want him asking for it.

@josina: Awww it is so hard, I think her grabbing for it was my cue...ok time to stop!
